    Everyone that delivers seabox containers leave the back corners off the bed. It's within legal length from the taillights. When you go to drop them, you only have to tilt down, the corners hit the ground, & you can drive out. Another trick is if you need to steer the front of the box, you can loosen the winch & slid the hook to the right or left on the chain & start pulling again. the container will turn because the cable naturally wants to be in the center of the trailer.

      Yea, ive started doing that, especially on short trips in town!

    You should run quick connect jumpers underneath your truck to the rear of the flatbed so you won’t have to worry about dead batteries in a pinch. Comes in really handy!

      Ye, I just need to take the time to do that, because it sucks when I'm in a hurry

    I built a shipping container office years ago. Used foam and stucco inside, Did not install any windows except on the ends, replaced the doors with a steel section cut from a damaged container and windows on both ends. . Great job moving that container, the tilt trailer is like a flat bed tow truck. Much easier than using jacks and an equipment trailer.

    Those winches really like to be hooked up to a running engine with alternator power and dish soap on the trailer floor under the container corners will help a heavy loaded container slide up the deck easier. I once loaded full of tools 40' hc container 30k of weight on a 40' maxxd tdx 30k gvrw trailer she was a bit over loaded haha but old maxxed come thru. I had a shity 12k harbor freight winch with pully block it was working to its limits

      Yea, I didn't wire this one, it's not even connected to the trailer plug, so it literally just drains a battery. Really need to redo it, but I am considering a larger trailer to haul multiple pieces of equipment at once!

      @@rollingops I figured a 40' gooseneck would be nice to have but I don't miss it. It was a pain to maneuver coupled to a crew cab dmax thats 23' long. Your std cab dually is the way to tow and maneuver in tighter spaces but I'd do maybe 32' or 35' deck trailer just enough to hual a 40' container. There is a dot code the states you need all four container corners touching the trailer if it has any cargo inside. And I believe the maximum overhang off the back of a trailer verys from 6'-10' state by state something to consider if you are looking to hual containers

      @@smffab2868 I always forget about the varied overhang! You're right, I should get the minimum length for a 40 ft. Best of both worlds! Good things to consider, appreciate it!

    Isn't there a solar panel setup you can mount on top of gooseneck part to keep batteries charged?

    I have 20ft containers i would like to move with my stardard drivers liscene with my 1 ton chevy silverado. Staying under 26,000 lbs.
    What is the trailer manufacture you are using?

    • @rollingops
      @rollingops  5 месяцев назад

      Maxxd and load trail. Depending on the 1 ton. You could probably use a 14k trailer and be under 26k
