He was not saved in the sense that you think. Jesus was referring to this mans future resurrection at some point after Armageddon. (Acts 24:15) Even the other thief will most probably receive the same.
The promise made to the thief at Luke 23:43 ("“Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”") " was not the promise to be in “the paradise of God” mentioned at Re 2:7, since that promise was made to “the one who conquers,” that is, Christ’s corulers in the heavenly Kingdom. (Lu 22:28-30) This criminal was not a conqueror of the world with Jesus Christ; nor had he been “born from water and spirit.” (Joh 3:5; 16:33) He will evidently be one of “the unrighteous” who are resurrected as earthly subjects of the Kingdom when Christ rules over the Paradise earth for a thousand years.-Ac 24:15; Re 20:4, 6." Paradise is heaven smart guy. It’s the realm that at one time was in Abraham’s bosom (where Christ went to preach to the spirits in prison). Then when Christ resurrected, it was moved to the realm where Jehovah lives. Your Bible has the comma in the wrong place. Your organization is false, your God is the governing body, your Bible is a perverted translation.

JWs will frequently cite Acts 8:26-40, the account of the Ethiopian eunuch, as proof that we need them to teach us what the Bible means. It's strange, then, that when the subject of baptism comes up, they don't mention the part of that account where the eunuch says “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” WHAT? No 60-question oral exam about WatchTower doctrine first? No pledge of association with an organization that wouldn't exist for another 1800 years or so? What on Earth was Philip *_thinking?_* Why didn't he teach the eunuch all the works he needed? I guess that's what happens when you listen to the Spirit instead of the Governing Body, huh? That must be inconvenient when you're trying to control people...

      Tertullian, Baptism ch.18:
"If Philip so easily baptized the (ethiopian) chamberlain, let us reflect that a manifest and conspicuous evidence that the Lord deemed him worthy had been interposed."
The ethiopian had clearly demonstrated faith sufficient to be baptized.
At that time, only faith in Christ was needed. But after nearly 2000 of apostasy, the true faith must distinguish itself from the plethora of false denominations.
Unless you can prove that true Christians have always existed..?

@@davidagnew8792 And you apparently hold that JWs are the sole determiners of what is true faith and who practices it? Who said that "true faith must distinguish itself", and what it takes to demonstrate that? You lot? Still writing the WT into scripture retroactively? In the case of the eunuch, "the Lord deemed him worthy" is sufficient, but now the JWs get to make that determination? And how does a person's ability to memorize and parrot back answers to 60 JW doctrinal questions demonstrate anything? Come on, David. If you want people to accept what you're saying, it should at least make sense.

@@evanwindom3265Compare Jeremiah 50 with Revelation 18. The time frame is the same.

Jer 50:8 (CEV): "Escape from Babylonia."
Rev 18:4 (CEV): "Escape from Babylon."
      But what of true religion?
Jer 50:4 (NET): "When that time comes, the people of Israel and Judah will return to the land together. They will come back with tears of repentance as they seek the LORD their God."
Rev 1:7 (ERV): "Jesus is coming with the clouds! All people of the earth will cry loudly because of him."
At that time...Jesus is coming (denotes when Jesus returns).
tears of repentance...peoples will cry loudly (denotes a time of repentance when Jesus returns).
Jer 50:6 (NET): "My people have been lost sheep."
Jer 50:17 (NET): "The people of Israel are like scattered sheep."
Jer 50:19 (NET): "But I will restore the flock of Israel to their own pasture."
      Jer 50:26: "Destroy her completely!"
Rev 18:19: "in a single hour she has been destroyed!"
Jer 50:29: "Pay her back for what she has done."
Rev 18:6: "Repay her the same way she repaid others."
Jeremiah 50 and Revelation 18 are the same time frame, when true faith is restored.
How can true faith be restored if true faith has always existed?
Jer 50:8 (Good News): "People of Israel, run away from Babylonia! Be _the first_ to leave!"
Bible Students (Jehovah's Witnesses) were the _first_ to heed the call to get out of false religion (Rev 18:4; Jer 50:8).
If true faith has always existed, who were the first to leave Babylon in Rev 18:4 and Jer 50:8?

