I know it's just "normal stuff" to know where all the fingerings go because of all the hours and hours of practice you and other violinists do, but it's just amazing to watch your fingers fly all over the strings and land perfectly in the right place. Especially when you quickly do those high notes and you have to slide your fingers 6 inches in a fraction of a second and go right back to where they were. All while smiling, and knowing thousands and thousands of notes from memory. Your brain is phenomenal, Karolina. I marvel at your talent.
The 1864 French violin sounds pretty good to me - is it as easy to play as your modern ones? If that's not a silly question !

The violin maker put all his love, anger, and feelings into making the violin with the hopes that the right violinist will be able to draw all that feeling out with his or her playing.
Don't just play the notes. Feel the notes. Express them with the musical magic that only you and the violin maker had in mind. Love your violin and that love will come out in your playing. There are certainly fantastic modern violins. In order to produce good sound, violin itself is only one of the important factors. Others include technique, bow, tuning, strings, and sometimes even shoulder rest.
