I just watched this! So far about 6 of your videos, many twice. Your information is worth an incredible amount. I was only getting 0-7 views on shorts. I followed you advice and my last two shorts received close to 500 views. For me that is incredibly encouraging. Thank you so much for an informative video that is real advice.
I took some notes for you all! Here are the 7 settings: 1.) Set up your channel tags in the settings tab to let youtube know what your channel is about and prime the algorithm 2.) Set upload defaults to automatically fill the description with niche tags and social links. Also set automatic default tags for your videos so you don't have to enter them manually for each video 3.) Set your visibility to "unlisted" for 24hrs before setting your video live. This allows youtube algo to check and analyze the video before it goes live. 4.) Uncheck "publish to subscribers" if you are making videos outside of your main niche topic. 5.) Manually set up your chapters rather than letting youtube do them automatically 6.) Utilize end screens to promote your other content 7.) Allow remixing! I'm going to try all of these out, thanks for the video!
I created my channel a month ago and I have worked on optimizing the channel tags and the video tags. What I have find out is that those are critical for the algorithm to understand who you are and what you do.
