I am 62 and have always had very dark circles under my eyes. I have tried so many products with little success in concealing them. No one has ever told me that I should try a peach colored concealer. I ordered one of the products on your list and it works great! Now, if I can just hide the wrinkles too! ;) Thank you !!!
Truly fabulous. Now that I'm over 50 my .makeup application needs to change.iv been piling it on and my face looks terrible.thanks for these fantastic tips iv been following them daily and it makes a massive difference to my face and texture.
I also use concealer On the corner of my lips. As we age the corners tend to droop. By using this technique, I have a more youthful lip. I also slightly overdraw the lip as well to get a full affect.
I'm so glad you made this video! I just turned 50 last month & use a tiny bit in the corner of the eyes & small triangle to my cheeks to cover the rosacea that's it. I believe less is more and don't use powder or contour. I love the 70's vintage makeup look with mascara, liquid blush, lipstick/gloss & a liquid eye shadow. You have gorgeous skin : )♥
What a BEAUTIFUL,STUNNING WOMAN OMG!!!! Lol! I´m on my 40's but your 50's advices are better than "younger" 20's years old wannabe´s ones! Love your channel. The way you explain & your kindness it´s WAY superior than most of "popular" beauty guru´s! Bless!
Thank so so much for this video! I have stayed away from concealer because I didn’t know how to apply it properly. I count on you for “age appropriate” make up tips that are flattering.
Great, you highlight exactly where I do. I used to only do under the eyes but at 51 I’ve had to change that up a bit but it’s worth the extra effort 😁💓
Your videos are very helpful especially the fit me transulcent powder over foundation keeps the shine away and the hot flushes. But I have never found a concealer that works to cover under eye circles and slight bags, so I tried My Perfect eyes and this works so is easier for me.
Just found your amazing channel! Such a bounty of wonderful videos for us 50+ women! Thank you :). Can you tell me what shade of the TooFaced Concealer you are using? My skin tone is very similar to yours. I rarely wear foundation, so would the concealer still look good and not settle into fine lines without foundation underneath? Does the colorless powder not dry the skin and make the lines more noticeable? Thank you :)
Thanks for these tips. I am 59 and tried the triangle look because my under eye area has some puffiness and I thought using a lot of concealer would hide them. It was a total disaster! I had to remove everything because it amplified every line under my eyes! Since then, I have not used any concealer under my eyes. I may try your tips to see if that helps.
I am so glad to have found your page. I am nearing 50 yrs of age, and I guess I am so pleased to see that beauty does not die at 50! I appreciate that you are sharing what you learned in class, thank you! Also, I appreciate the time you have taken to put the products that you use down below, and where to find them in different countries. I am in the United States. I am beginning to endure the hot flashes. I love glamorous looks! But I have realized my two best friends besides a fan, have been Retin A and moisturizer these days 😂. Kind Regards, I look forward to watching your channel.
Just discovered this channel last night. OMG, this is so great. Thank you so much. I'm putting into practice many of the things you have demonstrated on the various videos I've watched. What do you recommend to camouflage, the fatty pads we get under our eyes and the sagging jowls? Working on getting rid of the "RBF". Would love to see videos on these topics as well. Thanks in advance.
I've found contouring to help that. With this technique, you REALLY have to blend! I take the darker contour color straight along the jawline being careful especially to go straight across the jowls. Then I take that color and do slight elongated triangles where your arteries run on either side of your trachea (Adam's apple Area) where it's naturally a tiny bit shadowed - Blend, blend, blend! Then, on the top of your jawline, use a matte highlight with tge same straight line, just on the opposite side and blend up. It doesn't make them completely invisible, but it definitely makes them less noticeable. 😊
Helaine Davish i have had this ( genetics) for ages. Even a lower face lift won’t change it, will never ever have a chiseled or defined neck, jawline. On top of that, my head is large and my neck short. It sucks because as you say, you look easily tired and worn out. I spend a lot of money and time on my hair, and I go very intense on my eye makeup, in a non-hard way, went to a pro for brow shaping and advice. I keep my lip color done but paler and frostier. I think it takes attention to my upper face. Bangs show less of the upper part of my face so side swept bangs if any. Wear v necks, avoid crew neck and choker or short neck sales. For me, the jury is still out on earrings, some seem to draw the eye right to my bad area. This would fall into the illusion category, bringing attention to the assets, not the liabilities.
