      Water tastes the way it does because it's chemical makeup is different from that of your own Saliva. While your mouth is accustomed to the way your saliva tastes when water enters into your mouth you taste the difference between what you are accustomed to and what is being introduced. H20 doesn't have much in the form of taste, but as it washes away saliva the lack of taste causes the sensation of taste that you are experiencing.

      You ask me for a hamburger. My attempt to reciprocate is cut brutally short as my body experiences a sudden lack of electrons. Across a variety of hidden dimensions you are dismayed. John Lennon hands me an apple, but it slips through my fingers. I am reborn as an ocelot. You disapprove. A crack echoes through the universe in defiance of conventional physics as cosmological background noise shifts from randomness to a perfect A Flat. Children everywhere stop what they are doing and hum along in perfect pitch with the background radiation. Birds fall from the sky as the sun engulfs the earth. You hesitate momentarily before allowing yourself to assume the locus of all knowledge. Entropy crumbles as you peruse the information contained within the universe. A small library in Phoenix ceases to exist. You stumble under the weight of everythingness, Your mouth opens up to cry out, and collapses around your body before blinking you out of the spatial plane. You exist only within the fourth dimension. The fountainhead of all knowledge rolls along the ground and collides with a small dog. My head tastes sideways as spacetime is reestablished, you blink back into the corporeal world disoriented, only for me to hand you a hamburger as my body collapses under the strain of reconstitution. The universe has reasserted itself. A particular small dog is fed steak for the rest of its natural life. You die in a freak accident moments later, and your soul works at the returns desk for the Phoenix library. You disapprove. Your disapproval sends ripples through the inter-dimensional void between life and death. A small child begins to cry as he walks toward the stairway where his father stands.

    • @topperharley1337
      @topperharley1337 5 лет назад +8

      @@andrewboyle1723 Hi Andrew. How are you doing? Hyperakusis and Recruitment are two different things. Hyperakusis is a mailfunction of a part in the brain during the hearing process. It can be retrained with white or pink nose. Recruitment is a damage of parts in your ear, often cause by loud music or simply by aging. Recruitment is the damage of parts (the inner ear hairs) which are responsible for the hearing of difference frequencies. R. can be very unpleasant as often some frequencies are heard quieter while other are too loud or distorted. This kind of damage can not be retrained but you can get help to deal with the hearing problem psychologically and hearing aids are also an option. But pink noise or white noise can not retrain physically damage. So to the other readers: please make sure what kind of illness you have before you train with pink or white noise. Are you young?
      If yes, you have a chance to make your hearing back to normal.
      Just take a stop from listening anything, or either stop listening to music very loudly.
      Music (when having a hearing trauma and after a trauma) should be the quietest possible. It's hard to live with that but trust me, it's well worth it.
      Also when outside wear hearing protection, since everyone likes screaming on the streets.

    i wanna thank dalesnale for this assortment of noises.
    i've been suffering from tinnitus for 2 months now and it's been driving me crazy, it's like this high pitched continuous beep inside my head that won't stop, but listening to any of the noises on this channel really helps mask this tinnitus (though the effect lasts only as long as you're listening to the noise), but it's helped keep some of my sanity.
    so thank you once more.

    I really like pink noise as it sounds a lot like a waterfall and really helps me to get a good nights rest. I've been trying different ambient sounds like the spaceships on another channel but found pink noise is best for me so far. A couple of nights ago I went to bed with no ambient sound from my PC speakers and woke up feeling as if I hardly had any rest at all. Just bleh (if you know what I mean). Then last night I put on the pink noise and woke up feeling quite rested like I used too when I was a lot younger (I'm 63). Now I'm running this one and I picture in my minds eye a beautiful waterfall and I just know it's going to be another good nights rest. Thanks.

I could almost imagine I was camping near a stream in the lake District. I had to turn it off before I slept but I had a full 8 hours of unbroken sleep afterwards. Will repeat the experiment tonight.

    OK. I am really thankful for this. this exact frequency is the only thing that helps with my tinnitus. it's usually tolerable, but once in a while it becomes overbearing, which is especially bad when I need to go to sleep. this pink noise is the only type of masking that is a frequency capable of counteracting/negating my ringing. sure it only lasts while its near my ears, but that's plenty for me. God bless.

      Thanks ID. My ears feeling better not working as a live sound engineer the past year, with a few loud sessions and rehearsals. Sometimes noise is soothing and blocks or even interrupts the ringing, which the brain sometimes leaves on 'auto-complete' well after a loud environment has subsided. (At least that's one contemporary neurological theory of what's going on with tinnitus)

I could certainly pick out some heavy metal playong in the first hour then later I could hear something like classic ballads, I would like to point out however, I have not been prescibed nor am I taking any psychotropic medication. ☺