@@davidagnew8792 David, who is Jeremiah's audience? "Peoples"? No. Israel and Judah.
You didn't prove anything. You rip some verses out of content from Jeremiah, filter them through your WT glasses, and apply them universally to everyone but the WT. That's not proof. That's text without context becoming a pretext for a proof text. Look at Jer 50:8 -- who is being spoken of? "People of *_Israel"_* but you are assuming that it's about JWs solely based on your opinions, not scriptural evidence.
"Bible Students (Jehovah's Witnesses) were the first to heed the call to get out of false religion (Rev 18:4; Jer 50:8)." That can't possibly be true, since they ARE a false religion. True faith? Way not. JWs have more faith in Stephen Lett than Jesus Christ.

Funny enough it wasn't until 1985 that TheOrg was inserted into the questions.
"What are the questions usually put by Brother Russell when receiving candidates for water immersion?
ANSWER.--You will notice that they are on broad lines--questions which any Christian, whatever his confession, should be able to answer in the affirmative without hesitation if he is suitable to be acknowledged as a member of the Church of Christ:
    (1) Have you repented of sin with such restitution as you are able, and are you trusting in the merit of Christ's sacrifice for the forgiveness of your sins and the basis of your justification?
    (2) Have you made a full consecration of yourself with all the powers that you possess--talent, money, time, influence--all to the Lord, to be used faithfully in His service, even unto death?
    (3) On the basis of these confessions, we acknowledge you as a member of the Household of Faith, and give to you as such the right hand of fellowship, not in the name of any sect or party or creed, but in the name of the Redeemer, our glorified Lord, and His faithful followers." What Pastor Russell Said pp.35-36
"A Christian, therefore, cannot be baptized in the name of the one actually doing the immersing or in the name of any man, nor in the name of any organization, but in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit." Watchtower 1955 Jul 1 p.411
"We do not dedicate ourselves to a religion, nor to a man, nor to an organization. No, we dedicate ourselves to the Supreme Sovereign of the Universe, our Creator, Jehovah God himself. This makes dedication a very personal relationship between us and Jehovah." Watchtower 1966 Oct 1 pp.603-604
    The first question is:
On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
    The second is:
Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with God's spirit-directed organization? Having answered yes to these questions, candidates are in a right heart condition to undergo Christian baptism." Watchtower 1985 Jun 1 p.30
2019, reference to the holy spirit was removed altogether.
“(1) “Have you repented of your sins, dedicated yourself to Jehovah, and accepted his way of salvation through Jesus Christ?”
    (2) “Do you understand that your baptism identifies you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with Jehovah’s organization?””

    • @LightoverDarkMinistry
      @LightoverDarkMinistry  5 месяцев назад +1

Good Question. 4 Ways. First you have is two different words. In Matthew 24:36 eidó, which be used for knowledge but also words like to behold, or to make known, announcement. Now elsewhere like in verse 50, about the servant not knowing when the Master would return, it's ginóskó, which is a full knowledge, awareness. So the first word implies it's the Father's job to make known, when the Son would return.
Another is the analogy of a Jewish wedding. It was the Father's job to announce the groom. Being that Christ is the groom and the Church is the bride, we can see why Jesus could have been using this analogy.
Thirdly is perhaps Christ is purposely choosing not to know. In his humanity, he's being obedient to the Father, and keeps that fact hidden. This would make any attempt by a false teacher who says "The end is such and such date" would also be saying, "I have information that The Father doesn't even share with Jesus." This of course hasn't stopped many, but it makes it easier for the church to point out and condemn.
Hope that makes sense. If you want me to clarify or expand, just let me know!

