Tuna *ATTACKED* by Giant Barracuda on NEW Boat!! Catch/Clean/Cook

- This was our first trip to the reef on the new 25' X3 from Shallow Sport! We caught pilchards in the morning and then headed out. We caught some jacks, a big yellowtail snapper, and then Jocelyn hooked her first ever sailfish! After a 45 minute battle we released her first ever sailfish and then headed further offshore. We hooked some nice blackfin tuna and it was a battle between us and the barracuda to see who would get dinner! Turns out we both got dinner and Charlie cooked up a great meal back out the house.

When I lived in Deerfield Beach we used to go scuba diving on the north side of the Boca inlet and there was a old boat wreck down there and there was this Barracuda that lived there they called him Barry this is in the mid 70s he was easily 6 to 8 foot long and I can remember seeing him chomp down on some huge fish like it was nothing you don't want to mess with the Barracuda but this guy he got so used to human intervention down there everybody diving around that wreck hey come right up to you. But yeah those barracudas I used to call them chainsaws of the ocean.👍✌✌💪💖🎅🚌🌻👏

Along time ago maybe around 30 years I used to watch a program with a guy from the keys who was a great fisherman and many times he would have a little kid on board who was always running around trying to do all the jobs on the boat with great exuberance!! I think he was out of the same Marina ,! By a slim chance was that you ?? Alan in Edinburgh Scotland ...

Both are are great IMO , yellowfin probably has a little longer shelf life

Did you sell your new big cat? As a matter of interest after many years of boat fishing, I found that creaming my face at sea, some fussy fish used to pick up the smell of the cream on my bait from my hands hence battled to get bites at first, so I made a habit of creaming my face at home so that I could wash my hands with soap before leaving home.
We still have the 42 Freeman we got last summer. I sold my 37 Freeman a couple months later. We just sold a clients 37 for them this past week as well at the yacht brokerage I work for
