Nice video but only Overwatch soldiers have memory wipes. Metro cops are normal people who volunteered for better housing, food and power.
overwatch soldiers had a operation they took out their bones and replaced them with metal ones they also have feeding entrances (the holes) and use feeding pipes to feed them

About the "memories wipe comments" i know metrocops don't get wiped i played all the games,read the book, spent bunch of my time on various half life related forums. This was my take on the combine world, i changed the lore just a little bit for the purpose of the film so i could make the story behind one simple character more dramatic, so i could show that even 1 simple npc can have a great story behind him. Thank you for nice comments everyone and i hope you will like my next saxxy film, that is also set in half life universe ! Thank you !

the combine soldiers tactics are
flank
take cover when injured or reloading and throw grenades at enemy behind cover(unless one or more friendly is engaging)
providing cover fire for the team
and the metro cops tactics are
stand and shoot
or if have flashy stick
BEAT ORANGE GUY
and stand near EXPLOSIVE BARRELS

I was expecting an extremely painful and gruesome scene like in Quake 4's stroggification process ,where they cut your limbs off, gut you, and then put all kinds of metal pipes and wires throughout your entire body before implanting a CPU in your head that controls every movement you make and make its 99% impossible to change them back. Nevertheless, however, this was a very good SFM. I just the process was a little...well trivial. Doesn't mean the video was bad, however! :)

Also, legend have it they cut your genitalia off or out depending on if you're male or female.
Not Metro Cops though, they're just people that volunteered and they don't receive memory wipes or brutal super-soldier surgery.

Combine are augmented, and when Metropolice rank up to 01 and up (not shown in hl2), they become more and more augmented.

Which they are...Brainwashed and heavily augmented to raise their pain threshold as well as using very strong armour, all though they can still feel pain (Which a lot of people have put up for debate) as in HL2, if you were to shoot one of the Overwatch in the legs a few times he would go into a crouch mode, and upon taking a lot of damage they shout "Shit!" although Civil Protection don't to avoid breaking their own code...

You do know that Combine Police/Metro Cop isn't a synth, its just a citizen who wears a mask and gets better treatment than the citizens which explains how Barney Calhoun easily recognised Gordon Freeman and was able to remove the mask.

Well, this happens with a lot of these half life videos, it shows a man loving another and never wanting to leave them, and they eventually end up getting turned into a a metropolice officer and getting brainwashed, if you ask me I don’t mind, I’m just saying there is a difference. Combine get there memory wiped and modified, metropolice are people who volunteer to “protect civilians” and other stuff like that.

The end goal of the combines is to subjugate every intelligent species in the universe mostly for their intellect. They tried to enslave the Nihilanths who had portal technology. The combines don't even know about human portal technology yet. They are called combines because they assimilate the technology of every species they enslave.

The lore isn't right but I don't really care I have better things to do .........The Combine is a massive empire that spans across countless parallel universes and dimensions and includes an unknown number of sentient species. The Combine with these details in mind project a type 7.0 Civilization, which means they are able to harness entire universes and dimensions. Details of the Combine's leadership and administrative structure remain unknown and if they consist of an economy or even a society it exists beyond the limits of human understanding. On Earth, aliens called the Advisors are responsible for facilitating and overseeing all communication and interaction between the Combine and the Human species, while Dr. Breen is appointed as humanity's Administrator, and de facto leader of all combine forces on Earth.
The Combine is composed of an untold number of species, with entire races being enslaved to their will. They only assimilates intelligent species from the universes they conquer, and manipulate the enslaved species through a variety of means, including bioengineering and artificial implantation. The products of the Combine's re-engineering process are known as "synths", bio-mechanical organisms that serve a variety of functions within the empire. The Combine also uses their technology to create armies of super-soldiers, uniquely adapted to the particular environments of the conquered worlds. GU are humans, citizens becoming GU by their own wish, btw they have to do lot of work to prove their intentions to become GU. Theres only one structure where people forced to become it without their wish - OTA, but not every human can become OTA, he must be strong to survive hard operation
And not quite lore abiding... CP, or civil protection choose themselves to enlist, not forced, and also, unless they were 'mating' girl shouldn't have been shot, unless some sort of rebel. Other than that, really liked the animation and detail

The metro coppers(thats how i call metro police)dont get memory wipes,they are juat people that were promised bettwr food, living, stiff like that, for working as security for the combine.you can see this on the end of half life two ep.one

Just wanted to say that CP arent made like that. They are humans that simply decided to join. The Overwatch is basicly made the same way as CP in your video.
This doesn't make sense. When the dude got turned into a combine you used the metro police or civil protection model, yet from that little story we got it seems it wasn't his choice to be a civil protection unit. In the cities when they harvest you, which it seems they did to the main character he should be a harvester or a regular combine, or an over watch. But still...good animation
I do not think that the Combine would let people walk around the citadel to normal people. The process of transformation into a soldier takes place in Nova Prospekt, and Civil Protection are normal people.

Very good! My only recommendations would be to maybe to find another suitable voice actor for narrative to give it that dramatic kick and maybe keep several shots a bit tighter for more realism. The lighting and everything though was very good! Good luck on the Saxxy!

I really feel bad for the stalkers, they were just normal people who surrendered against Breen and were transformed into a stalker. It's quite sad.
I am sorry for being *that* guy but this video is far from being any good.
I know the process of animation and how hard can it be,I really do.
I will not touch the animation aspect of the video, since there were no author animations, only default ones and some camera moving. But that does not mean anything bad, actually.
So my points are more lore related:
1)Metropolice are mere humans, they do not go through any kind of physicall or mental operations (such as that mind wipe or whatever we could see at 3:18).
2)They are recruited from those who will to serve, not random raid victims.
3)Citadel has little to do with Human to Combine transformation. Nova Prospekt is the place, where all operations of this kind occur.
