I worked as a full-time professional magician for 20 years. Occasionally, someone would ask when I was going to get a real job. I would politely ask them to please call the IRS and tell them to stop taxing me as if I had a real job.
Whenever I read "Microevolution happens but Macroevolution doesnt." My brain translates it into: "You're going to have to explain basic biology to me and I probably won't listen while you do." I came into my first creationist debate thinking ignorance was the only problem and explaining this subject would lead to someone gaining and understanding, admitting they had misunderstood and moved on to investigate further. Boy was I wrong.
@@ericvulgate It's truly infuriating. I follow a couple of debate groups where I see the same creationists repeating the same bad arguments and having multiple people give the same explanation correcting their ignorance every time they do it. You would think they would at least try to argue effectively, but no.
Macro evolution is micro evolution stacking up over time. I just don’t get why that’s so hard for creationists to understand. It’s like one brick is just a brick, but combined with a lot of other bricks it makes a wall.

@Joe Andersen Why we know Christianity is WRONG! 1. Anonymity and lack of authenticity of the Gospels. The Gospels are late (40 or so years after the alleged events) , thereby giving it more than enough time for legendary embellishments to creep into the narratives. 2. Lack of proper historical and archeological evidence for some of the major events in the Bible ( Noah's Flood, Exodus, Joshua's Conquest of Canaan, Sodom and Gomorroh etc). 3. The evidence for the historicity of Moses and other prophets is insurmountably weak. 4. The authenticity of the extrabiblical sources often cited in support of the historicity of Jesus (Josephus, Tacitus and Suetoneus) is quite questionable. They may just be later Christian interpolations or blatant forgeries. 5. Evil and malevolent nature of God all throughout the Old Testament. God is an awfully poor judge. 6. Contradictions in the Bible (especially in the passion narrative and resurrection accounts of the New Testament) 7. The earliest manuscripts of Mark doesn't have the post resurrection and appearances. 8. Bad design (In our own bodies and in the universe itself.) 9. Evolution, fossil record, age of the earth etc. (Utterly shatters all forms of creationism-based worldviews including YEC 10. Historical and scientific errors in the Bible. (Promotes a geocentric view of the solar system and refers to the earth as a flat disc}

It’s no surprise that people who waste their lives with falsehoods, would waste hours trolling. Aron, your work is extremely valuable! Thank you for all your hard work.
They're on a mission from God and think that life is just a waiting room for eternity, that nothing in that life matters except God, so wasting them on preaching for him is pretty much a given.
The evangelist is not wasting his time. The evangelist knows that eternal life begins now and Jesus is coming back to be King in Jerusalem where they crucified Him! The evangelist wants as many as possible to participate. We’re like people living in a 2 dimensional world but hearing there are more dimensions. @@kenjohnson5124 The evangelist is afraid he bought into a scam, which he did, so he doubles down on it and tries to get as many people as he can to buy into it too, because its better to be wrong in a herd who are all equally doubling down than stand out as wrong on his own and face his own failing.