Wonderful tips thank you. I've gotten away without concealer until now (52) . But all of a sudden the colour below my eyes has really changed so boy do I need it now ??? Getting it to stay out of my fine lines is so difficult. Now I can do it right !!! You are a star. Keep shining beautiful lady ♡♡♡
Always great information Schellea. Please do more video's on styling your gorgeous hair! I'm thinking of cutting mine 🤔 but then I watch one of your video's and I change my mind! So beautiful Schellea! Just because were 50ish doesn't mean we cant pull it off!
Thank you Schellea. Very helpful. Will try eye corners. Do you reccomend highlighting drooping eyelids at the outer corner of my eyes? Its a problem area for me.
Hi Schellea. Thanks for some great tips. Btw, on recommendation from one of yr videos, I’ve just bought the rcma 5 piece pallet and the thinner liquid. It’s fantastic. The 5 shades with wax base can not only be used as foundation, but also concealer. I can’t thank you enough for this recommendation. It’s like skin. Only the tiniest amount on back of yr hand, and using yr fingers to warm it up, glides on like nothing I’ve ever used. So natural looking.I think I’ll get their colourless powder too. Sending you sunshine from Qld 😊🌞🍹🌺xx
Hi Tracey Higgins! Im so happy you love the RCMA! Its so good, I get excited every time I use it...Its hard to get that feeling across on camera...Thanks for letting me know...Have a great weekend 💕
Good Day Sunshine! It was you who brought the triangle to me and I now use it every day. I have horrendous black circles under my eyes from many sleepless night with babies and general 50 years if intermittent stress. MAC makeup makes this sick incredible concealer called 24Hour Concealer. It is truly amazing. I set it with their fairly light powder and never touch it up all day. Try and see if you like as well. God bless! LA.
Wondering this also. I use a L’Oreal green tinted primer on my nose bc of redness and also on some small capillaries on my chin. I like it, but I am not sure if it is the best way to go.
I so agree that less is best after 50. Soft makeup choices when you're mature (and young!) looks so much more elegant imo. I did try the drag style makeup that younger girls are using these days and it put at least another 10 yrs on my face... not a look I was going for! lol Lately I've just been spot concealing (tiny amounts on a tiny brush) over a tinted sunscreen with a drop of my favourite foundation... it looks really natural, youthful and glowy. Along with your great tip of not completely lining my lips my makeup results are really soft and pretty :)
I’m in my 30s and lately I feel I can’t wear make up as it seems to age me my eyes are very sunken and I’m very pale but your sound advice makes sense I’ll try it next time I apply make up.
I have allergies and, therefore, puffy bags under my eyes. I don't want to make them lighter and bring them forward. I haven't mastered it yet, but Wayne Goss says to try to lighten the shadow under the bag to even out the color and make it look flatter.
Hi Lydia Johnson! Yes, sandwich the puffy part with light and conceal the raised skin with same color...Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕
I absolutely love your videos, any tips on olive complexion with very dark circles due to ethnicity, I'm 100 percent European but these dark circles have been with me since puberty...
Thanks beautiful Beth McCracken! Have you tried the Derma color? Rae Morris said she used this product on all her darker skin tones and IMO she is the best of the best...Have an amazing day ❤️
No I haven't but I will definitely try the product now, I've been out of the sun for 15 years, I'm planning on having an IPL / laser treatment this winter, thank you so much you're so beautiful inside and out ❤️
Greetings Schellea! If I don't wear foundation can I still wear concealer? Basically I don't wear makeup but would like to start wearing some, especially as I am older and see areas that are not very attractive. Any suggestions? Should I try Kroylon palette to find a good color? Also any recommendations for foundation for beginners would be welcome. (I'm going now to watch your foundation video) Thank you so very much! Smiles & Hugs to you ;-) (Enjoy you and your channel!!)
