Dimash did have a scholarship to study film directing at the LA branch of a New York school but he decided to focus on his music and gave the scholarship to another person. He's been living in LA for the past month or more and I think I heard him say he was working on music for a Jackie Chan movie. He just had a concert in Armenia last Saturday and this Saturday he has one in Turkey. In June he has one in Malaysia. The tour said it will include 20 countries but I'm not sure which ones or when they'll be. Thanks again for doing a Dimash reaction with a friend! Dimash's 29th birthday will be in a couple of weeks. 🇨🇦

Hi, really enjoyed the reaction. A bit of an update, Dimash has decided not to take the film making classes. He is currently doing a world tour and hopefully he will schedule some concerts in the US. He is in Turkey this weekend.

Dimash rejected the scholarship to study in LA because he wants to be focused in his carreer as singer. However, Dimash already has a doctorate in Musicology and he directed a couple of his own MV that’s the reason filming and directing is interesting for him. He is very smart and his background in music started at the age of 5 and I would said earlier. ❤️🎤🌹👏👏👏👏👏
To answer your and your guest's question, he owns a production company and his government has granted him a scholarship to the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles which will last for one year. I don't think he has started yet as he is currently making some tours in Europe. It was a great reaction, gentlemen!

He came to the US but decided not to start the New York Film Academy course, letting another Kazakh student do it instead, and is currently doing concerts in Asia. That said, he hooked up with some US movie soundtrack composers (eg the one who scored Titanic) and is supposedly collaborating with them on some new music. 2. For sharing with friends who already know a thing or two about singing, there's a much better song/video you could share than SOS, which is really more for folk who aren't that knowledgeable about singing. The better song/video is the Olimpico on Igor Krutoy's channel. (Igor composed Olimpico for Dimash.) As with this SOS video, Igor doesn't block use of the Olimpico on his channel. I say Olimpico is better because A) It really showcases Dimash's lower registers, which SOS essentially ignores, as well as his extreme upper range just like SOS, plus B) It's more interesting as an unusual piece genre and arrangement wise, and C) It's a spectacular live concert performance illustrative of both his team and production company's capabilities to put on a great show and his own showmanship. Also you can and should switch on the English captions too, because the lyrics are such an irresistibly powerful and inspiring message.

It was actually last year that he completed the video, so he was 26 when he did the MV. Love that you promote Dimash so much! And tell your friend that he can't judge whether he likes Dimash just by this video because he does covers SOOO many genres, even some that are kind of metal inspired!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥
You should listen to him sing The Show Must Go On, by Queen! And he sings All By Myself. Love is like a Dream is beautiful. He does a lot of fry with his voice in the beginning in that one. Screaming Idol is where he raps in that song. He also sings Hello, by Lionel Ritchie, and of coarse he does it his way. Go to the singer for most of these songs except for Love is Like A Dream and Screaming Idol. Please listen to these songs, they are amazing!

Dimash said recently that he would not go to the film school in New York, and I think that's a good decision. Dimash backed out of film school. 😕 Right now, he's touring and temp-living in L.A. while working on new music. He was introduced to composer/arranger/record producer and music executive, David Foster....so i hope SOMETHING came out of that. (I'm sure it did.)
Actually Dimash turned down the scholarship offered to him and offered it to someone else.... He is currently on tour but he spend the last months in LA working on new stuff
