How To Make A Desk With 1 Sheet Of Plywood | Easy Woodworking Project
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 17 окт 2024
- In this week’s video, we show how we made a desk from one sheet of plywood! The entire desk cost us under $75 to make and features a built-in wireless charger, cable management, and a slick modern look. With everything going on in the world, we are spending much more time in our home office, so it was time for a renovation. I am super excited to have a desk set up that will help with productivity and gaming while being cheap and easy to build.

Literally pulled an all-nighter to get this one out, so I apologize if any video mistakes slipped through.... I had no willpower to watch it over again haha. New video is coming out Wednesday of a shop tour! Super excited to be working with Ariat and hope you all enjoy the content they sponsor through the end of the year:) I'll try to get a giveaway together for you all, so comment below what boots you'd like to get and I'll do my best to make them a part of the giveaway! Thanks again for all the love and support. See you guys Wednesday!
Made it!
the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.
Made it. Appreciated that you showed your struggle with the charger. If people have plans to use those it gives them a better chance to succeed by seeing what didn't work right away for you.
Oh things mess up alll the time! Trying to show more and more of that because we know how much people put making, or anything, to the side because they see how “perfect” or “easy” someone makes it seem. If we filmed everything and put it together it would be sooooo long. So in that sense, we do have to cut a lot out, but we have been loving adding in bits here and there! Thanks so much!
Guys, have to be honest with you here. Loved it! Keep going! Don't give up. Go, go, go!
I made it to the end and loved every minute-even the sponsorship commercials! 😉
I would like to recommend contacting your local teachers that teach woodwork and offer to be a guest speaker. Real world is so important to our students. I would love to see you find the passion to become a teacher and teach our future generations an appreciation for working with wood. I did make it to the end because you make good content that I can’t do.👍
That's a great idea! I'll see what I can do:)
I made it to the end.
I like your method of tagging the tools you are using, advertising without getting in the way of the work.

Thank you so much for watching!!
I made it to the end. You guys rock. Very well done.
Thank you!
I enjoy all your project builds 👍👍👍✌✌🔨🔨🔨
Thanks John🙏🏼🙏🏼
I made one today based on your design. However, I don't have the fast screws and the drill bit. What are the alternative types of screws i can use to secure the legs? Thoughts?
You can really use any type of wood screw. These just are nice because the bit is the perfect size to make the screws flush.
Made it to the end! Awesome desk guys.
You're the best!
Made it to the end! That table is amazing!
I made it to the end! Loved the desk, too!
Thank you✌🏻✌🏻

I wasn’t in the market for a new desk, but this build might have inspired me. Love the design!
Glad you like it! You should totally build one :)
Great video nice desk and yes I made it to the end.
Awesome! Thank you!
To the end, thanks for video.
Thank you!
I made it to the end. As it seems that my home office is going to be used for the rest of the year and possibly into the next, I was interested in the main content. As someone who lives in Alaska and likes to hike (nothing as challenging as what you did....kids are usually hiking the trails I'm on) I was curious about the boots.
PS--they should be very pleased with you. They are now out of stock of all of those boots except the size 8D. :)
Ooo Alaska 😍😍 Yea these boots would be great for your hiking ventures!
Made it to the end. Great video! Content rich! Keep em coming!
And subbed 👍
Awesome thank you so much!!
made it to the end
this video is soooo sick!!!
Thanks so much!
Made it! Nice to hear that the Ariat boots work that well too. Impressive.
Sweet! Yea I was pretty blown away. They are more comfortable and stiffer than every boot I have used at that price point. Stiffness is essential in technical terrain, but usually isn't very comfortable walking long distance. I have a pair of $650 Scarpa boots that are a bit stiffer and more waterproof, but not even close when it comes to comfort.... and price point. Plus I can't where those boots anywhere else.... not really two boots I would ever compare, but they were the other boots I would've taken up that trail, so in this case I'm comparing.
I made it to the end. Love the build
Thanks David!
Made it to the end, then bought the plans and made the desk.
Curious since you said you didn't glue the legs. We are getting a little side to side racking, but attached the legs with wood screws. Would the fast caps prevent this? Was thinking of putting a couple of 45s on the back, since it sits against the wall, but if the screws could fix it, I'd go that way.
Hmm not sure if the screws would help that much. I would suggest a board between the legs on the back either in the middle or close to the ground. You could even cut a recess in the legs that's 3/4" and have the board sit flush. When I initially designed the desk, I had this in there, but then mine worked without it so I excluded it. You could also use a piece of 1/8" thick aluminum maybe 1-1/2" wide to go between the legs for a sleek modern look. Let me know how it goes! Feel free to email us anytime you have questions:) Team@woodbrew.tv
Woodbrew Thanks for the quick reply. Going to do the staining next weekend, so I’ll add the support then. Smooth build and great plans. Keep it up, guys. 👍🏻
I made it to the end!
Yay!!
I made it to the end. Great project
Thanks Robert!
This is so freaking helpful. Thank you.
Watched all the way through. Love the desk design.
Thank you!
I made it to the end and really love your content! You guys are a cute couple
I made it to the end! Cool video. Keep up the good work.
Yay!! Thanks!
Made it to the end 😀
Awesome!
I really like this desk, I've wanted to build my own as well, but I prefer a more rustic design with softer corners or live edge look. Do you have any ideas or videos on something like that or know where I might find plans?
We don't have any videos for the rustic style, but I'm sure you can find a design on www.instructables.com ! You could do a quick RUclips search for something that fits your style too. There's so many live edge tables out there!
Great table and video 🙂. Made it to the end
You're awesome! Thanks!
Great job!
Thanks!
Made it to the end - As always!
Thanks Alex:)
Very well made
Glad you liked it!
Made it to the end, great project guys keep up the good work.
Awesome! Thank you!
Definitely going to be using this as the base for my project. I am so happy that you put this video together. Thank you!
I made it to the end - love the desk. I am trying to design one that has lift up storage, included power and pop up lamps so I can have a clean desktop with just my monitor if I am using it for modelling, drawing and so on. At the moment I am working from home and my current desk looks like an average flat surface in an op shop (covered in all manner of crap). You vid gave me some ideas so thanks!
That desk sounds awesome!!
@@Woodbrew Only if I can work out how to build it!
Loved the project, and yes, I made it 'till the end.
Yay!
made it to the end!
Heck yes!
Made it to the end 😉
Thanks Chris!!
Made it!!
😁😁😁😁✌🏻
I found you from looking for Murphy bed building videos. Then kept watching your other videos. I love the desk and plan to try my hand at that one for sure. It definitely awesome to have a United interest between any couple. Congrats on finding the right partner. I do have one question, do you do any side jobs? The Murphy bed seems to look a little to much for me as my wife would expect nothing less than as close to perfect as a full wall piece and I’m just not sure with my novice self that I could make it that close. What would you charge to precut/drill and ship a full-mattress Murphy bed? If you do side work like that.
Either way thank you for such great videos.
I made it to the end.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Watched to the end crew
Yayyy awesome!
And there goes me hoping to build just a plain desktop. Ugh. But I love this and hope to make it soon and through some sit-stand desk legs on it for more mobility.
haha sounds like a plan!
Watched to the end, and liked what I saw. A suggestion would be to make an inlay on top of the desk to indicate the position of the wireless charger.
That would be slick:)
Nice looking desk Dylan! Thank you for sharing the video with us!💖👌👍😎JP
Thank you JP!
You are very welcome Friends! Have a great week!😎
