Hey Sonduck Film, where can I find the free atmospheric particles pack you mentioned in your video around the 11:00 mark? I couldn't find the link in your video's description, though you advised to viewers to look for it in said description. Thanks and take care. p.s. I really enjoyed your tutorial, it was good exercise to practise what I already know from another foundational course of AE I took. speak soon.
Let me get this straight: For a single effect in a single video, it will cost me $189 to use Volumax. That's like me going to StoryBlocks and downloading a mgrt transition file and having to pay $10 every single time I use it. I just finished a 30-video project for a motorsports testing event. We charge each client separately for their video. So... a single 2-5 second visual effect (a value-added gimmick, really) in each video would cost $189. So to use this software in just this one project would cost me $5670. That's more than we pay the videographer to shoot the whole thing. What a bargain.
This video saved my grade, I'm taking a class on this right now and completely confused. Your video is pretty much a cheat sheet guide to figuring how to create this effect, better than all the other videos I've seen on this topic, thank you so much for making this! Our After Effects Hero!!
Hey Joshua, thanks for the quality tutorial again. You are one of the few creators whom I would click right away when I see a notification of your new video. Now that you have mentioned the puppet tool, would love to hear from you about using the puppet tool. That would absolutely be fantastic. Thank you for the continuous quality content! Cheers!
I am honored to hear that! Thank you for the ongoing support! I love the puppet tool. I usually use it for “cartoon” styled animation. I’ve done a number of tutorials using it in the past year.
the final result looks great, but my suggestion would be to ad a little bit of a lens distortion or blur in the edges so the particles can blend better with the rest of the image, besides that great video!
can I somehow save that and use it as a template everytime when I got a photo - cut it in few sections as foreground, people etc and then apply same effect to all of them ? These seems like alot of work everytime to edit one photo and I want to make whole video using those kind of edits
Excellent work and very informative. I will definitely be following this tutoring. One request. Can you do a tutorial for motion posters (flyers, menu’s etc)?
hi good video. can anybody if would like to go along with only 3D working converting 2D photos into 3D. or doing the work on AE as you are showing us will be specific or it has to with the sequential learning. can we learn specific parts of AE or it has to all in sequence?
When I make the BG layer 3D in after effects, I see the content aware fill image and not the foreground I selected. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for your help and the tutorial!
Searched how to do it in After Effects because i have After Effects, shows me a video saying how to do it in After Effects... but its how to do it in Photoshop and then After Effects.... i dont have Photoshop... thats why ive searched how to do it in After Effects...

If the tech is really that great and exclusive, fine. So why offer the $69 silliness for "personal" use?

Thanks for this great tutorial! One question- once I make the solid layer 3D I disable the option to change blend modes. Anyone knows why?
ok solved - I changed the renderer in composition settings
When I make the BG layer 3D in after effects, I see the content aware fill image and not the foreground I selected. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for your help and the tutorial!
For some reason my top layer (foreground layer) is not showing on top of the BG unless I make it the only layer visible.
3D selfie hehe
Goodnight.
Congratulations.
