- A super cute couple of Fresh Baked muffins just got married at Disneyland, and they reserved the Fairy Tale suite at the Disneyland hotel. And they were so kind as to let us take a tour of the suite, shoot some video and take some photos. How amazing is that!

Wow, that room is pretty awesome and in true Disney fashion they spared no expense on finishing details. I am a Tile setter, the mosaic and tile finishes in the bathroom are stunning. The slab counter is most likely quartzite and cost at least $80.00 a square foot and will go as high as $140.00 per square foot. And that is just to buy the material, that doesn’t include fabrication or installation. It would be a true honor to be able to work on a Disney themed project like this ! That is for the video look forward to next weeks!

OH. MY. GAWD!!! Liz's excitement before going into the room would be my exact reaction!! Ok, I literally had tears in my eyes when you first walked in and the lights on the princesses came on, and I heard the music, and then Tinkerbell came out and I literally cried!!! That room is SO beautiful, and like Liz....I would never leave either. Thank you, thank you to the wonderfully nice couple that let you see and tour the room BEFORE them!! And Congratulations to them both. Sigh....back to my not-as-amazing room with no Tinkerbell!! FRESH BAKED!! NSA!
Spent 4 nights in this room last year in November for the wife's birthday. Beautiful and spacious room and the VIP benefits you get from staying in the room is great as well! It's expensive but well worth it for a special occasion.

Can you imagine watching your favorite classic Disney movie (for me it's the REAL/classic original Aladdin) at night here though? Ahhh! Amazing. :).
I've actually stayed in that suit back when it was the, "Honeymoon Suite." A couple years after my ex and I stayed there is when they remodled it and turned it into the, "Fairytale Suite." We had the room for an entire week. I never wanted to leave. I got spoiled. I love the new theming, but the canopy might be a bit too much for me. I'd have to see it in person. The one thing I miss the most, the view. Especially in the morning, when Downtown Disney is waking up and the sun rises over the hills on the other side.
Fun Fact: The bed was too high for me to climb up onto. The hotel had to provide me a step stool so I could get on the bed...lol
Thanks Dave and Liz for filming this! I stayed in the Fairy Tale Suite back in May of 2015 on my Honeymoon. It was amazing! You brought back some nice memories!!
First off Congrats to the newly Married Couple. Cheers on that. Second, so nice of these folks to let Fresh Baked in the room BEFORE they even got to go in??? That is like SUPER COOL. I kinda got a kick out of the baseball field looking roof top? I have never seen anything like that before. Where are the actual wedding ceremonies held? Are they done after hours? or? Again, Congrats to the Couple and may GOD bless them with a long life together...

I replayed Tink lighting up the crystal castle like 7 times. I love figuring out how Disney stuff works All I can think of is they have a mini-LED projector ready to go every time that switch is flipped.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel last week for a week, our view was more car park than Downtown Disney. This room is fab though

For the mosaic of the castle in the bathroom look up the ‘Alcázar of Segovia’ in Spain. Looking online of pictures of different angles it almost appears to be it. I was told but haven’t seen any references to it that Walt Disney used the Alcázar of Segovia as an influence for our Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland. But like many things the architects involved were probably influenced by many castles.

So, when we walked out of Galaxy Edge Monday May 20, I turned to the person I was with, said, “I’m happy I’m back in Disneyland.” They turned to me and said, “I’m so glad you said that. I don’t feel a Star Wars Land belongs in Disneyland.” I’ve been an AP since 2003. We watched Star Wars’ ‘A New Hope IV’ a couple days after our preview of Galaxy Edge. I saw A New Hope in the theaters when it was released in 1977. That in itself was a mind blowing thing. This Star Wars Land has taken itself a bit too seriously. I did not see any Star Wars or Disney humor within most of Galaxy Edge. I didn’t see anything cute, save one item in what seemed a fish bowl in one of the shops selling way too much Star Wars merchandise. And, Star Wars Land seemed as a place to sell a lot of merchandise. The new area laid flat on my companion and myself. It didn’t have the “Disney Magic” as my companion mentioned. We did buy a cool ‘Black Spire’ mug. We made a point of finding the exact location of the ‘Black Spire.’ Our next Star Wars movie to watch is Rogue One. We’ve so-far seen the Star Wars movies together in chronicle logical order since Phantom Menace(about 4 days before or GE preview). We messed up and didn’t see Rogue One before New Hope. I’ve seen them all, however, my -May 20 Star Wars Land companion, has not seen them all. We will see them all on dvd thanks to Netflix (bought the first three pre-sequels). We started watching the Star Wars films before going into Black Spire Outpost. We both walked out of Galaxy Edge into Fantasy Land happy to be back into #Disneyland. Thank You for your blogs

Ok, you had to have missed something. The Disneyland rooms all have a “goodnight” feature with special lights, sounds, etc. The art on the wall looked suspicious and wouldn’t doubt there was something you missed concerning the tub also.. These rooms really need to be thoroughly explored with lights out or dimmed with drapes closed and all areas where you would relax checked for switches/buttons.
Edit: ok, you missed a TV in the large middle bathroom mirror according to the website.

Im unimpressed- i like the bathroom lights, the steps and the view but the room is really small! The bathtub too- I expect a honeymoon suite to be bigger than my room at home. There isnt even a balcony 🤔

It was very, very nice but I have to admit, after the castle reveal, the rest was just anti-climactic for me. I was hoping Liz would que the castle again.
I'm a little disappointed. After that show in the foyer and the elaborate lighting in the bathroom, I was hoping for more from the rest. With a name including the word "suite", I thought there'd be one or two (or maybe even three) rooms beside the entry, bedroom and bath. Oh well. It was pretty regardless. The furnishing you asked about was probably a type of chaise langue, French for "long chair".