Great question D. H.! Yes you can definitely wear concealer on its own, just make sure that it is very well blended...That alone will make a big difference for you...Yes to the Kroylan palette, that way you can make the perfect shade for your skin and check out the foundation video....Grab some foundation samples if you can before spending your money and practice buffing and blending your foundation so you can achieve a light and flawless look...Have a beautiful day 🌸
What is the color of the Too Faced Born this Way Concealer used? The URL that was provided did not work. Thank you so much for your channel.... I love it !
Your skin always looks soooooo amazing!!!! Another great video....I’ve tried the triangle under my eyes but it doesn’t always blend for natural look...not for daytime look anyway ....I’m with you on the concealer on the bumps...makes such a difference 🥰😍😍
As I have just discovered your channel in the past month, I am checking out all your tips on so many of your videos. Thank you for all you do all your hard work and research to help all of us out there in your channel land LOL great job :-)
Love your videos and tips! Have you ever tried it cosmetics? I love their concealer and bye bye lines foundation, looks great on mature skin. Enjoy your weekend. 💜
Can you advise please, I have an olive complexion but I also have vitiligo on my face around my mouth and eyes, because it’s white and the rest of my face is olive I find it almost impossible to conceal the two different areas where the white joins the olive what do you recommend, I’ve tried doing dark on the white and the whit on the dark makes me look washed out I’d attach a photo but it won’t let me
Hi Sweet friend , love this vid and just shared it with a few friends.I recently bought the Tarte CC corrector in the small square box it comes in two colors and its a bit sticky but in the best way , it works perfectly for my blue/lavender under eye inner corner and tiny vein discoloations.I use a very small amount and the use my concealor over if i need it in other areas to brighten up.Thank you for sharing with all of us Schell....muha!!! Thought of you yesterday when i grabbed my lipgloss i won from one of your giveaways, my lips looked happy in the store! lol . Still praticing my inner body smile (O: your cute! Have a good day.
I think that you should try to include products for people with dark skin if possible. Maybe you have a friend who is dark and could help and/or model for you.
Your makeup technique videos are great, but if I don't think the peach lipstick color your're wearing is very flattering on you...it washes you out. I think a pink shade or mauve shade would be much more flattering on you! :)
I do a very modified "triangle" under my eyes. I do a tiny bit of color correction on the purple circles around my eye sockets with a slightly orangish tan. Then, I brighten that area along with a slight bit in the highlight (triangle) area and my nose with Maybelline Age Rewind concealer in the Neutralizer shade. I blend it out with a damp beauty blender and then I bounce just a little Air Spun loose powder by Coty over that area with the same beauty blender before it can crease for a very modified "bake". I'm careful to keep all of these products down away from my lash line where the wrinkles are, I also make sure that when I blend the areas together that I LIGHTLY brush from the inner corner of my eye in a downward, diagonal motion and do not push up to pack it into the wrinkles. I give it a once more pat with the damp blender to make sure it's not looking too dry or powdery and quickly use a setting spray before it can crease. Alternatively, for an everyday look, I just put a tiny bit of concealer along the purple circles, blend a tad, using the least product possible and go about my way. A full on highlighting triangle or bake is out of the question if I don't want to accentuate my fine lines and look like my makeup is caked on.