Catholic here. They want to make sure you truly understand what baptism means and your faith, since Catholics believe in infant baptism, the classes are really for the parents usually, it’s to make sure you agree that your role as a parent is to teach them about Christianity and raise them in the faith. They are trying to prevent parents from baptizing purely out of tradition or to appease a grandparent when they have no intentions of evangelizing their child past that. They want the family to live in Christ not just see it as a ritual.

Along with teaching them about the sacraments, they offer Bible studies, classes of the faith (catechesis), etc. Ever wonder why some people fall for cults that have wrong message of Jesus (JW, Mormon, etc) they were poorly catechized and never truly understood who Jesus is. Miscreants reject salvation after baptism, according to Tertullian.
    "Here, then, those miscreants provoke questions. And so they say, Baptism is not necessary for them to whom faith is sufficient;
Grant that, in days gone by, there was salvation by means of bare faith, before the passion and resurrection of the Lord. But now that faith has been enlarged, and has become a faith which believes in His nativity, passion, and resurrection, there has been an amplification added to the sacrament, viz., the sealing act of baptism; the clothing, in some sense, of the faith which before was bare, and which cannot exist now without its proper law. For the law of baptizing has been imposed, and the formula prescribed...has tied faith to the _necessity_ of baptism."
(Tertullian On Baptism. Chapter 13. Baptism is Now a Law).
    __________
On the basis that a matter is established on the testimony of two or three witnesses (Deut 19:15), the eternal life of anointed ones is established at baptism by three witnesses (the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
And there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood (1 John 5:7,8).
"And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life..." (1 John 5:11).
Tertullian says salvation comes to the anointed after attestation of faith and then baptism under the three witnesses:
"Moreover, after the pledging both of the attestation of faith and the promise of salvation under three witnesses, there is added, of necessity, mention of the Church."

Jehovah's Witnesses teach there is no hell but the following proves differently.
Jesus Himself Speaks About Hell And How Not To Go There:
In Luke 16:19-31 Jesus describes a rich man that lived lavishly and a poor beggar man named Lazarus. It came to pass that Lazarus died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man died, was buried, then went to hell. 23 And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in TORMENT, saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented IN THIS FLAME. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received good things, and likewise Lazarus received evil things, but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you can not, neither can they pass to us, and would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray you therefore father, that you would send him to my father’s house. 28 For I have 5 brothers that he may testify unto them, lest also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham said unto him, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay father Abraham, but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
LOCATION OF HELL: Jesus said in Matthew 12:40, ”For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH.” Paul said in Ephesians 4:9, ”Now that he ascended, was it but that he also DESCENDED into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH.”
HELL IS A PLACE OF FIRE: Jesus said in Luke 16:24,”….Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue for I am TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.”
Jesus said in Matthew 13:42,”And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE, there shall be WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.” Jesus said in Matthew 25:41,”Then shall he also say to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Jesus said in Revelation 20:15,”And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.”
HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT: Jesus said in Luke 16:23,”And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENT….” 24 …..for I am TORMENTED in this flame.” Jesus said in Revelation 14:11,”And the smoke of their TORMENT ascended up FOR EVER AND EVER, and they have no rest day or night….” Jesus said in Mark 9:45-46,”And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off, it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED. 46 Where their WORM DIES NOT, and the fire is not quenched.” Note that it doesn’t say “THE Worm”, it says “THEIR WORM” dies not. Jesus said in Revelation 21:8,”But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, which is the second death.” Note that Brimstone is Sulfur and burns with a very strong odor of rotten eggs.
The scriptures above prove when a person goes to hell they will constantly see hell, constantly smell hell, constantly feel the heat of hell, will constantly breath hell, will constantly hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth of others in hell, will constantly be aware of their own worms, they will have no rest day or night, there is no way out and it will continue for ever and ever, they can’t die because they are already dead.
The following is how to not go there and it is a SIMPLE AND EASY thing to do:
All of the book of Acts is what Jesus disciples said what we must to be SAVED - meaning not go to hell, which is repentance, water baptism in Jesus NAME, (Not the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) and being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believes not shall be damned."
At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19,"Go therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not name's) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time they invoked Jesus NAME at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16.
Jesus said in John 3:3-7,"Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man BE BORN AGAIN, he can not see the kingdom of God. 5 Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 7 Marvel not that I say unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Being born of water is being baptized in water which is for the REMISSION OF SINS - meaning the INITIAL remission of sins and not the confessing of sins later addressed in 1 John 1:9. Being born of the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost. What being baptized with the Holy Ghost means is addressed in Acts 2:3-4, (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5 - which is when the Spirit of Christ initially dwells in a person. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example.
Paul said in Romans 8:9-11,”But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS."
Numbers 23:19, ”God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent, has he said and shall he not do it? And shall he not make it good?”
Malachi 3:6,”For I am the Lord, I change not...”
Hebrews 13:8,”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” That means there is no reason to think that Jesus will make an exception and save someone that has not been baptized in water in Jesus NAME, and has not been baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Some say the thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus told him he would be in paradise with him that day. Jesus had not given the COMMANDMENT to be baptized in HIS NAME until after he had risen from the dead and before he ascended into heaven. The thief on the cross could not have been baptized because he did not know about it.
if you do what Jesus said above in Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:19, and John 3:3-7, you will be making SURE your name is Written In Lamb's Book Of Life.
If you are convinced you need to get baptized in water in Jesus Name do a search and type in "United Pentecostal Church International", scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, a screen will show a Church near you that will do that.
Jesus said John 10:27, ”My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Actually you forget something, it is far more complicated top get baptised in JWorg cult. Before even applying for baptism questions test, you need to apply to be a unbaptised publisher. To be approved as an "unbaptised publisher" you need to pass a different test of questions with elders. Than you have to go door to door for at least several months (generally minimum 6-12months) than you can apply for a baptism questions tests. Also If you are not born into the cult, but outsider, before even applying to be an unbaptised publisher, you have to pass a "bible study" course, general about min a year long. So nothing even close or similar to 1st century christianity.

