Batman TV Goofs Compilation

- All three seasons of Batman goofs that I found are presented in this 1966 Batman TV series goofs compilation that features the stars Adam West, Burt Ward as Robin, Cesar Romero as the Joker, Julie Newmar as Catwoman, Burgess Meredith as the Penguin, Frank Gorshin as the Riddler, and many more classic TV actors.
These sometimes silly mistakes show how some goofs the actors made stayed in the final cut along with obviously fake props and other unusual anomalies.
Revisit the Batcave, ride in the Batmobile through Mayberry where the Andy Griffith Show was filmed, and see Batman miss super villains with a Bat punch, and then Batgirl shows up and things really go silly with surfing fun and trip to London. Also, was Batman in love with Batgirl?

I still love the way Caesar Romero refused to shave his mustache and just covered it up with makeup. I always thought it was just part of
The Joker's weirdness.
You know it was the goofs about the show that just made it so good
The whole thing was a parody of Batman. Stupid show. Mad Magazine's Gnat Man and The Boy Rotten was at least funny.
I totally agree. Reminiscent of yesterday. Part of my life when I had fewer responsibilities.

Kudos to all the classic actors who played the villains, as well as the guest actors doing cameos, ,they made the show great.
Another goof was when Batman and Robin were climbing up the wall. Strings were used to keep the capes tight to add to the illusion. Robin's string broke and his cape fell.
Everyone thought the green hornet was a villian. It was his cover to let people believe that
huge fan of this 60s tv show batman
As a kid this show was so serious to me, and that's why I grew up obeying all the laws as I do, but when someone points out certain things from this show they are really very funny.
Batman goofs are always fun to find. Thanks for the video man, keep up the great work!
Thanks!
You've done a superb Job. Holy nofoolin you man
This was an absolutely awesome documentary of bloopers. Thank you for all your diligent work it took took to bring this to our attention! 👏 👏 👏
Thanks
These reviews of major 50s/60s/70s tv shows are great. It must be a joy to make them. It's a joy to watch them!
It's definitely fun to work on them.
On the old tvs probably could not see any of these goofs
22:25 “… And a microphone pops into view at the bottom of the screen.“ That wasn’t actually the bottom I was looking at. 😉
They were all awesome 🤩
16:40 yes Burt Ward had his arm injured... and in the next episode (Shame) we can see the scars on it
One reason both Batman and Green Hornet mentioned the opposing shows was that there were 1940's versions of both Batman and of Green Hornet. Although, I do think they meant the 1960-s versions. Most likely to advertise for each other!
The thing that used to aggravate me the most was the stunt doubles, it was easy enough to hide Adam West and his stunt double but Burt Ward was absolutely gorgeous and there was no way to hide him from his stunt double
Take a look at the episode where the Penguin has sandbags hit both Batman and Robin. You’ll clearly notice that Adam West goofs at playing being knocked out.
Batman first appeared in a Detective comic book in 1939. Green Hornet originated in 1936.
There was a Batman-Superman team up, with Robin, on radio in The Adventures of Superman in 1945. The series was titled, "Batman's Greatest Mystery." You can hear portions of it on Radio Classics on Sirius XM.
If you have Sirius XM and can listen to the podcasts, there is currently a Superman/Batman/Robin team up from 1947 that is a three hour storyline. Just started it and Robin is arrested for being the Monkey Burgler.
Mandrake the Magician and Lothar teamed up in serial movie in 1939. Mandrake had magic powers and Lothar powers of super strength, superspeed and invulnerable to fire, lightning, magic bolts and weapons of man.
One other HILARIOUS goof that I was waiting to see in "While The Rat's Away..." is when Batman saves Robin from the turbine and pulls his undies out with the belt!! Cracks me up!! Thanks for the fun vid!
One amazing story from the show is when green hornet crossed over. Robin was supposed to win a fight against Kato and Burt thought it was dumb. Bruce acted like he was mad at Burt the whole time leading up to filming. Once filming was done he acted really friendly
In the Foggiest Notion episode, the man with the girl in the pink dress is wearing a short-sleeve shirt when he is leaving the park bench. When he comes out of the bar, he is wearing a T-shirt.
You forgot about the fight scene when batman and robin fight the goons in the flying saucer. You can see on of the stunt men waiting his turn to tumble out as if He was being toss out.
Loved all the villains, but Frank Gorshin as the Riddler was such a total nut with his laugh.
The BATMAN/STAR TREK crossovers are very numerous not only did many actors appear in both but sets and locations were also crossovers too
Kinda fun to see the bloopers from the show, something I had no idea as a 12-year old watching it. Nowadays, an episode for a TV show costs as much as Batman's entire budget for a season. Probably the whole three year run. Cheers....
