motogp bikes have a lot higher engine compression ratio than road bikes, and they have no battery and starter. and they have a slippercluch so thats why they have to start the bike in a higher gear. and that desmodici have no problems being reved like that. thats how a motogp rider have to do, to get the engine warm.

@Bernd DasBrot it's strong enough to kick start the bike, but gp bike doesn't have a build in starter motor, because starter motor mean more gears that connected to the engine internal like crank shaft or some bike connect the starter motor to clutch, and that means the engine will be hampered by that, even if that not significant

it employs desmodromic valve actuation..cancelling out valve float..thats why the Ducati revs so high