You inadvertently help JW's with your comment. Several have commented about young JW's being baptized and later getting disfellowshipped. But logically, if one has to demonstrate their belief, commitment and resolve over a period of time FIRST, (And LIVE it) does that not better equip them for the future than, say what LODM says happens at his church:
"...a mature 14 year old, wants to get baptized the assistant pastor talks with them, and ask them why. Then the next Sunday, during service, the person says “I believe Jesus is the Christ, Son of the living God, my Lord and Savior,” then the pastor says. “I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” Dunk, everyone claps and cheers."

@@mattgardiner614 Yesterday I spoke with one of your fellow believers on this subject. In the 70s of the last century, the Catholic Church was strongly condemned by your organization for infant baptism. Today, children of baptized Jehovah's Witnesses are encouraged in internal video campaigns to apply to become unbaptized publishers at the age of 6. I know of cases in which 8 and 9-year-old children have been admitted to baptism by Jehovah's Witnesses. Your organization is violating its own original rules with this practice. Where in the New Testament scriptures does it explained that it is necessary to attain the status of an unbaptized publisher before actual baptism?
In addition, children are encouraged in internal video contributions to donate their pocket money to the organization, although it is impossible to predict which path these children will take as adults.
If, for example, the prediction of the "overlapping generation" fails once again, the Governing Body will again shirk its responsibilities, while the individual member who has made substantial donations to the organization in reliance on these predictions will be forced to engage in physically demanding and underpaid gainful labor into old age.
The members of the Governing Body, who consider themselves successors of the Apostles, enjoy a luxurious lifestyle at their headquarters in New York like the Pope and the Curia in the Catholic Church, thanks to the generous donations of their confreres.
In addition, the baptismal formula that the organization imposed on its members violates biblical principles.
A child is baptized at the age of 8 out of his love for his parents and decides to take a different path in life as an adult. From this point on, this person loses his entire social circle. Can you reconcile such a practice with your well-trained conscience?

