Someone in the comments mentioned about if the 2 strokes were allowed 990cc’s. Can you imagine that kind of power? Certainly 300bhp and a huge torque advantage

2 stroke has more power, NSR 200bhp with 500 cc engine, RC211V 240bhp with 990 cc....double engine. Which will be more power full if also NSR had 990 cc engine ?

Its not just about power 4strokes today are hard to beat expecially in terms of efficiency and reliability,and the can accelerate 0-60 in just 2seconds

In low RPM 2 strokes are pretty rubbish. Thats the advantage of the 4 strokes in the corner. I own a 4 stroke Kawasaki Ninja 650 and a Honda NSR 125 jc22. The Kawa has Power from the beginning. The Honda needs high RPM to get her power because they need to build up exaust pressure. I tested with some other 125 four strokes. On a straight they havent any chance against the two strokes. In the corner it's something different.

well NSR500 has 400 hp / litre so I can imagine how insane 990cc version would be :D

I prefer 2 stroke than 4 stroke
2 strokes more lighter, easier to maintained, and fast low to high rpm speed build
the only downside of 2strokes are emisions and oil fuel mix and they dont have good mileage compared to 4strokes
