Yes that was Chler. Her and Greg Allman were married briefly. They had a son together who looks JUST LIKE his father
My favorite Allman Brothers song! This brings back good memories of my childhood! Being born in the 1970s, I grew up listening to ALL of this music - my parents albums. 😆 This was one of my favorite songs!
Sonny was Cher's first husband. She went onto to date many famous men and married Gregg and had their son Elijah Blue. He was the very young guitar player in the "If I Could Turn Back Time" video.
Amber nailed it!! This is the epitome of dirt road cruising!!
This was a staple back in my farm boy years!
AFTER Sonny, Cher was with and married to: Gregg Allman. They have a son named Elijah Blue.
If you haven't reacted to it yet, put "Layla" on your list. That's Eric Clapton and Duane Allman on guitar. The band is Derek and the Dominoes. "Layla" is classic rock.
The guy with the muttonchops is Gregg Allman, who plays organ and is the lead singer. He was married to Cher but it was long after Sonny Bono. Gregg’s brother Duane looked like him. He played slide guitar and was an epic player but died young in a motorcycle accident. One of their songs you must listen to is from the Live at Fillmore East album and it’s called Stormy Monday.
Cher married Greg after her divorce from Sonny. She got together with Sonny when she was something like 16.
Lead singer Greg was married to Cher. They had a son and named him Elijah Blue. I think he plays guitar as well.
Cher was very, very young when she married Sonny, Gregg Allman was later and father of her second child. She has dated it seems like most eligible men in rock lol.
Including Richie Sambora
It is Southern rock. The singer is Greg Allman. He was married to Cher after she was married to Sonny Bono.
Gregg's solo album, "Laid Back" is a whole chill album for your backyard. He covers this on it too.
Another chill backroadin' song is Smokey Robinson's Cruisin'.
Had the album. Loved the song about getting on the bus with some lady...do you know the one I'm thinking of?
Great song! Southern rock. So many great Allman Bros songs. FYI Sonny was first and then Gregg. And she and Gregg had a son Elijah Blue Allman.
"Whipping Post" is an awesome song by them...
Duane was hanging around a recording studio where Eric Clapton was recording. Clapton was told "there's some guy named Duane Allman here." Clapton: "You mean THE Duane Allman?" They then collaborated on Layla. The INCOMPARABLE slide guitar on Layla is Duane
Duane Allman created the guitar sound that is called Southern Rock.
You all are correct. After Sonny and Cher broke up, she was involved with Gregg Allman.
Definitely try “One Way Out” or “Sweet Melissa” to experience their different vibes
One way out is worthy
Well youve hit a piece of my heart with the Allman bros. Gregg is so missed now
And we lost 2 of them so early on. . Both on motorcycle s Duane and the bass player,Barry Oakley.. Yes ,a little southern rock, but to me just excellent music, forever for me. Cher was with sonny a long time first. After a divorce, cher married Gregg, and had one child ,Elijah Blue. Divorced soon after.
The Allman Brothers have a large catalog of great music. Check out Melissa, Whipping Post, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, Statesboro Blues and Rambling Man among others. Thanks for the great reaction!
My favorite Allman Bro's songThanks y'all ... "Backroadin"--- Try a trip to Roman Nose-- It's even do-able as a Day Trip if you can't spend the night... was an easy Family Trip🚐(used to live between OKC & Yukon)🏕
Southern Rock. Much love for the Allman Brothers. ❤️
Sonny and Cher were married from 64 to 75. He was a genius. He got her talents noticed. You should listen to The Beat Goes On. Great Sonny and Cher song.
One of the best front to back albums I think is there album “ Eat a Peach” fantastic
It was Greg the lead singer and Dewaynes (lead guitarist) little brother, and it was after Sonny
Classic Allman joint. As SOULFUL & BLUESY as "Southern Rock" could ever get. Always sounds eternally cool.
Hey Amber, Gregg Allman was 16 years old when Sonny & Cher got married. : ) love ya, Paul
Sweet Melissa is another good one by the Allmen Brothers
Cher was married to Sonny Bono first. They divorced in the mid 70s and Cher met Greg Allman and married him. She had a child with Sonny and a child with Greg.
Ramblin Man would be their next big tune for you to hear if you haven't already. It's a timeless classic.
Greg Allman and Cher were married years after Sonny and Cher. Sonny and Cher got together when she was 16 years old…. ahem… Anyway! She and Greg married after knowing each other only a matter of days.. they had a son, Elijah Blue Allman. Cher struggled to help Greg kick heroin, but his addiction destroyed their marriage.. they have a wild history..
Allman Brothers are a southern blues band, more than rock. Duane Allman is one of the best slide guitar players eer.
A little trivia the guy playing guitar when she was singing on the navy ship is her son with Gregg Allman the lead singer of the band
Follow this thread: the late Butch Trucks was the drummer for the Allman Brothers Band. His nephew, Derek Trucks, was a guitarist in the band for a little while. Then he had his own band. Derek married Susan Tedeschi, a sultry blues singer and guitarist. She had her own band. Eventually they put the two bands together and now they are The Tedeschi Trucks Band. For Female Friday you should listen to Learn How to Love.
I've requested Midnight in Harlem. I think that song will definitely get them interested.
@@billclarke117 That's a great song! I thought of suggesting that one too but then I thought that maybe one with a dash of funk in it might entice them a little more. But both are great places to start...
@Jonathan gerald Robinson Agree. I've seen them 6 or 7 times.
Hera a side note, Greg Allman was married to “CHER” and they have a Son together “Elijah Blue”. She married him after she and Sonny divorced. “Allman Bros. are definitely Southern Rock, Muscle Shoals & Macon Georgia. Greg Allman is the Lead Singer and plays “ Organ”.. SanJoséBob
Jay … in my humble opinion, Duane Allman is the greatest guitarist of all time.
What is this...a competition?
Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Paige, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Angus Young, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. Honorable Mentions: Pete Townsend and Randy Rhodes
He might have become that if he lived longer. He was only 24 when he died. I would put him in my top 10 of slide guitarists though.
One of my Dad's (and mine too) favorite bands. He went to the huge concert in in 1973 with the ABB, the Grateful Dead, and the Band called Summer Jam Watkins Glen which was bigger than Woodstock. I was 3 and couldn't go ):