There is a big difference between being "eight or nine" even, and being a NEWBORN BABY, which is when many 'Mainstream' churches will do it. Would remind you too, that the Catholic rite of Confirmation takes place typically between the ages of 7-13. Or Immediately after baptism in the case of adult converts.
Did you read the earlier back-and-forth I had with LODM? After sending a message where he talks about under 18's being children and that's why as a society we don't let them do a bunch of stuff, I pushed a little more, and what did I get back?

So just like that the threshold came down 4 years. That one and others have also essentially said, 'Well, it's wrong to baptize young ones because they later might decide it's not for them and fall away'. Well, yeah. But so??? Genuinely depressing that I have to point out a, what SHOULD be obvious to all, point of logic, that if going through a process that can take years (Almost 4 in my case), demonstrating your commitment, PROVING you understand what is going on and the responsibility it entails, - so not on a whim - still means that some later fall away (Again, not disputed by me), then how many ultimately fall away from the Churches of Christendom? Where there are far less rigorous standards and you CAN apply for Baptism on a whim?
Frankly, this is so transparently a double standard than I'm not inclined to discuss it further with anyone. As I've said: The only conversation worth having related to this topic is on whether baptism is required for salvation, and the logical follow-up, Salvation once gained, can it be lost?

Unfortunately, you have not internalized the core idea that I expressed in my last comment.
Therefore, your reference to the practices in the Catholic Church is not admissible in this context. As you know, I am not an advocate of the teachings of the Catholic Church. However, the same is true of other religious leaders who have presumed to appropriate a leadership title such as "Governing Body", even though this title and the position associated with it are reserved exclusively for Jesus Christ. (Matthew 23:10)
Whether baptism was regarded by the apostles as a requirement for a confession of true discipleship of Jesus can be deduced by any reader of the Bible from the following messages of the apostle Peter, as he proclaimed them among his Jewish compatriots in the course of the founding of the Christian community in Jerusalem.

Yeah, nothing like that can be found in scripture.
Biblical baptism is not a "dedication" to or for anyone one or anything.
The ONLY scriptural baptism is into the death and resurrection of Christ.
Here is one of the MANY problems with your false god and his "organization";...
Your "Jehovah" is seeking followers for himself.
Watchtower has sent you all out "two by two" to seek to make disciples for "Jehovah" of Watchtower.
The Godhead found in scripture worked together to make disciples for Christ.
Our Father NEVER tries to gain followers, always turns people to His Son.
Our Father reject all who come in HIS name, the ONLY name accepto the Father is Jesus.
Here is what our Father says...
      "This is My beloved Son.
      Hear Him! "
      Here is what the Son said/ says to all He met;
      "Follow Me."
      All are to follow Christ.
The Father only wants and accepts those who follow His Son, even giving His Spirit to the followers of Christ.
The Spirit worked together with Father and Son with miracles, signs and wonders.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Godhead, all working together to gain followers for Christ.
Not for the Father, not for false god "Jehovah" of Watchtower.
The Father only accepts those who know Christ as Lord, and never tries to make followers of His own.
Now, your "Jehovah" is very busy about gaining followers of his own, those who will profess his "name."
The god of Watchtower will even try to steal away followers of Christ, something Our Father never would do.
So who is this "god" who seeks followers, who exalts his own name above Jesus, who masquerades as "Father" but is not.?
In the Kingdom of our God, your "Jehovah god" is an interloper, an impostor...a false god who bears much bad fruit.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

Babies and children does not need to be baptized, because they are covered by God's grace and will automatically go to heaven if they die. That is why you hear the phrase "THE INNOCENT", meaning that they have not willingly sinned yet and have done nothing to be punished for. But when they start sinning and know good from evil, then will they need to be baptized to wash away those old sins. A person should never wait to be baptized, because you never know when you will die and then it will be too late. Stay blessed. Amen.

