Pink Noise for Ten Hours of Ambient Sound Blocker Masker - Burn In - Relaxation

  • Ten hours of uninterrupted Pink Noise for relaxation at low volume and masking of other noise in your direct environment. Pink noise randomized static which sounds like a combination of the ocean and a TV set. You may like newer creations like Orange Noise • Orange Noise Dark Scre... .
Television static is white noise by definition which is thinner sounding with less low frequencies than pink noise. Pink Noise has equal energy to all sound frequency octaves. That means more lows, or bass frequencies, that sound similar to the power of ocean waves or a large waterfall.
Immerse yourself in pink noise for a whole day shift or a good night's sleep. Experience the effects of Pink noise over time to understand what it is and its potential natural calming effect on the mind. Noise, even at a low level, seems to have the effect of masking more disruptive sounds in the listening environment. It has been used in offices to subdue the mechanical sounds of office equipment voices and phones.
Pink Noise is electronically generated, yet seems to have a primal aesthetic. It is reminiscent of natural sounds: the ocean, a large waterfall, heavy rain and wind...all of which man has listened to since the dawn of time. Listeners use pink noise for meditation, masking environmental sounds or other uses, I had not conceived at the time of publishing in the early days of RUclips.
    Thanks listeners!
I do know that Pink Noise is used by audio engineers to test speakers as the full spectrum sound which can quickly reveal optimal speaker performance or speaker issues. Mixing consoles and audio software programs often have pink and white noise generators built in for testing signal paths of audio gear.
Many listeners use Pink Noise for headphone and speaker burn-in. A few manufacturers mention the technique. Headphones are meant to be used out of the box. Some enthusiasts who feel a worn in set of headphones sound better. By playing full spectrum pink noise for an extended period (20-40 hours), the wear in process is fast tracked the the speaker response the units will have for years to come.
    On a technical note:
The amount of spectrum energy decreases 10 dB/octave of frequency. This creates increased low frequency information in relation to mid-range and high frequencies.
This is the first ever long play noise on the DaleSnale - Noise Ambient channel and I thank RUclips for the 'Official' ranking. It's rough around the edges and later videos have improved graphic quality.
All the audio is generated and mixed at ElectricCanyon recording studio to ensure a pleasant listening or burning experience.
The creation process was made with a ProTools digital audio workstation(DAW). The generated noise signal was then equalized to represent the audio spectrum responses of Pink Noise as defined by the broadcast industry in the early-mid 20th Century.
    Thanks for Listening. Dale

Water tastes the way it does because it's chemical makeup is different from that of your own Saliva. While your mouth is accustomed to the way your saliva tastes when water enters into your mouth you taste the difference between what you are accustomed to and what is being introduced. H20 doesn't have much in the form of taste, but as it washes away saliva the lack of taste causes the sensation of taste that you are experiencing.

You ask me for a hamburger. My attempt to reciprocate is cut brutally short as my body experiences a sudden lack of electrons. Across a variety of hidden dimensions you are dismayed. John Lennon hands me an apple, but it slips through my fingers. I am reborn as an ocelot. You disapprove. A crack echoes through the universe in defiance of conventional physics as cosmological background noise shifts from randomness to a perfect A Flat. Children everywhere stop what they are doing and hum along in perfect pitch with the background radiation. Birds fall from the sky as the sun engulfs the earth. You hesitate momentarily before allowing yourself to assume the locus of all knowledge. Entropy crumbles as you peruse the information contained within the universe. A small library in Phoenix ceases to exist. You stumble under the weight of everythingness, Your mouth opens up to cry out, and collapses around your body before blinking you out of the spatial plane. You exist only within the fourth dimension. The fountainhead of all knowledge rolls along the ground and collides with a small dog. My head tastes sideways as spacetime is reestablished, you blink back into the corporeal world disoriented, only for me to hand you a hamburger as my body collapses under the strain of reconstitution. The universe has reasserted itself. A particular small dog is fed steak for the rest of its natural life. You die in a freak accident moments later, and your soul works at the returns desk for the Phoenix library. You disapprove. Your disapproval sends ripples through the inter-dimensional void between life and death. A small child begins to cry as he walks toward the stairway where his father stands.

