Same here. I actually wrote a song with the same concept except it was called "I Don't Need You." The song was written in the way that you'd think it's about someone breaking up with their partner and then at the end, it's revealed I'm quitting smoking. Now it feels like if I promote the song, it's just copying an idea because Logic's more known.. but the song itself was my way of putting smoking to bed once and for all.

I've been listening to Logic since his Young Sinatra mix tape came out, and now he's living his dream, he's a true lyrical genius, Nikki was a masterpiece song, it's my favorite on Under Pressure! I mean it took me 2 or 3 listens to understand and know he's talking about cigarettes in the song, when he said "even though you turn my lungs black" I thought smoke, and then he's says "I use to know this shorty that go by the of name of marry jane, I use to fuck back when I didn't know a thing" then you think what's one of the most things people do after sex? But when I feel like listening to something that take's me to a state of that time of the golden age of rap or to know we are still around good music or real lyricist's I just bump a song by logic.And also the state he was in through the process of living around violence and drug's and overcoming all that came at him is amazing. I think you'd find that most rappers think of themselves as story tellers, the music they make is supposed to tell a story that you can get into without actually doing any of it. I'm sure he's never killed any one just like any other yet lyrics referencing killing people are often used, similar to drug use and so on.