They completely strip the 1st century biblical understanding away. There is a direct correlation of Spirit indwelling and baptism. See below...
    Mark 1:8
I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
    John 1:33
I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
    Acts 1:5
for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
    Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
    Acts 11:16
And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
    1 Corinthians 12:13
For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-Jews or Greeks, slaves or free-and all were made to drink of one Spirit.

Another thing, when you talk about being baptized in the name of the "Father, Son, and holy spirit" and mention "Guarantee of salvation". There is no "Guarantee" of Salvation. (Matthew 24:13). You could just 'Grab the Bull by the horns' and make a 'Once saved, always saved' video, but you won't. Because the disagreement among 'United' Christendom adherents in the comments would be embarrassing. And you wouldn't be able to make the claim that differing opinions in regards to salvation are OK, because that's a "Non-essential".
"This is why they push child baptism". In almost thirty years associating with JW's, I have never seen anyone baptized earlier than their mid teens. In fairness, I think I heard - ONCE - of someone younger than that being baptized. But even if this is more common than I'm aware of, this is not something Christendom wants to be throwing stones at Witnesses over. I myself was "baptized" in a Presbyterian Church as a small child with a sprinkling of water on my head from a font.
To your oft-repeated question "Does baptism save you?" I actually agree with you when you say "no". How could I or any Witness say otherwise when we are so opposed to the wicked 'Once saved, always saved' lie? (The two are inextricably linked) You can be baptized unworthily just like you can take the memorial emblems unworthily (1 Corinthians 11:27). And sadly, many later fall away.

