- Welcome back and join me on this hazy departure from Newark Liberty International Airport. We’re headed to beautiful Southern California, San Diego to be exact. Our flight was oversold according to the crew, luckily we weren’t adversely affected by this. With that being said our Captain told us the aircraft was close to the Maximum Takeoff Weight, which makes sense why we departed using the full-length of Runway 22R instead of the usual taxiway “whiskey” intersection. We are sat in Row 7 which is Economy Plus, this row is also the bulkhead. The legroom was exceptional and the seat was comfortable enough for a 5 hour flight. This aircraft had space for carry-on bags to be stored under the partition in-front, however not all of United’s 737’s are created equal. So with that being said do not count on under-seat storage in the bulkhead seats on the 737 fleet. Thanks for watching and enjoy our full 4K HD departure from Newark all the way up to 10,000ft. Takeoff Roll begins at 7:15

I really love the friendliest airline around the world. I love United Airlines!
Perspective.. the MD-80 was the first plane I flew on.. this thing is insane. Very powerful takeoff. 🛫
I too was surprised that being close to MTOW that we were climbing as well as we were. The 737 is always a fun bird in my opinion, even the Max which I’ll have a video on very soon. I am jealous though! The closest thing to the MD-80 I’ve flown on was the 717 with Hawaiian back in 2016, nothing beats the classic Maddog! Thanks for watching!
I just love the take off to the south with the immediate left and right turns
Probably the main reason I love launching from the 22’s, zooming over the turnpike with the heavy turns is always fun and visually satisfying! Thanks for watching!
I remember I took this exact plane to Santiago and we took off from 22L and it basically hit me with that 90 degree turn to the right 😂
The engine on this bird sounds so nice. It's like music to my ears. Powerful but smooth take off.🙂
Indeed it is, the initial spool up was exciting for sure. Definitely pushed into the seat on this one.
this engine sound is so calming
7:30 The pilot knew that bro was gonna have a race with the E-175 landing 😂😎
Tomorrow morning, I'll have this experience with United Airlines.
@@HopkinsTheMovie I hope you have a pleasant and safe journey. Thanks for stopping by!

Awesome awesome quality vlog and takeoff love that engine wing view
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
Cool seeing that one come in while other is taking off. Also, I used United on my first flight so Om impartial to United.
7:40 It’s a race!
Indeed! That E175 almost had us…but we won haha. Definitely a cool feat of having parallel runways!
I just left Newark airport on Sunday coming back to Cleveland.
Will be flying is of these to Vegas in a couple months. Last time I flew in a 737, it was a 737-200 from Los Angeles in 1986. 😮
That is awesome, I could only imagine flying on such a classic.
@@UNITED38Heavy It scared me because the engines looked too small! I enjoyed the DC-10 and the 727.
Why do 737 rattle noise during rotation
Pretty normal to hear some rattling or vibration, nothing unsafe. It’s common on the 747 as well, and other aircraft.
When the plane rotates the wheels are still spinning causing the vibration. This is normal and usually stops.
The airbus Hydraulic pumps Bark like a dog shortly after takeoff
you are correct!!!! @@davidl7942
Love that PTU sound @@Brian-rn2wx
It's kinda crazy we're willing to risk falling from 37,000 feet just to get somewhere a lot faster. 😮
Yet we risk even more while driving to the airport!
No risk, no reward