Aron is 100% correct about TRADITIONAL religion. But... >"Critical thinker" >Accepts feels-based, evidence-free "gender", over evidence-based sex... Pick one. They can't BOTH be true "Gender" is just "the soul", with a new name, and different political garb. - The claim that each person has an invisible, totally undetectable thing inside us, which is the source of our TRUE self, our REAL identity. In BOTH re-titles, this thing has a 100% absence of ANY empirical evidence... Yet believers claim it (somehow?!?) reveals an even GREATER TRUTH than mere, trivial, evidence-based reality. And in BOTH cases, this evidence-free claim is accepted SOLELY on the basis of "but.. but it FEEELS true, to me!!!" (of course, "gender" does add one EXTRA evidence-free trait, on top if all the OTHER evidence-free traits it shares with "the soul"; Gender just adds "...and your soul/gender can ALSO have it's own male/female status, totally independent of your real-world, evidence-based sex... Or, if you're REALLY gullible/a devout believer, people's soul/"gender" can even be BOTH male AND female, or NEITHER male or female. Or switch from male to female, everytime Libra is ascending on a Tuesday... There is EXACTLY the same empirical evidence for "gender", or "non-binary", or "transwomen ARE women", as there is for "chakras", "chi energy", "sin", "ghosts", "bigfoot", or "the magic of friendship". These concepts ALL share 100% IDENTICAL evidence-based validity... And EXACTLY like every other religion, believers in "gender" know that THEY are ALWAYS morally superior (pay no attention to the irreversable chemical mutilation of unconsenting, healthy 9yo's... Or the cheerleading for biological males, who totes AREN'T incels, and who demand lesbians to "suck the girldlck"; Which isn't textbook homophobia AT ALL... Or the siding with convicted rapists, fully-intact males seeking access to captive women in women's prisons... or 1,000 other attrocities...) And that anyone rejecting their evidence-free claims, CAN ONLY be inherently evil, and a tool of Satan!!! (or "a hateful, transphobic, right-wing, bigoted nahtzee!!!"- The "gender"-believer's version of "You just hate god, and want to sin!!!!") Aron ADMITS he knows nothing about the topic that he's endorsing in (self-admitted) ignorance. So he's just done what 90% of society did- Switched their brain off, and uncritically accepted this evidence-free ideology, 100% clueless of the resulting harm to society's most vulnerable- Children, (esp gay and lesbian kids, and those with autism and similar mental health issues. Or just kids who don't conform to sexual stereotypes- Children "gender" ideology actively targets, for 100% unneccessary, irreversable medical interventions, mostly harmful chemicals like puberty-blockers (Google "Lupron side effects", if you swallowed the provable lie of "harmless and reversable puberty-blockers". Spoiler- They're literally the drugs used to chemically-castrate sex offenders, and notorious for OTHER severe, irreversable side effect, too) and life-shortening wrong-sex hormones. But increasingly, surgical mutililation, too; Totally unnecessary double mastectomies of 100% physiologically healthy 14yo's are routine. And DO happen as young as 12yo). Harm to gays and lesbians (coz being same-sex attracted is DEFINITIONALLY "transphobic", now. Being gay/lesbian is virtually the same as being a naazi!!!) And women/girls. Because the rights/privacy/physical safety of the (evidence-based) female 50% of the population will ALWAYS be sacrifced for the all-important "VALIDATION"-feels of 0.2% of biological males... Aron once said that "believing ANY claim without evidence is inherently harmful"... And I 100% agree... I just wish he PRACTICED WHAT HE PREACHES, in regards to the evidnce-free claim of "gender" self-ID, which (like ANY religion) is proven absurd and self-contradictary, with 5 minutes of honest, critical enquiry...

The whole "you don't have a real job" thing is the one of the most shallow and petty insults from insecurity that can be used. It's a self-insult for anyone who uses it more than it is for the one they regurgitate it onto.
As I see it, the creationists don't define ANY of the terms they attack us with: Kinds of organisms, micro & Macro evolution, et al. That "allows" them to use the words differently depending on what they want to assert at that moment.
Greatest downside of the internet is the inability to get the punch in the face that the trolls so greatly deserve. It's a shield for the cowardly to hide behind.
I try not to derive too much pleasure when I ask a straightforward question of a troll. Instead, I empathise with its fear as it feels that body temperature fluid running down its leg. Knowing I have given their mother a cleaning job and diaper change troubles me a little.
But you've got to remember that real life punches them in the face every day. They're miserable human beings with nothing to look forward to and nobody to share it with. And that goes for all of them; there are no exceptions. The ones who protest and say "Hey, I have a life!" are lying.

The problem with these people is they are not open to the possibility they could be wrong. Ken Ham is a classic example. Which means they cannot be reasoned with no matter how much evidence or proof is given to them.
The problem with Ken Ham and Bill Nye debating is that they are often talking past each other with Ham stuck in a young earth view of theism and Nye thinking atheism has meaning!

