from what i've been told, the mt-82 despite its rep, is really limited because the factory clutch isn't enough to really handle the abuse so it in turn goes to the gears. obviously still not a t-56 or tr6060
@JMRxYM It’s the clutch, but also the shifter. The shifter is chassis mounted instead of transmission mounted, like most shifters. This makes it so under load the shifter doesn’t torque with the engine, leading to inaccuracy in the shifting, also leading to some premature wear and tear. Apparently there’s some short shifters that fix the issue, and replacing the clutch I’ve read basically fixes everything other than the inaccuracy at full load.
@@JMRxYMjust blew out my second gear a couple weeks ago 😂 dropping my trans this weekend. I will say from all the shit I’ve heard about them it lasted a lot longer than I expected being that I drive the car hard everytime my butt touches the seat and usually do 5-15 dig races a week
@philippebrebion6203 5.2 has some cooling and lubrication issues. The coyote can rev to 8000 with just some bolt ons and a tune. Throw more invasive parts easily surpass what the 5.2 does and be reliable while it does it. Btw gt350 is a dream car of mine but i would never go nuts with it just enjoy it for what it is
*Mt82 has left the chat* jokes aside tho bro knows how to drive 👍

And that’s not even counting the test passes now that I think about it…yea there’s no way i wasn’t going to break something 🤣
That’s what you call rowing the gears. Driver mod ftw 💪
Driver mod fr (I have 2 screws in my wrist)
cleanest shifts ive ever seen
Boss level for sure🇺🇸🏁🏴☠️
This guy is a great driver, but watch some onboard clips of F1 late 80's to early 90's they are downright unbelievable
Faster than a stock 10R80! That's some insane shifting on an MT-82! Driver mod for sure!
People yell at me all the time for no lifting in my stock 2015 5.0 on the stock clutch and stock MT82 lol 😂
remember, it's only bad if it breaks
I had a brand 22 gt for a summer and power shifted twice. It felt so dirty both times, i never did it again
mgw? also what clutch you running? clean shifts brotha
I thought this thing had a Tremec swap lol
Sounds great
Bro shifts like a DCT
cams, cobra jet?
What upgrade was made to make the gear changes so quick?
driver mod
Clean ah shifts
Are you using n2mb wot box ??
No sir
@@Justice116 then how are you no lift shifting? Is this feature supported from the factory on your car ?
Because if not, that hurts the tranny
@@Ybm9000 nope, i just do it. Been doing it for like 3+ years on the same trans
What did you do to make it rev to 8k and anything you recommend upgrading to make sure it holds up? Nice shifting a lot faster than me
Get a ported 2018 or boss302 manifold, intake, and a tune 👍your tuner should have u revving out at about 7600+
@@josueolvera837 Cam, valve springs, ports AND exhaust manifolds + tune = 8,2k rpm you welcome.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeesh😮💨😮💨
0:17 until things actually happen
This nerd complaining about a 27 second video
@badarbiter15 saved you 17 seconds though 🤓
@@RandomlnternetGuy nah I watched the whole thing cause I heard a cam
Mustang owners doing anything but take care of their cars lol, all jokes. That thing hauls ass
Tell me you owned a Honda without telling me you owned a Honda
I’ve owned a few but nothing fast 😂 all stock junk lmao
@@Justice116 Haha, all jokes aside nice shifting man. Theses old hondas surely taugh us how to bang them gears
bro get a god damn gt350 and do the same XDD
What do i need a gt350 for?
@@Justice116 well, NA and rev at 8500 rpm , with how fast you shift that must be somthing to hear haha 350 are the best mustang to me tbh

I’d rather have a high revving coyote they seem more durable
how is this thing revving to 8K!!!!!?
Coyote's can rev even higher.
No chance that's a stock MT82 lmao
Ben Calimer stage 1, so basically stock lol
What upgrade was made to make the gear changes so quick?
The Barton short throw shifter tightens up the shifts a lot for sure
Good!@@Justice116
