Useful Latok range guide & run-through.
Having owned an older version of the Latok(Red colour), be grateful if you’d be kind enough to elaborate further about the cut & length of Rab’s 2023: Alpine, Extreme & Mountain versions? Particularly compared to previous iterations of the Latok? My burly Rugby player physique hasn’t been the easiest to find a satisfactory fit in modern hardshells.
    Best regards.

Good review, I've been looking at these jackets online today, this video makes my choices a lot clearer, thanks.

Hi! I would like to know if these jackets could fairly fit over the infinity alpine down jacket; maybe this down jacket could already work as a stand-alone outer but just in case of consistent rain I wanted to know if they could layer together one upon the other.
    thanks and great review.

Hi, yes I think it would. They are quite large for the size, however under a shell a more breathable layer like the xenair may perform better is working hard Obviously it is best if you can try it on first. Let us know if we can help more 😊

Great review. Can you advise if the Latok Alpine would also be OK for carrying a heavy rucksack, or is purely for alpine climbing? Latok Mountain would be best for me but not available from my store in Tasmania. Thanks

The latok alpine is still a very tough jacket and works fine carrying a rucksack. Obviously the other latoks are more durable but also come with a weight penalty. Hope this helps.

They need to offer more colours!

Get red, if you're isolated and in need of help red will be seen by your rescuers long before the other colours.

Good review, but when you say these jackets have the "climber cut", when you are trying to rise your arms, it seems the body of the jacket is rising too. Not really sure about this "climber cut" design is effective.

How does the weight of them compare to each other? For some reason I can't find RAB posting their weights on the website.

Any reason why Outside doesn't stock Sheffield-made Buffalo clothing?

As it happens we recently added some Buffalo gear to our range :) Check it out here: www.outside.co.uk/brands/a-d/buffalo.html