Whenever I read "Microevolution happens but Macroevolution doesnt." My brain translates it into: "You're going to have to explain basic biology to me and I probably won't listen while you do."

@Joe Andersen Why we know Christianity is WRONG!
1. Anonymity and lack of authenticity of the Gospels. The Gospels are late (40 or so years after the alleged events) , thereby giving it more than enough time for legendary embellishments to creep into the narratives.
2. Lack of proper historical and archeological evidence for some of the major events in the Bible ( Noah's Flood, Exodus, Joshua's Conquest of Canaan, Sodom and Gomorroh etc).
3. The evidence for the historicity of Moses and other prophets is insurmountably weak.
4. The authenticity of the extrabiblical sources often cited in support of the historicity of Jesus (Josephus, Tacitus and Suetoneus) is quite questionable. They may just be later Christian interpolations or blatant forgeries.
5. Evil and malevolent nature of God all throughout the Old Testament. God is an awfully poor judge.
6. Contradictions in the Bible (especially in the passion narrative and resurrection accounts of the New Testament)
7. The earliest manuscripts of Mark doesn't have the post resurrection and appearances.
8. Bad design (In our own bodies and in the universe itself.)
9. Evolution, fossil record, age of the earth etc. (Utterly shatters all forms of creationism-based worldviews including YEC
10. Historical and scientific errors in the Bible. (Promotes a geocentric view of the solar system and refers to the earth as a flat disc}

I totally dig your integrity. Thank you for being a voice for us critical thinkers out there.
Aron is 100% correct about TRADITIONAL religion. But...
>"Critical thinker"
>Accepts feels-based, evidence-free "gender", over evidence-based sex...
Pick one. They can't BOTH be true
"Gender" is just "the soul", with a new name, and different political garb.
And in BOTH cases, this evidence-free claim is accepted SOLELY on the basis of "but.. but it FEEELS true, to me!!!"
(of course, "gender" does add one EXTRA evidence-free trait, on top if all the OTHER evidence-free traits it shares with "the soul"; Gender just adds "...and your soul/gender can ALSO have it's own male/female status, totally independent of your real-world, evidence-based sex...
(or "a hateful, transphobic, right-wing, bigoted nahtzee!!!"- The "gender"-believer's version of "You just hate god, and want to sin!!!!")
Aron ADMITS he knows nothing about the topic that he's endorsing in (self-admitted) ignorance.