Thanks for the concealer tips. These are so helpful. The undereye area is the one that really ages my face. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs ..... Sherry
I have struggled with buying a few different types and shades of concealer and highlighter. I suffer with iron deficiency and find some days I have dark marks under my eyes. I do not do the triangle but just along the sides of my nose and half way along under my eyes. Find some days I am using more product as you can still see the hint under the concealer. I always tap concealer on as it covers better. Any tips for those of use with thinning eye lashes? Find now I cannot use an eyelash curler as my lashes have become shorter and thinner. Thanks love your videos
Black Jamaican castor oil works great for my eyebrows!! Did some on my eyelashes & wow! they were noticeably longer in 2 weeks! But I can't have it on long as it irritated my sensitive eyes. Get 100% organic food grade hexene free. Put some on before I bed and sleep with it on. Good luck!! 👁
Thanks for watching Meisha Black! I tried revitalise and it really worked...I have stopped using it and they have gone back to normal...here is the video...ruclips.net/video/LyTIspJDdmA/видео.html 🌸
Thank you for your Tipps, until now i couldnt make Peace between my wrinkles and concealer and Powder makes me Look much elder and dry.. Greetings from Berlin Germany ☺️
After concealer and powder, use a setting spray (I use the urban decay chill) on a beauty blender and pat it everywhere you've had to set with powder - then spray it all over your face and lightly with the fat end of beauty blender , just bounce it all in- you will need to maybe respray during the day but this works!!! No cakey or dry- I'm so dry it's the only way I can set the powder so it won't crease and then look all dry and cakey!!! ❤❤
Please do eyebrow video. Tips for even appropriate video for older women, thinning, lightening, to look even as compared to higher or lower eyebrows. Also mention what types of eyeshadow that older woman can wear age appropriate. Thank you!
Thank you for all your videos, I find them really helpful. I’m not fifty yet, but I like to watch your channel as I find it very useful. Also, you are such a beautiful and lovely lady, God bless you .
I'm confused. I watch all your videos but I don't know which one to choose. No mascara on the lower lid? No liner on the lower lid? But most of the videos have lower liner lids and mascara?
Love watching your tips yet I seem to fail lol I hope to get better at it but I watch you and try copying yet for some reason, I look terrible 😂 thanks Bella I’ll try some new products perhaps that’s a problem. 😊🙏🏽💜
Hi Shellea, I have really dark purple circles under my eyes. no matter how much or less concealer I use my eyes always have the purple color. I was told to use a color corrector as well. What would you recommend?
Hi kellie Cameron! If you apply a small amount of green corrector on top of the purple, then apply your skin toned concealer on top of that, I think you will get a great result...Have a great weekend 💕
The Pixi Corrector is an inexpensive option and works really well. It's a cream form. I apply a SMALL amount using a brush (like a lip brush) and then blend out. Apply concealer over top. Another good option is the Giorgio Armani corrector. It comes in two shades (I use the No.1). It's a liquid form. Once again, you only need a tiny amount. Both are excellent and work equally well in my opinion.
@@kellcameron1967 If you live in the U.S., you can find it at Target. Otherwise, go to the Pixi website to see if there's somewhere in your area where you can buy it.
Thanks Diana Daughter of the Most High God! Yes, I wear a different color every week BUT I will wear pink so you can all be happy...Have a fabulous day 🌸
Oh thank you so much for this video. This is so true about the pigment and needing less product. I need to invest in the new concealers that you recommend😊👍
Shell B, I have the same problem and regular eye drops were useless for me. Somebody recommended this Japanese brand - Rohto, I ordered drops directly from Japan, Amazon also sells them. Work great. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPZZ5NS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You have taught me so much. I bought the Kryolean foundation palette, applied the sheering out and blending in techniques. My daughter and I have danced along to your videos. Thank you x
That is the weirdest lipstick ever! She wears it all the time... I think she makes her eyes more blue but I can't stop looking at the orange lips...On my phone it looks flourescent..

So how do we know the colors you are using will match our skin tone?
Just curious, which product do you use for "age spots". Gosh I hate that word!
So we shouldn't be taking the concealer down to a triangle, just under the eye in the socket area, where the skin is thin? Right?

Where can I buy the wax concealer?
Would if your skin is already so pale that it is hard to find a concealer 2 shades lighter?
As you get older you get those big age spots, what is the best way to cover those?
She used a wax based concealer for that @2:44. Link is listed in the description 😉👍
thsnks your fun! i would like to mention, you would look amazing as a warm brunette with your eyes, and bangs would suit you!! i will use your tips!