In the 1960s, TV sets weren't as hi-res as today, so things like wires and Cesar Romero's moustache weren't that easily noticable; especially on black- and- white sets.
With Robin at school Burt/Dick has to wear a long sleeve sweatshirt to keep his Robin biceps from showing off. He and Adam kept in shape, so when we saw a fat Batman, that was an even bigger tell that a stuntman was in the scene.
Burt Ward at the time of this TV show was absolutely gorgeous and his stunt man looked nothing like him they did not match up at all
Thanks for your video post! Also besides the white string pulling the stretcher...at 7:18, there's a yellow warning sign post that Bruce goes under BUT when he saves himself from going over the cliff, where in the heck did a yellow round pole come out from?!? 😯
Great video. I'm a huge fan of this show, and own it on DVD. I've seen all of these bloopers before,
but it's funny that other fans pick out the same goofs!
Batman's double was Hubie Kerns and Robins was the legendary Victor Paul. Victor was also the stunt gaffer for the show.
3:03 I guess it's less obvious that Adam West's stunt double is running with Burt's.
You all miss the biggest group of them all lol look at the back poles in the library and look at bat pools in the Batcave. They are always opposite of each other lol.
@2:55, Running is very dangerous for a number of reasons, if you take a third look Batman is also a double. @16:23, 'Copters Command Pilot sit in the Right Seat.
Great Video. But you Missed one
On a King Tuts. Episode when Robin puts away the Bat Shield looks like the camera Shot was wide and you can see Robin pretend to Put away the Bat Shield in his Utility Belt Lol.
The scene of them running shows Batman's stunt double too. They probably were contracted to get a certain amount of screen time.
3rd season all the sets were black backdrop. 1st season Mad Hatter episode, how did the cops know the kidnapped victims' hats were taken first? I've no problem with it. It adds to the humor. Batman is my all-time favorite show.
I found a blooper in your bloopers. At 2:30 Batman puts on earplugs over where human ears are as he does at 16:20 wearing headphones in the helicopter. But at 16:33 he is wearing headphones over the cowl's bat ears.
You have some great content. Just found your channel an hour ago and subscribe
Awesome, thank you!
It's the goofs that made these programs awesome another top video bud 😀
Thanks 😀
At 2:56 when they are running around the building the stairwell in the background was used in Star Trek TOS in the episodes "Errand of Mercy and The Menagerie".
Great compilation classic tv show
thanks
HUGE ADAM WEST FAN...WE HAVE THE SAME NAME.....BILL ANDERSON....HE CHANGED HIS NAME AS A STRUGGLING ACTOR IN THE EARLY 1960S IN CALIFORNIA WEST WAS THE NAME HE CHOOSE ! FOR THE WEST COAST
Good job
I remember seeing this one goof, Batman accidentally gropped Batgirl's left breast. I am not joking.
18:50 The Zanti Misfits looked more real!😮 🤓😎✌🏼
Yeah, that's true. 😀
I have a Batmobile car, made by Corgi. It has a mini blade that "chops" as it swings out in the front when a button is pushed, and it used to shoot plastic rockets from the 3 tubes in the back. When you pushed the car, a little orange "flame" would move in and out of a hole in the rear. It has a hitch for a Batboat trailer, but I lost the trailer.
Green Hornet, in Batman's world, and Batman in Green Hornet's universe are both real, THEY were obviously the first REALITY SHOWS. Just like "Billy the Exterminator" might meet "Duck Dynasty"!!!! Or maybe more simply just "COPS". What'cha gonna do when the Joker comes for you? And Batman gives GREAT FILE!!!! and Batgirl knows it. You could say, "Batman de-filed her!!!!" insert Riddler laugh here.
I'm sooo glad I subscribed to your channel. You always have some fun and entertaining videos!!
Thank you very much!
I think some of these goofs are fun to watch. Some of them( like the Batmobile leaving the Batcave) might not be considered a goof, for the simple fact that when the Batmobile stops, they are simply trying to use what available space they had. I also think that other goofs may have been intentional (like the henchmen being ejected from the Batmobile) in adding to the campiness of program, that was always so obvious in the series & added to the blatant comedy & satire! BTW..This is a great compilation! Keep posting! They're fun!
Thanks 😀
Another excellent compilation! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you, @@tvcrazyman! I most certainly did!
3:00 I'll bet they just needed a running scene for this "goof" because I don't think that's Adam West in this shot either. Both stuntmen effectively working as body doubles.
In case you missed any of the previous Batman TV goofs I put together a compilation of all three seasons. 😀
Thank you very much! I'm watching them right now!
2 Episodes Joker goes to school and Catwoman goes to college. What would have happened if they were in the same class?😂😂😂😂😂
"There must be some kind of way out of here." Said the joker to the thief!
Very fun to watch!