@AronRa this is just a joke, but I am sure you will get a kick out of it. Because I can directly see your beard is blue, you must be a demi God. Are you sure your not a reincarnation of Krishna. Lol 🤣
If creationists couldn't lie, they wouldn't have anything to say at all.
Bravo! Remember getting into some philosophical argument with a cousin on our family whatsapp group. Eventually rest of the clan joined in and there was a furiously-typed back and forth happening and msgs were raining down as everyone had an opinion. I forgot what started the argument but the ending was very jarring - just about everyone sincerely believed that Morality COULD NOT exist outside of religion. I was plainly stunned - as i am the only openly atheist in the group. A couple of distant cousins are (closet) agnostics chose diplomatic silence as they have rather devout spouses. I do not have the intellectual heft nor the debating acumen to argue with religious people. So your videos are very helpful. Keep it up sir and thank you.
You're a good man, Aron, and I support you 100% in trying to educate others to question all the questions.
Love the moral argument, funny thing about that they never blame their pastor for being a child predator they always use the devil that made him do it excuse.
Those trolls are exactly like the Black Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grale 🤣🤣
Or Wimp Lo from Kung Pow,if you've watched it. It's funny as hell.
The whole "you don't have a real job" thing is the one of the most shallow and petty insults from insecurity that can be used. It's a self-insult for anyone who uses it more than it is for the one they regurgitate it onto.
Our good buddy Aron telling it like it is. 👍
As I see it, the creationists don't define ANY of the terms they attack us with: Kinds of organisms, micro & Macro evolution, et al. That "allows" them to use the words differently depending on what they want to assert at that moment.
excellent video Mr. Ra! I thoroughly enjoyed this
Greatest downside of the internet is the inability to get the punch in the face that the trolls so greatly deserve.
I do trolling. When people are so angry with me that they want to punch me. I won. Yup that is how I get me jollies.
@@VaughanMcCue
And may i know who are the trolls???
@@xPumaFangx By your reasoning, all the killed mosquitos and flies "won".
But you've got to remember that real life punches them in the face every day. They have no job, they have no partner, they have no real friends, they stink of B.O., they don't do anything of value for anyone and only their families can stand to be around them for more than a minute. They're miserable human beings with nothing to look forward to and nobody to share it with. And that goes for all of them; there are no exceptions. The ones who protest and say "Hey, I have a life!" are lying.
I’m a proud Patron of Aron. His work is very important. He helps so many people who don’t have the time or resources to learn about evolution at a college or university. He exposes the evils of religion in politics. He explains precisely why religion is harmful, and that if we want to advance the human race into the future religion has to die off. Learn to have an open mind and you might just start to appreciate the work Aron does.
Evils of religion!?! What’s that? Evil according to whom? If God doesn’t exist, then there is no evil! Mankind must attain what? Progress towards what? There are three choices: Atheism, Theism, and Pantheism! What you’re saying sounds like Pantheism as Atheism has no moral good to aim at. At least pantheism we’re trying to be God-like.
@@kenjohnson5124 I’m against slavery because it's evil...... Your BuyBull says it's ok.
You have a morality problem, not us.
*I can't help it if my moral standards are just higher than yours*
@@kenjohnson5124 atheists are infinitely more moral than any bible believing christian
I'm an atheist and I have horrendous writing skills lol. But now I know why quite a few of my comments have been bypassed lol. I don't blame you one bit! But I do appreciate the people who have pointed out my issues, cause i've taken them seriously and I simply want to try and make the corrections necessary lol. Anyway, even if I'm critiqued for my poor punctuation. Just remember I'm grateful for them all. Aron Ra, thanks again for all that you do.
A wise decision indeed. Finding ways to be wrong creates an opportunity to learn.
Stay wrong or learn or stay willfully ignorant and qualify as an apologist.
BTW. Your comment is very clear, and you made your point well. There is nothing wrong with your written expression.
I am sure your name came up on the Pulitzer shortlist-keep at it. 🏆
@@VaughanMcCue Smh! Awe shucks ☺. Thanks for the reply.
Great vid Aron. We all know these same questions have been asked and answered many times. Great job on answering them again, I especially enjoyed that you included detailed information on Abiogenesis. As for the question of transitional fossils, I've always been of the opinion that, all fossils are transitions because the processes of evolution are continuous and ongoing.
The truth cannot be the real truth if it is easily criticized.
But yet Christian’s and religion thrive on lies and have zero problems continuing their lies in daily life while shoving their lies down our throats. It’s disgusting. I had an ex from 30 years ago say that I need to seek the truth, which is what I did. Yet she continued with her religious lies and how she’d like to see me in heaven. I said I’d rather be in hell than be in heaven with a bunch of assholes that I’m around now and can’t stand. She didn’t like that. But the lies they believe in…….
