    I can't believe how soothing this is on my overly sensitive, ringing ears. I had no idea pink noise was even a thing and happened to read an article in my search for tinnitus relief. Thank you!!

    I don't know what it is about Pink noise but man it relaxes me completely. The sweeping in infrequence puts me to sleep faster than any other and I have chronic insomnia. I have to check if you have others. Thanks for putting this on here and for all other sleep noises.

    This gave me my sleep back after my tinnitus started around 4 months ago. Thank you so much, may your life be filled with happiness and good things, if it wasn't for this I don't know where I would be. I've been using this for over 3 months now, it does wonders :)

    Been suffering off and on from stupid twitches in my eardrum for nearly 25 years. No help from doctors. Saw a "pink noise" suggestion on a health forum...and it worked! The twitching in my eardrum stopped for the first time without having to just suffer until it stops after sleeping. YAY YAY YAY!!! Amazing stuff!!!! Thank you so very much!!!

      Wow. I have only had twitchy ear drums when I am head sick. Very uncomfortable. Glad it was useful to your situation. Cheers.

      Whats an eardrum twitch?

    • @brightpurpleviking
      @brightpurpleviking 10 лет назад +2

      +matrox it's when a muscle in your inner ear has a spasm or a "twitch" just like your eyelid or a muscle does from time to time. It's a repeated, light muscle spasm that contracts and releases over and over and over. It's super annoying because you can't really do anything to relieve it, and it amplifies because of the nature of it being right next to your eardrum.

      Wow, i didnt know you pinned this! I used this and other pinks to get thru a surprisingly traumatic misophonia event (mega construction site opened next door to my previously quiet apartment...) The only way i endured it was to blast this stuff as loud as possible...maybe gave myself a little tinnitus in the process but i'd rather experience that than the auditory torture that is misophonia.

    I have hyperacusis; I was in a bad mood to being with this morning, then my old man came out and started eating breakfast, striking the cereal bowl with his spoon LOUDLY every second for about 3 minutes, I got a migraine and a lot of tension in my neck that fast. I started this video up with my therapy-sensitive headphones, the tension is gone by the 5min mark. THANK YOU dalesnale, not even my expensive therapy CD's give me this relief so fast.

    Visualization, Cognitive Behavioral therapy techniques, and a solid hobby. I like to have different hobbies, like ones I can do that aren't too hard (drawing, writing, photography) and ones I can do that make me use my whole body and mind (jogging, horse riding). When my anxiety attacks start, I excuse myself and go sprint as hard as I can outside til I can't, sorta like hitting the restart. Being healthy is key, be sure to check up on your allergies, hormones, and nutrition. I hope this helps!

    Great definition! That said, the randomness is limited by our computer digital noise generator processing capabilities in most cases. The unpredictability is well beyond the humans ability to discern the non-randomness in these noise samples. All my Ten Hour Noise clips are continuous, never looped, therefore unique at any given moment.

    *If anybody's wondering, I used Sennheiser HD500a headphones to listen for 30mins. This is not only sound therapy, but to help with visualization of things that make me anxious. I have bad anxiety, and PTSD (lol I'm a basket case!) and listening to the video with the Sennheiser's made it much more productive to sit back and visualize my triggers. I can notice my heart and breath rate change before I even feel anxious. Anyone with anxiety/sound sensitivity, try getting HD's and listen to this!

      +Jibran Khalil . While this is often true, there is in fact a noticeable "burn-in" of tube equipment. New speakers often mellow out over the first 100 hours of play. Burn-in is a controversial subject at best. Remember that there are things in electronics that can be measured yet not heard, and conversely things that can be heard but not measured.

    Pink Noise is the source I started with. The name is a definition of random noise generation that has equal energy per octave as perceived by human listeners--heavier bass than its white noise counterpart. Also called Flicker Noise, PN is an old term and used by audio engineers and is found in audio test equipment and synthesizers. Thanks for listening.

      +dalesnale the grey, white, very high freq and pink noises at half the volume of the mega noise with all four played together is mesmerizing

    On DSL it takes 10 to 20 hours depending on the video resolution that is used. I'm about to upload Sweeping Grey Noise which is a 1.7GB file .I upload overnight and temporarily reset the power options so the computer stays on.

    Is this good for burning in headphones? Or is the normal pink sound better?

    Noise is used to mean a lot of things in engineering. Say, building a cell phone system, or an ultrasound machine, come from trying to extract a desired information 'signal' from a background of unwanted 'noise'. In general, 'noise' can refer to anything that interferes with what we want: it might be a single voice of someone sitting next to us in a movie, but the 'purest' form of noise comes from a totally random source. In engineering terms, this randomness corresponds to unpredictability.
