got the gear fever for 20mm 1.8 sony g but can't stand spending the money for it. Got this lens instead and zero complaints. Perfect for my a7c2. Great video!
I am torn between this lens and TTartisan 35mm f1.8 or the TTartisan 27mm f2.8, I saw your video on the 35mm f1.8 and you mentioned the AF sucks..may I know has it been improved after firmware update?
Hey Tom, Great Video. Just wondering, What is that red filter did you use? I'm also looking for a nice compact filter for the viltrox. Thanks in advance! 🙏
Thank you buddy! That is a horrible, cheap VND filter, I picked up somewhere online, I think from a brand Fotga. I don’t recommend it. Better invest in a bit more expensive but a lot better quality one like Freewell
Let me first address the elephant in the room 🤣 - loved that! Great, fun video and the lens seems to be a bit of a surprise. Now I look forward to the next video, as I'm keen on getting an 85mm lens
Hi! I have such a silly question about the lens. I recently purchased it based of your Rec - so thanks!!!! But I can’t figure out how to zoom in on this lens. My old one I just turned it but this one doesn’t… please help 😢 I can’t find any info on it
Hey Ambri, no worries, Im here to help everyone. I have some bad news for you, unfortunately. There are 2 types of lenses: "Zoom Lenses" and "Prime Lenses". Zoom lens, as the name suggests, can zoom and your old one was a zoom lens. Prime lenses, however, don't have that ability, they are fixed focal length lenses. You are probably wondering why would people choose Prime lenses. Well they often tend to be cheaper, lighter, smaller, better quality (because less glass elements) and with wider aperture (better in low light). So for you, only way to "zoom" with this lens is to physically move (walk) closer to the object or back. I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi! I bought the 16mm viltrox, very nice but just as heavy. I'm using it on the gimbal to take shots of rooms, interiors of buildings and cars. You can understand how much effort it takes with a goal like this. And even rs 3 is affected in certain movements. I know that the auto focus of the 20 mm viltrox is not the best. Would you recommend this lens for such work on the gimbal?
Yeah I also have a 16mm on gimbal. It is a bit heavy. 20mm will definitely be on a much lighter side. If you dont mind f2.8 and that its not so high quality lens - go for it. Totally worth for the money
for that price nothing can beat it I think I think will order one and if de quality of the image is the same like the 85 from viltrox for sure will keep it lol
Yeah thats what people sometimes really forget - it costs "peanuts" and we should judge it accordingly. Except if you need the lens to be outstanding or with faster aperture - well then extra cash needs to be spent lol
The red one? Its Fotga or something, but its total crap. I don’t recommend it. Better invest in Freewell. Bit more expensive but amazing quality for the price. Worth it
Viltrox surely cannot be making any profit with this level of quality. The plan appears to be to build a reputation for high quality before raising prices.
Under 200$ - do you think its worth it?
This lens is so good for its price point! It's a no brainer to have in the bag.
what filter did you use??
Great review 🙌🏽 your shots are wonderful. Really helpful to see how this lens could work for us as well.
Thanks buddy! Yeah its an awesome little lens. I don’t think you can get anything better for that price 👌
Love your review, simple language and straight forward. I am getting this lens second hand as new, just 3 months use
Thanks! Oh thats awesome! Cool little lens for sure!

Way to go brother! Paying so little really doesn’t hurt! Good luck with your combo!

Just got this lense today for my A600 what settings do you recommend. Asking for a beginner 😅
Can you hear the AF in video mode when recording audio?
I don’t remember hearing it, so probably not
Las fotos que hiciste, que apertura usaste?
en mi caso a f2.8 no tiene mucha nitidez
What ND filter do you recommend for it without stepping up? My NISI one has terrible vignette.

Fun video btw but i have one question would you recommend it for a small bedroom studio ?
Yeah you should to totally fine. It is wide enough even for small studios
I have this lens, it's been great so far. Excellent review! 🐘
Thanks so much my friend!

Bro! What’s the indie filter you were using on the lens my guy?
Like brand and model?

Viltrox become my favorite , they make good lenses
They get better and better
better than tamron 24mm 2.8 mate?
Is this suit to my a6400?
Sure although its a full frame lens. The focal length will be a bit different though
Viltrox has been killing it lately
For real man, especially with their latest Pro lineup
that red filter?
Really bad. Fotga or something I bought on amazon. I do not recommend it at all. Looks cool, yes, but optically useless
The unspoken trio. Sigma art 19mm,30mm, 60mm f2.8.
Sigma art 19mm is not full frame.
@@henakosit’s not technically, but the coverage is really close to the full sensor. It only takes minimal cropping to get rid of the vignette
@@taylorbrawner2052 Thanks for this information. 👍 Interesting lens. 🤔

You could be on to something. Even their PRO lenses are best ive ever tested on apsc and they seem extremely underpriced
Не понимаю нужен ли он мне
No matter the price…the quality isnt enough guys