      Hi Matt :)
Regarding baptism ages, while at this time I don't think infant baptism is biblical, Watch Tower does not have a strong ground to stand on to criticize other Christian denominations that practice it. To my knowledge, a person baptized, in most other denominations, as an infant or any other age won't be shunned (at least not in the manner that Watch Tower practices it) by members of that denomination if they decide to one day go to a different denomination or even cease believing in the Bible. If a child, let's say 10 years old, is baptized as a Jehovah's Witness, if he ever does not agree with the teachings of Watch Tower years later, he will be shunned by his believing friends and family and the other members of Jehovah's Witnesses. So the punishment potential is far higher on Watch Tower's side. Also, while infants cannot truly accept the Bible as being true, neither can that be said of anyone who is 6 years old or even (in my opinion) 16 years old (perhaps even higher ages); they also have brains that aren't fully developed and are not deemed in general to take responsibilities in things like voting, drinking alcohol, getting married etc. and I don't think even at late teenager ages are in a state to say genuinely that Watch Tower is where God's favor is with.
For evidence that Watch Tower encourages and has mentioned in positive lights, children and young people being baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses at very young ages, even as early as the age of six years old.
      Here are some examples:
The Watchtower, 1992, March 1, pages 26-27, "Persuing a Goal Set at Six Years of Age", Quote: "In the summer of 1946, I was baptized at the international convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Although I was only six years of age, I was determined to fulfill my dedication to Jehovah. That summer I served as a pioneer for the first time. I remember one morning placing 40 magazines with people seated at The Plaza in San Diego, California. My being tiny and talkative had a lot to do with it, I’m sure."
The Watchtower, October 15, 1996, “Jehovah Answered My Prayers!” Quote: "Even children among Jehovah’s Witnesses are having a share in this work. Consider, for example, a boy named Joel. He symbolized his dedication to Jehovah and was baptized at nine years of age."
Yearbook, 2011, Preaching and Teaching Earth Wide, Quote: "BAPTIZED AT SEVEN. Paola, who lives in western Mexico, is being raised by her grandparents. Her grandmother began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses when Paola was five years old. Paola listened in, and the truth took root in her young heart. Although her grandmother did not progress, Paola began to attend the meetings by herself. She would ask her grandparents to help her get dressed and to help her cross the street to get to the Kingdom Hall. As soon as she learned to read and write, Paola enrolled in the Theocratic Ministry School and became a publisher. Because of her love for Jehovah, she got baptized at the age of seven. When asked why she attends the meetings and preaches so zealously, even without her family’s support, Paola, who is now ten, answers: “I like the talks a lot because they encourage me to keep on studying the Bible and to stay out of trouble. And I preach because I want to teach people what Jehovah is going to do for them in the future and because the Bible can make them happy right now.”"
The Watchtower, 1995, February 15, Dominican Republic-Still Open to Discovery Quote: "Indeed, young people, both those brought up in the truth and others, seem to take their worship of God seriously. For example, Tamar and her sister Keila were both baptized at the age of 10 and entered the full-time pioneer ministry by 11. Wendy Carolina was 12 when she symbolized her dedication by water baptism, and two years later, in 1985, she started regular pioneering. Today she is an effective teacher, still enjoying the full-time ministry. Young Jovanny, baptized at 10 and a regular pioneer at 11, is conducting four home Bible studies. When ten-year-old Rey discovered that a secondhand-book vendor had a booklet published by Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rey begged his mother to buy it for him. He read it from cover to cover. His search for more Bible literature eventually led him to the branch office. Today he is enjoying the full-time service, and his mother is also serving God."
Awake! 2006, August 6, A Child’s Faith Quote: "Dustin wanted to be baptized. So while he lay on a sofa, too weak to sit up, Christian elders considered with him the questions used for baptismal candidates of Jehovah’s Witnesses. On October 16, 2004, at 12 and a half years of age, Dustin was baptized at a circuit assembly."
Yearbook 2002, Worldwide Report, Quote: "In the East African country of Uganda, 12-year-old Kandole would sit quietly and listen attentively while his mother studied the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. In time, the mother lost interest in the study, but the boy missed hearing the Word of God and asked where the Witnesses held their meetings. The following Sunday, he walked the seven miles [11 km] to the Kingdom Hall and after that attended regularly. A pioneer brother began to study the Bible with Kandole, who made fine progress and was baptized at 14 years of age. Now he is 17 and recently became a regular pioneer. His goal is to become a special pioneer. His mother eventually resumed her study and is now a baptized sister. Kandole no longer has to walk to the meetings. Now he has a bicycle, on which he gives his mother a ride to the Kingdom Hall."
The Watchtower, 2006, July 1, Youths, Make It Your Choice to Serve Jehovah, Quote: "Numerous Witnesses around the world feel that their decision to get baptized when they were young helped them greatly. Take as an example a 23-year-old Witness in Western Europe. He recalls that getting baptized at the age of 13 motivated him to be careful not to be swept away by “the desires incidental to youth.” (2 Timothy 2:22) Early on, he set his sights on serving as a full-time minister. Today, he serves happily at a branch office of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Rich blessings await all youths, including you, who choose to serve Jehovah."
JW Broadcasting-March 2017 at the 18 minute mark, "How encouraging it is to see young ones getting baptized... And we sincerely hope that you young ones who are not yet baptized will not hold back from getting baptized as soon as you qualify... Not long ago, it made me very happy to observe a little ten-year-old brother get baptized."
JW Broadcasting-December 2023: 154th Gilead Graduation, at the 17 minute mark, "A brother took his nephew, 13 years old, to visit Bethel. And at the time, the nephew was going through ffamily turmoil to the point that it caused him to lack motivation. So as theyu're touring Bethel ,a Bethelite stopped and took a few minutes to show personal interest. The result? At the very next assembly, the 13 year old got baptized. Two years later, at 15, he started regular pioneering. AT 17 was appointed a ministerial servant. Now he is 19; he put in his application for Bethel. All of this becasue someone stopped and showed personal; interest."
Video Title: Cultivate Qualities That Promote Endurance shows at the beginning part a 12 year old girl wanting to get baptized like her mother did when she was 12. This is supported by her father.
I hope this is useful for you. And I hope that you verify all that I have said and quoted to see if I am being truthful or not.
I was raised in a Jehovah's Witness household myself and still live with my Jehovah's Witness mother and father, brothers and sisters. I have been studying the Bible and Watch Tower's history, doctrines etc. for a bunch of years, and while I am no expert or anything, I personally believe they are not God's channel nor organization. I implore you to look into this as much as you can yourself, and it seems you are in that process already. The fact that you are watching a video that is critical of aspects of your belief system is a good sign that you are concerned with the truth and are willing to look at opposing views. I know how uncomfortable it can be for your belief system to be challenged, but it is very healthy to do it. I ask that you pray that the Holy Spirit guides you into all the truth, and if you are willing to pray for a random commenter on RUclips, perhaps pray that the Holy Spirit guide me as well so that I can be guided from any doctrinal errors that I likely currently hold.

