The Satara Lion pride abandoned by Casper the famous white Lion and his brothers!

- Casper the famous white Lion and his brothers spent a long time with the Satara Lion pride in the vicinity of Satara Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park. In January 2022 their first cubs were born in the pride and after that five more cubs were born. They were one big happy family!
However for the past few months Casper and his brothers disappeared from Satara Rest Camp vicinity and were often seen at Nsemani dam about 7 kilometers from Satara. Soon after that they started mating with the females of the Nsemani Lion pride! During this time the Satara females had to raise the cubs without the protection of Casper and his brothers.
Consequently there are only three cubs left and the Lionesses even welcome a sub-adult male Lion, unrelated to Casper and his brothers, from a previous litter. Although it is normal for male Lions to have more than one pride of Lionesses; this will be explained by Dr Paul Funston in the next video, it is heartbreaking to see the results of male Lions favoring a new pride of females

It brings me so much joy to see the Satara Pride again. I'm very disappointed in how Casper and Brothers left them unprotected and to raise the cubs alone. The beautiful girls and adorable cubbies are looking very good and healthy. I understand that lions want to expand their territory and take over other prides and I have seen Casper and Brothers mating with the Nsemani beauties and looking very happy and content. I'm glad that the last cubs are doing well and the girls are thriving along without the boys. Hopefully, the male with them is of help and is going to be successful, he's looking very impressive. I wish this pride a very successful journey and pray that the last cubs reach adulthood and reign for a long time to come. I do wish Casper and Brothers well and a long reign. Thanks for the update and video!
You are welcome..thanks for watching 🧡
At least the lionesses are clever hunters..
Almost cried reading the description. Lions have a brutal existence. Hope cubs & moms will be ok. Wish there were a magic wand to protect Satara lionesses & cubs. Lionesses are fierce warriors. It's great to hear the lionesses welcomed a sub-adult male. Come on Kruger Nat'l Park, do, give something back to safeguard these vulnerable lives. Be well Satara pride.
Yes I wish for the magic wand too 🧡
Young male is well tolerated .he is still treated as a cub .
and beautiful
Wow! I hate they wee abandoned like that! I hope these girls and their cubs are ok and the cubs make it to adulthood! ❤
Lets hope so 🧡
It is a risk for Satara pride💞that Casper and his brothers abandon them, I hope they will watch over them and the three little ones that they remain...I hope that the Shish males💞will be able to have a beautiful offspring who will reach adulthood...
Thank you for the video🙂
you welcome..thanks for the support 🧡
Those young cubs .the survivors of seven.❤❤❤
yes and growing strong
Hope is son grows fast and becomes king of the pride
Offspring for king? 😄
So sad their alone. I hope they stay safe.
yes me too
There is a lot going on in the lions world right now. Hopefully things calm down for all of these Beauties!!
Hope so too
On this morning Africa Adventures have posted Mfowethu back on Satara with the pride and Zorro is also there. Mfowethu was roaring and hopefully Casper and the other Brothers will show up to spend time with their Satara beauties, cubbies, and Zorro.
Great..good news!
I hope they will be ok.
Sure they will
Love the satara pride carnt believe Casper and his brothers left them with cubs hopefully the young male will help if he can
Not child support in lion world 😂😂
They had - lot of cubs and that one won’t survive
❤
@@559calibear420 they had 9 cubs and there are 3 healthy ones left so there doing good at the min
Sad who's going to protect them young cubs young male is loveable
Hopefully the Casper coalition will return
@@KrugersWildlifeDiary sure hope that happens 🙏
Adventurous Casper.
And brave 😄
Beautiful family
Thank you for the video and information about It.
👍👍
I would not say they abandoned Satara pride as the lions will come back later to see their lioness and cubs. They just wanted to visit another pride that's also belong them.
This lion's behavior of having several prides is very rare.
Having several prides is not rare
It is not very rare - many coalitions have several prides
Great video
thank you
This is sad...they, the young cubs need protection..the young male will soon have to find his way. Casper, has already been seen with another girl...😛 can't blame him he wants his seed..but were the others chased? Very unfortunate for these lovely mamas..trust they return or something great ( not bloody) happens for them💯👍🏾
Sure Casper and kie will be back
What a sad outcome. They should have stayed there to protect their cubs.
Beautiful!
