- Revolution Race Silence ProShell Jacket Review - AFTER Real Use
I have been using the Silence ProShell Jacket for many months and lots of you have asked about it, having seen the jacket in my wild camping and outdoor videos.
The jacket is well made and as per the name, very quiet when worn and performing outdoor activities. I've used the jacket in some pretty testing conditions, in heavy rain and strong wind and can confirm it is both waterproof and windproof. Breathability is good, but this can be further assisted when working hard, by using the underarm ventilation zippers. The hood is roomy and allows for good freedom of movement. Pockets are generous on the chest, supplemented by additional standard pockets each side. Zippers are high quality 'YKK' and are waterproof. Cuffs have velcro to allow for quick and easy adjustment.
In short, I enjoy using this jacket, although the fit is athletic - even a craft beer drinker like me is comfortable in it and there is still enough room to wear a thin down jacket underneath.
I am pleased to be able to offer an exclusive discount code "MCM15" for 15% off this and any other Revolution Race products - however, the code is ** only valid for 5 days from the video live date 25/10/21 ** and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Code only valid in UK and IE.

Great review Chris - Well done, clear precise information and easy to understand.
Thanks for watching it Terry 👍
Great review Chris as always plenty of detail been looking into their jackets and pants so found this very helpful 👍👍
No worries, hope it helps - ATB !
Beware of their sizing. Regular trousers can be 36 inches long 🙈
Good review Chris. Very well put together 👍
Cheers Benny
Just ordered, thanks for the discount mate😁👍
Enjoy mate!
Another great informative review Chris. Sizeable pit zips them. Good to hear that a jacket with 4 way stretch material remains waterproof, nice one 👍
Cheers Joe - good to give people an insight into some other gear. ATB!
You show off the athletic fit to perfection. Keep smiling
At first, I had a horrible feeling that you could not get down from that kern and were still stood there on the top! I absolutely love the chest pockets, something I always look for in a jacket but sadly rarely find in my price range. The zips look quality as well, an additional bonus. Love the zippers on the zips on the hand pockets, something that is nearly always overlooked but so vital if you are packing a camera, wallet. keys etc. Also loved the ventilation aspect the jacket gave as well, obviously, somebody had given this jacket a lot of thought. Great review of what looks and sounds like a great jacket, cheers Alan
Haha, I was just playing it safe mate. Was quite a windy day so was a bit hard to balance 😅 it's a good jacket mate, worked well for me over the last 3 months and so felt I'd used it enough to give an honest review! They make some decent gear! Thanks for watching pal. ATB
A very nice review of the jacket Chris. 👍😊
Glad you liked it Cath, decent jacket for the £££ which I've been using a few months now! ATB
@@MCMOutdoors you will need a good jacket now winter is on its way👍😊❄️
Love it! Added to Chrimbo wishlist😝

Hiya Chris ...Great content once again....I'm wondering have you any thoughts on some good solid winter boots for long treks...I am pondering on some scarpa terra gtx but if you have any recommendations...cheers

@@MCMOutdoors Aye, it was mint Chris 🙂👍
Nice review Chris atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Not a bad bit of kit mate. Thanks for watching 👍
Beware of rvrc sizing oddities. Just bought one of these in XL, same as my Cyclone jacket and this is 2 inches smaller, armpit to armpit.
Chris Doing the Catwalk😮
Including the North East (where I live) Homage to The Angel Of The North Stance😎
What’s Not To Like😮
I even Like the Jacket so this is a
Win Win Win for me🙏🥾⛺️
Thanks Neil
Pure gear porn Chris, I got a wee bit excited when you started unzipping those chest pockets lol. By pure coincidence, I was looking at a pair of revolution race cyclone rescue trousers yesterday, a brand I wasn't familiar with until I subscribed to you channel a while back, so your 15% discount code is very timely and much appreciated. Keep the reviews coming, your slowly bankrupting me 🤣
I've only tried two of their things mate, but the items I've seen are functional and good value mate! Haha, yep - get on that discount whilst you can!
What size are you wearing? Husband is on the chunky side of medium so thinking large but worried arms may be too long...
This is a large and fits well
I have the cyclone by RR, another decent product👍🏼
They look good mate. I like the look of their GP Pro trousers too - a lot better value than some other brands out there. At the end of the day, if these little review vids help people make informed choices either way (and get them some cheeky discount), then all good. ATB pal
What is better this coat or the cyclone?
Would you still recomend this today? Im after a good waterproof jacket for my mrs that isnt too expensive.
Yes mate - a nice jacket that works! 👍
What's this jacket like for rolling/stuffing into a rucksack? Is it lightweight enough?
Packs down like my others mate, it's fine.
@@MCMOutdoors Cheers Chris 🙂👍
I believe I can fly!!!!
It's R Chris not R Kelly 🤣
👍
Used the pants & the waterproofing failed almost right away. The pants left me close to getting hypothermic in the rain. Dont make the mistake i did and buy budget gear, spend the little bit extra for quality. It might just save your life.
Hi, the jacket has never failed. Sounds like yours were faulty - as that shouldn't have happened. My jacket is years old and still waterproof. Hope you sent them back for a replacement.