But the truth, as Jesus said will set you free.

If jws have it wrong that means they are following false teachers and are a false religion.
The videos don't show fear they show just how false the governing body teachings are and how they don't like up with what God's word written in the Bible says

Jehovah is not God's name. The following proves what His name really is.
The Following Is Scriptural Proof Who Jesus Really Is And That He Is Much More Than Just The Son Of God.
Paul said in Galatians 1:12 that he was not taught by any man but was taught by Jesus himself which means whatever Paul said was what Jesus told him to say. Paul said in 1 Timothy 3:16,"AND WITHOUT CONTROVERSY GREAT IS THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS, GOD was manifest in the FLESH (Jesus), justified in the SPIRIT, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory."
Paul said in 2 Corinthians 3:17,"Now the LORD IS THAT SPIRIT, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty." Jesus is speaking in Revelation 2:7,"He that has an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT says to the churches...." And Paul said in Ephesians 4:4, "For there is one body, ONE SPIRIT....verse 5 ONE LORD, ONE Faith and ONE BAPTISM."
Paul said in Colossians 2:8-10,"Beware lest any man fool you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 FOR IN HIM DWELLS ALL THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY." Jesus is not just part of the Godhead - Jesus IS the Godhead.
Paul said in Hebrews 1:8,"But unto the SON he said, Thy throne O GOD is forever and ever...." Jesus said in Revelation 21:6-7,"And he said unto me (John) it is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I (Jesus) will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of life freely. 7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his GOD, and he shall be my SON."
Paul said in Titus 2:13, "Looking for that blessed hope, and glorious appearance of the great GOD and our SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST."
1 John 5:20,"And we know that the SON of God is come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his SON Jesus Christ, THIS IS THE TRUE GOD, AND ETERNAL LIFE."
Isaiah 9:6,"For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son (Jesus) is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, ..." Jesus said in Revelation 1:8, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, which was, and is to come, THE ALMIGHTY." Jesus said in Revelation 2:7, "He that has an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT says unto the Churches....."
Jesus said in Mark 16:16, "He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned." Jesus addressed what damned means in Luke 16:19-31, Matthew 13:42, Matthew 25:41, Mark 9:45-46, Revelation 20:15, and Revelation 21:8.
Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not names) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Every time Jesus disciples baptized anyone in water they invoked Jesus name at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16. Peter said in Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men whereby we must be SAVED."
Some say the thief on the cross next to Jesus was not Baptized yet Jesus told him he would be with him that day in Paradise. Jesus had not yet given the COMMANDMENT to be Baptized in His Name until after he rose from the dead and just before he ascended into heaven. The thief or anyone else could not have been Baptized in His Name because they did not know about it. There is not one scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example.
If you are convinced you need to get Baptized in water in Jesus name and get Baptized with the Holy Ghost - which is addressed in Acts 2:4 (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5. Do a search, type in "United Pentecostal Church International", slightly scroll down to just below the red box, and type in your zip code. Then a screen will show a Church nearest you that will do that.
If you do the above you will be making SURE your name is written in the Lamb's Book Of Life.
Jesus said in John 10:27,"My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."