❤❤
Handsome zorro protecting the pride
❤❤❤❤
People don't know one of the lioness rejected Casper then later in the day he and his brother had a fight Casper is not happy with the Satara pride however the other brothers can certainly be there for them. Casper enjoying mating with his new pride this is why he separate for awhile we will see later in the future will he be back
Thats bullshit. You are implying that lions are racist and discriminate, thats not true. No animal does that. Casper is not rejected by anyone. Male lions always fight eachother thats normal.
@@buraksimsek7264 are you crazy if you think lions don't have a preference you are crazy. You need to go. To great adventures page and see the video for yourself
@@buraksimsek7264 he had a fight over it man you need to see some video the lioness in satara pride rejected him then right after he had a fight with his brothers you are ignorant and you don't know what the hell you talking about it it all on video
@@buraksimsek7264 You brought up race. Lioness rejects Males a lot. Not just White ones. There's a video about that sighting. Nothing racist about it.
Hope your little feelings are OK.
yes they will come back
saw a vid with one of the bros going back to the pride. theyve jst taken over another pride.
Yes the Nsemani pride
I thought a few days earlier Casper and brothers were heading back to Satara Rest Camp. But it seemed that some Nsemani females followed which made them stop and start mating.
Rascals 😄😄
@@KrugersWildlifeDiary aha, Mfowethu just returned to check on satara pride😄
Is it known who controlled the Satara pride before, and who may have sired this young male?
Casper and the one brother did have a brief battle with the Nsemani males. Not sure if it were for the Satara lionesses.
Mostly he is the younger brother of the prid lionesses especially the mother of the cubs they have the same branding on their hips done by researchers
possibly not 100% sure he sired by the Old Sweni males or Old N’wanetsi males I don't know if they dominated the pride or just mated with them
@@michaelcreswell7947 yeah I remember that... I think the young Shish males were in Nsemani territory when that happened. Either way it's definitely a possibility though.
@@user-ks5ub6nm1d I'm aware of his relationship to the pride... I just wasn't sure if they had known pride males, and if his father's were known or just speculated. Both those coalitions we're dominant in that area... So very possible candidates. Thanks.
As I recall, the Satara pride was just a few lionesses accepted in young Shishangaan's territory. Several other lionesses joined later. Some of them could be a Nsemani breakaway. I think we can say Casper and brothers made this pride.
Mfowethu has been back the last 3-4 days.
Any updates on Shishangini males nd nesimany males,
sorry don't know
is the male lion brother of the lioness?
Casper got ghost
Sad….
I agree
@@KrugersWildlifeDiary His brother has since rejoined with the Safari Pride!
It looks to me that these lionesses have not been fighting with other lions to protect their cubs so may they have lost their cubs from other predators or starvation??? for the Sub Adult that was once part of this pride from other Fathers and now has been excepted back into this pride again I feel it maybe the only protection they see even though he is young... For Casper and his Brothers well we all know how Boys will be Boys wanting to spread their GENES it`s the same in the Humans World now isn`t IT??? "TC all be SAFE out there" RA 68 HELL FIRE
Only to return to the first love 😄
Abandoned or is it just Spa Day?
It is okay there are many adult females in the pride, they can raise the cubs theirself!
How many sub adult males are there?
just 1
yes just the one, but he is beautiful 🧡
Too bad they dont do like Red Road and his brothers with the Nkahumas and Kambula prides.
😄😄
That is weird. Usually pride on lionesses is valuable for males, they are hunting and nursing cubs, it makes males life lot easier when someone else is providing the food. Perhaps males left temporaryily and will come back? If they do not come back, some other group of males surely take over the pride.
oh Casper and brothers will return
Single moms have to tough it out.
They do
Hopefully the pride won't encounter nomads. The subadult might not be able to protect the pride like the kings could.
We hope the kings will be back soon
Casper The Back Stabber.
😄
A shame.
The beautiful angels are comforting each other. Without an adult male, they're in a rather precarious situation.
Sure the Casper coalition will be back
They left too early. The cubs are too young.
This is what I don't like. They meet a pride produce cubs then abandon them. Then they oust other males in another territory and could possibly abandon them as well.I wish this beautiful pride the best and I hope these three young ones grow to adulthood.Who is the father of this young male.
I agree
@@KrugersWildlifeDiary And some good news... One of the brothers returned to the pride.
Beautiful family