Thank you very much.
You missed pointing out on whatever the second last episode of s3 was called?
Whats-her-name breaks Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Egghead and Tut out of prison. It's obvious none of the villians are actually the actors... more likely the stunt doubles?
Dr. Cassandra
The Batman series of the 60s was a bit strange but very comical and fun! 😁😃👍
I know it for its actors, its humor, and above all for the famous Batman dance. ☝️🙂☝️
Nice compilation! 😄👏
Thanks. Definitely have to love the Bat dance and the Batmobile, of course. That was one of my favorite aspects of the show. 😀
@@tvcrazyman Oh yeah. The Batmobile is an iconic vehicle of the series and the character. 😎
I read somewhere that scoring a guest starring role or a cameo on the show was a “thing” in Hollywood at the time, especially the wall-climbing bit. My favorite was when Lurch (Ted Cassidy) from the Addams Family opened the window.
@@Primus54 wow!
Ive noticed robins stunt man alot thru the series...that guy had a big shnozzola👃
21:25 the Matrix is here.
uhm, not to be nitpicky but is that guy saying 'Continuity' wrong? or is that how they say it in the South? Like when Britains say 'Alu-Minium'
at 18: 54 you missed the REAL FLY on Robin's leg. Also: you missed every moment that Burt Ward had "that" problem though not technically a blooper?
5:36 Long raincoats but legs not covered so wouldn't call it winter clothing.
Women used to wear nylons year round before pants became popular.
13:18 green acres and Beverly hillbillies, gomer pyle , do the same thing.
16:07 Batman is the World's greatest detective? What does Columbo think about that???😮 Too EARLY?🤷🏼♂️. 🤓😎✌🏼
I think the biggest difference between Columbo and Batman is that Batman had the cool car. 😀
On this bloopers scene ,We're you show the bomb exploding in the air ( as in Get Smart) ,I notice Robin taking s swing & hit at Batman ...Hmmm Check it out and get back to me ...
I clearly remember this happening, but have never seen it referred to: On one episode, I remember Batman taking Commissioner Gordon to the Batcave and pouring alphabet soup (maybe) from a Bat-thermos into a computer (as we all do). My little 9 year old brain went into fits of laughter when I noticed that while doing dialogue with the Commissioner, Batman was trying to hook the thermos back onto his belt, but couldn't get it to hook, so he sort of casually palms the thermos and hides it behind his back. I howled when I saw that. Anyone else catch this? Also, I would love to know the episode. Wouldn't be with Roddy McDowell's "Bookworm", would it?
I'm going to have to look and see if I can find that one.
Frank Gorshin will always be The Riddler, not John Astin.
I would have loved to see A 'Batgirl' spinoff show.
I was 6 years old when I first saw this show. Young kids aren't going to notice the little editing gaffs that were left in the show. It's a Kid's show for crying out loud. Don't waste time picking it apart just to show off. We don't care!
Much as I do like this show, Batman: The Animated Series, JLU is much better as for the fight scenes, dialogue, storylines, and in some ways, The Green Hornet series is better too. There should have been a cartoon series about The Green Hornet, too.
The sweet female at 21:15
And where does the horizontal pole come from? Don't see it here... 7:23
The next second, there it is.
Then... at 7:25... There appears to be a grey strap of some sort over his white mouth gag, (looks like a seat belt with no buckle), it then promptly disappears. Slow it down & you can see it slip off.
Were you an I Dream of Jeannie fan? Would love to see goofs for that show.
I love that show. I have the whole series on DVD. I'll probably do one for that show at some point.
@@tvcrazyman Cool, looking forward to it.
Not to be pervy, but in the overtly sexual scene where Batman is thrusting his file back and forth to free Batgirl (query how many hours he would have had to work on cutting iron links with a file?) if you watch in DVD poor Batgirl's "sprayed on suit" reveals everything... and not to be indelicate -- if you watch it in high def it must have gotten very cold in the dungeon at the very moment Batman pulled out his file or Yvonne REALLY liked it haha... its a stickup
Yvonne Craig was so pretty!
It's confusing batman robin green hornet cato
Why would they leave the Bat Cave, then suddenly stop?
You mean in real life? The inside of the cave was just in a closed set, or you mean as far as the show's story goes?
@@tvcrazyman As far as the show's story goes.
@@kevinmiller6380 waiting for a school bus to cross
At 8:59, did Robin hit Batman???
Could have been fake Batman or fake Robin
@@tvcrazyman makes sense, congratulation for your great work
For s channel that criticizes TV shows for reusing footage, you do it to.
Wanna talk goof? The batman movies and tv shows they make today are so bad they have to make them in bulk same with superman
This is Dumb 👎
Great video!! This is what RUclips is all about ❤🦇
I appreciate it!