@@Ex_christian Even to the point of killing and dying for these lies. It's absolutely appalling.
@@christophercarey3232 Exactly!
@@Ex_christian such types value the *appearance of* confidence in their leaders over any [more] admirable qualities that are of any substance. From a survival standpoint, following such a hollow leader might work short-term, at least until the group they lead either finds them out and replaces them, loses cohesion, or annihilates itself after mimicking something stupid/dangerous.
Everyone I've come across who asks questions like #5, coincidentally also turns out to be a diehard creationist. The Venn diagram of transphobes and creationists is practically a circle.
Love the way he pivots to arguing about transgender for some reason. Doesn't he know Gish Galloping only works in live debate? Writing it down defeats the purpose.
Trolly clearly isn't too bright, so I doubt he grasps such a simple concept.
Morality question rephrased: "If my god isn't real.... how can chocolate be your favorite ice cream, huh? You have no -objective- (my own subjective) standard!"
I just found out about you this morning, but i just wanted to say your respect towards others even when they disrespect you is jaw dropping. Thank you for leading by example, because if things had gone ever so slightly differently in my life, i would have ended up as blind as they are. Thank you
Self-projecting is the best detail of defeat. Once you commit this act, you lose whatever argument, discussion, etc.
As someone who used to be self employed, I know that you need to work 80 hours a week to get 20 billable hours. And you need to charge 3-4 times as much per hour as a full time employee, just to have the same amount of cash income (and that ignores health care costs)
Just got done watching the new video on The Thinking Atheist with Seth, Forest Valkai and Gutsick Gibbon all together in the same place, highly recommend.
This helps me feel better after a talk with a family member who wants me to change when I haven't done anything wrong but to them, I already did do something wrong by not believing what they believe. Every word to them has to have a double meaning and thier cherry picked beliefs always must "challenge" you, very tiring.
What are the odds the troll has an inmate number that I can't remember but am sure Aron still has memorized? Great video, thanks Aron
If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, you're not Aron Ra...
There is a huge Increase in RW trolls on all the Bloggs…they are not looking for answers…they are bomb droppers.
Your series on Noah's flood is what sparked the beginning of my deconstruction, and your channel played a huge role in freeing me from the shackles of religion. Thanks for everything you do, Aron.
The down side of the doubled-edged sword of intelligence is the torment of having to navigate a world in which many are not so blessed. :-)
Thanks Aron, your videos are always exceptionally well researched and hit hard as ever!
It's as if these " believers " are having doubts .
I mean do they really want you to answer ?
The worst part of developing a ground breaking new theory is you will be spending the rest of your life trying to prove it wrong
Yep and chances are your hypothesis will not be truly Vindicated until you're probably already dead.
Beautiful.
I can guarantee he didn't get two minutes past your explanation.. because he didn't want to.
I used to be a troll, too... But it's chilly and damp under those bridges. 😂
POW, Another one out the park...... Great video, very entertaining. Could this be the start of a whole new series??....... Here's hoping. Cheers Aron, much love and appreciation from the U.K.
All I can think of to say is "well stated."
Never feel responsible to have to answer every question. I ignore them when I get lazy.
Lol 😂 I’ve got lots of time but I’m same an essay gets read to the first fallacy intentionally made or the first lie
The maladroits. Great work Aron. Love you.
Thanks for this excellent summary of some core concepts.
Well done.
About massive, uninterrupted walls of text: I doubt anyone reads them. I know I don’t.
The readings of Aron should be mandatory on every elementary school 🙏🏻
Lol what?
I live in Tennessee, I feel bad for them, sometimes. I remember how panicky I felt, thinking that those around me would burn forever, if I didn't do something. I really believed. It was crippling. They have to become callus to live with that kind of pressure. I understand wanting to help them out of that.
This is the reason I don't think most Christians really believe. If they truly believed their children, parents, coworkers, and neighbors were going to burn eternally, they couldn't help trying to convert them. Instead, most of them don't think about it or say they aren't ready. Look, I'm very socially anxious, but even I would damn sure yell at a guy over and over if he were standing in a train track and refusing to acknowledge the oncoming train. They don't because they also can't see the train, they just feel like it might be coming.
@@MrBevoRules that was exactly what started my wheels rolling. Our preacher talking about how it was their fault they were gonna burn and how almost happy he seemed about it. It was emotional whiplash.
Most of them cannot give up their lies because the truth causes cognitive dissonance and some of them are so conditioned the lies are their truth.
Not to mention your work is Making an actual difference with honest people around the world. While unless this unwiped ass will start taking the truths of our reality seriously, this will be the most people his words will ever reach more less help them with their subjective undersanding.
