As an Economy Traveller, I have flown in both the Dreamliner and Airbus A350 (& btw, A380) and having flown several times with both, in approximately the same locations towards the rear of each aircraft, my perception is the A350 is more comfortable (but that may be due to Airline specifics) but the A350 has less wind noise at cruise altitude compared to the Dreamliner. To prove a point for myself, I measured the cabin noise in both cases using a NIOSH Sound Level Meter App on my iPhone which confirmed my perception that the A350 is the quieter of the two aircraft. Cheers!
@@FLIGAVIA No objection to to the Dreamliner at all, just a preference for the A350 - for me the quietness is critical for getting to sleep on a long journey (typically between Europe and Asia). In that respect, the A380 is better than both by a long way.
Maximum cruise altitude A350 also FL430 or to be exactly 43,100 ft to accommodate flying in Meters of Flight level in China Airspace. I’m so glad to have a chance to fly Airbus A350-900.
It is my understating that the A350 has a lower purchase price! I have flown on both and must say I much prefer the A350 flying experience. The bonus is it’s not a Boeing! I no longer trust Boeing.
The A350 particularly the 1000 variant is a stunning aircraft, offers passengers a fantastic experience, the 787 is certainly lacking behind in terms of comfort, range and reliability.
Unfortunately for Boeing, now that some routes now need to avoid Russian airspace, the 787s reduced range has become an issue. Some airlines are now having to choose the A350 over the 787. I am surprised that we haven't seen an extended range 787 to accommodate the new realities. Or is it that their development resources are tied up elsewhere?
Excellent video once again dude. I have never flown with A350 so I don’t have any thoughts about this aircraft. But i have flown with United’s 787-9 twice from Athens to Newark and back to Athens and according to my view is the best aircraft ever. I really felt my respiratory system so healthy during the flight while wing flex is something beyond incredible. Boeing did such a great job when designed the Dreamliner pushing Airbus to make its rival response. Greetings from Greece. 🇬🇷🇺🇸
The best widebody jet for economy class passengers in my experience of all the ones still in widespread operation is the A380 by a big margin. The A350 is second best and the 787 third. The A330 is fourth and a long way behind in last place the the current 777. Hopefully the new 777x will be better for passenger comfort.
They don't compete. The A350 completes with the 777X and the 787 competes with the A330ceo/neo. You may as well do a comparison between the A380 and the 717.
@@FLIGAVIA You should do a video on Qantas' new A350-1000ULR 'Sunrise' aircraft with the extra fuel tank and 238 passenger limit that will fly the longest routes in the world such as SYD/MEL to LAX/LHR in early 2026.
Comparing the flat airplane cost between the two doesn't make sense, since the A350 carries more stuff. You could break it down in costs per seat, or just per cargo kg, since an economy seat is the least profitable contributor on the flight.
Sounds exciting. Looking fwd to these aircraft. Brought up with an appreciation of flying. Dad’s apprenticeship years ago was with Qantas. At 68, lost count of the number of flights in my life. 👏🇦🇺
i'M NOT GOING TO ARGUE, A350 every time, Best airliner bar none! 787 questionable build as with all Boeing products under their present management. I can now book through a travel agency now that gives me the option of what Aircraft I want to fly on. Need I say more? Dreamliner? That has undoubtably the wrong name now- to many connotations
Both great aircraft & not true direct competitors so there`s room for both to thrive & this is exacly what we see. B787 has sold better but A350 was later to market & is gaining ground. These two aircraft will be around for very many years to come particularly if you factor Neo`s for each in the not too distant future....you can`t better than these two.
Never flown an A350 but like the Boeing family of jets. Really like the 787-9 for long haul, very comfortable. My understanding of the shorter range on the 787-10 is that it need different wings / engines which kind of defeats Boeings uniformity between the models? 11:08
At 0:58 you say that the A350 XWB consists of a composite fuselage, paired with metal wings. But the re-invented A350 (the "XWB" extension was meanwhile seemingly dropped by Airbus marketing) is all-composite:
I don’t have utter truth about the statement, but Prosody; the intonation is not real, the lapse between word and word, there’re regular unnatural lapses. It’s not a pejorative comment just a feeling. But I real think that voice is artificial. I am not a bot. I’ ve listened a lot CHATGPT and there’re certain common patterns.
@@cesarchoya6961 I agree with you, for instance it pronounces mach as match not mark and its annoying how it keeps calling the A350 as the A350 XWB which was the name Airbus called it on initially proposing it. It is now just called the A350.Together with the cutting and pasting audio it really is not worth listening to.
The Dreamliner is a good plane. But Boeing put a very aggressive pricing tag in the first years. Then shit happened. With repetitive quality issues. And until now, despite very impressive high sales, the B787 is not yet profitable. While the A350 will make profit from this year.
You said that emirates has ordered 205 of the new 777 but since that was made emirates has ordered other aircraft instead including the A350-900 ultra long range and emirates is keeping a lot of the newer A380S and QATAR airways has done the same thing. So in fact the order the 777-900 is most likely to be only 100 planes in total
FLIG AVIA's use of this really cheap and cheesy "robo voice" (computer generated) tells us that FLIG does not respect its viewers. Using an AI voice instead of a human narrator is like showing a middle finger to viewers. That is a shame, because the content here is really great. Travelled several times in both.
A350 every time - quieter and more spacious.
Thanks a lot for your helpful sharing

Only in Airbus we trust🥰❤️😍
love A350 ✈✈✈
787 silent but cramped with airline seat config. A350 all the way!
I love your cmt
Not that quiet..
Try JAL with their 2-4-2 seating, what the 787 as originally designed for.
787 terribly cramped! Absolutely beaten by the fantastic A350!
thanks for sharing
A350 for me, comfort.
I feel the same
As a passenger I prefer the 787 over A350. The cabin design of the 787 with its huge windows are simply amazing
Yes, thanks for sharing, many people like it too
I prefer the A350. It is more spacious and seems to be equally as quiet.

A350 for the crown

1:00 is wrong. The A350 does not have metal wings. They are fully cabon composite. The A330NEO has new shaped metal wings

I recently flew the 350 on one leg and the 787 on the return leg, with same seat number on both legs. For me the 350 was quieter and more comfortable.

Boeing is struggling enough just trying to get their shit together with the planes they currently have let alone trying to modify any of them.

Unfair match up. The A350 slaughters the 787 so badly that the referee wouldn't allow it. It would be carnage.

A350 maybe