@@andrewboyle1723 Hi Andrew. How are you doing? Hyperakusis and Recruitment are two different things. Hyperakusis is a mailfunction of a part in the brain during the hearing process. It can be retrained with white or pink nose. Recruitment is a damage of parts in your ear, often cause by loud music or simply by aging. Recruitment is the damage of parts (the inner ear hairs) which are responsible for the hearing of difference frequencies. R. can be very unpleasant as often some frequencies are heard quieter while other are too loud or distorted. This kind of damage can not be retrained but you can get help to deal with the hearing problem psychologically and hearing aids are also an option. But pink noise or white noise can not retrain physically damage. So to the other readers: please make sure what kind of illness you have before you train with pink or white noise. If yes, you have a chance to make your hearing back to normal.
Just take a stop from listening anything, or either stop listening to music very loudly.
Music (when having a hearing trauma and after a trauma) should be the quietest possible. It's hard to live with that but trust me, it's well worth it.

Im doing an experiment where i've done a hearing test on myself, then I increased the frequences on my equalizer to match my good hearing, and now I'm playing pink noise at full blast for 3 weeks and by the end of it I'll have perfectly balanced hearing and I will hear the truth of the world.

i wanna thank dalesnale for this assortment of noises.
i've been suffering from tinnitus for 2 months now and it's been driving me crazy, it's like this high pitched continuous beep inside my head that won't stop, but listening to any of the noises on this channel really helps mask this tinnitus (though the effect lasts only as long as you're listening to the noise), but it's helped keep some of my sanity.
    so thank you once more.

I really like pink noise as it sounds a lot like a waterfall and really helps me to get a good nights rest. I've been trying different ambient sounds like the spaceships on another channel but found pink noise is best for me so far. A couple of nights ago I went to bed with no ambient sound from my PC speakers and woke up feeling as if I hardly had any rest at all. Just bleh (if you know what I mean). Then last night I put on the pink noise and woke up feeling quite rested like I used too when I was a lot younger (I'm 63). Now I'm running this one and I picture in my minds eye a beautiful waterfall and I just know it's going to be another good nights rest. Thanks.

I got my ringing in ear (tinnitus) in 2014 after a Slayer gig. Recently got a spike in ringing playing my bass in a lockdown jam session with some friends. This really helped me sleep for last one week!! My ringing mellowed down a bit also. Never knew pink noise is so soothing....its like white noise with low bass rumbles. God bless you @dalesnale , thanks a lot man.

    • @dalesnale

Thanks ID. My ears feeling better not working as a live sound engineer the past year, with a few loud sessions and rehearsals. Sometimes noise is soothing and blocks or even interrupts the ringing, which the brain sometimes leaves on 'auto-complete' well after a loud environment has subsided. (At least that's one contemporary neurological theory of what's going on with tinnitus)

OK. I am really thankful for this. this exact frequency is the only thing that helps with my tinnitus. it's usually tolerable, but once in a while it becomes overbearing, which is especially bad when I need to go to sleep. this pink noise is the only type of masking that is a frequency capable of counteracting/negating my ringing. sure it only lasts while its near my ears, but that's plenty for me. God bless.

I've listened to goodness only knows how many 'noises' for help with my tinnitus. This one is the only one that does help a little. I'm not sure if part of it might be the visual stimulation, but it doesn't matter as long as it takes the edge off.

This is the best video on RUclips, really more useful than lots of the others. I use it to burn in my headphones, to set up my electric guitar sound for fitting the mix and for relaxation. Really lots of uses for this shit man, I like it !

I use this when my roommate is on the phone/snoring or when the people in the dorms above me are being too loud. I sometimes accompany it with music.

If you play this through a soundbar up at full volume it's almost as loud as a Ps4 Pro running digital copies

For the last few months this has put me to sleep, and I have dreamt all night to this almost every night. Thank you very much. I must add I love all of your color videos. The sensations and other noises that arise when laying and listening deeply for a long period of time...... pretty neat

For hyperacusis, should this be listened to with a low or moderate volume?