Can you advise please, I have an olive complexion but I also have vitiligo on my face around my mouth and eyes, because it’s white and the rest of my face is olive I find it almost impossible to conceal the two different areas where the white joins the olive what do you recommend, I’ve tried doing dark on the white and the whit on the dark makes me look washed out
I’d attach a photo but it won’t let me
I luv watching how gentle Rae Morris and Lisa Eldridge apply makeup to their models.

Hi Beautiful Tully Soulliere! I love that you are enjoying the Tarte...Have an amazing week ahead ❤️
I think that you should try to include products for people with dark skin if possible. Maybe you have a friend who is dark and could help and/or model for you.
Thanks for your suggestion Suzette Fam Espinosa Piña! Have a beautiful day 🌸
Very helpful.
Thanks for sharing your tips with us Kim McNeill! Have a great day 🌹
Hi can you tell me what brush you used to put the concealer on please?
Hi The Happy human! IT cosmetics concealer brush...Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕

Im so happy you enjoyed the video Sherry Reis Thanks for taking the time to comment ❤️

Hi Mina EM! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕
@@dorisaponte670 No, about wrinkles, very dry skin from Nature and DARK inner eyes

Thank you!

Lol Katalina Oliveira-Weatherman! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great day 💕
I'm confused. I watch all your videos but I don't know which one to choose. No mascara on the lower lid? No liner on the lower lid? But most of the videos have lower liner lids and mascara?
What brand names do you recommend ? I tried physicians formula and my eyes get irritated:(
Love watching your tips yet I seem to fail lol I hope to get better at it but I watch you and try copying yet for some reason, I look terrible 😂 thanks Bella I’ll try some new products perhaps that’s a problem. 😊🙏🏽💜
Hi Shellea, I have really dark purple circles under my eyes. no matter how much or less concealer I use my eyes always have the purple color. I was told to use a color corrector as well. What would you recommend?
Peachy pink concealer works great.
@@michellekelly2937 Hi Michele, where can i get Pixi Corrector?
@@kellcameron1967 If you live in the U.S., you can find it at Target. Otherwise, go to the Pixi website to see if there's somewhere in your area where you can buy it.
Excellent tips!! By the way, can I ask of you ever wear any other color on your lips??
Thanks Diana Daughter of the Most High God! Yes, I wear a different color every week BUT I will wear pink so you can all be happy...Have a fabulous day 🌸
Not many women could pull off that colour!
Oh thank you so much for this video. This is so true about the pigment and needing less product. I need to invest in the new concealers that you recommend😊👍
Hi Jennifer H! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕
Do you have any suggestions for red eyes? Just plain eye drops dont seem to last.
Shell B, I have the same problem and regular eye drops were useless for me. Somebody recommended this Japanese brand - Rohto, I ordered drops directly from Japan, Amazon also sells them. Work great. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPZZ5NS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@valerian.6389 wow thanks!! I have terrible dry eye! I have been doing very warm wet compresses on my eyes morning 🌄 and night for around 20 min. Seems to help .. And is wonderfully. Relaxing! I bought a heated eye mask fuzzy pink & relaxing but I like way hot & wet much better. Maybe it melts oils that clog the tear ducts!💛✨
Your beautiful!! Thank you for the tips. I love your channel ❤️.
Thanks Teri Marie! Have an amazing weekend ❤️

I love your videos! Can you wear a lipstick that has just a tad more pink tone to it? I think you'd look amazing!
That is the weirdest lipstick ever! She wears it all the time... I think she makes her eyes more blue but I can't stop looking at the orange lips...On my phone it looks flourescent..
@@miettelund84 It is an odd color & if that's what she likes...that's ok : ) I just think I'd like to see a pinkish tone....
I agree on the pink!!🌺 Orange reminds me of the 70s. But !!! when you are THAT GORGEOUS a bit of orange lip- if it's your fave- is a fashion choice!!💛✨
hate this lipstick
