- It's a Friday night visit and Liz and I are looking to have a little dinner, and a little adventure. Luckily we can do both as the amazing Jungle Cruise sits right next to the beautiful Tropical Hideaway. So I get some dinner at Bengal BBQ while Liz enjoys a bao from Tropical Hideaway. Then we'll head next door for a beautiful night run through the jungles of Adventureland. With fancy camera in hand and a very funny skipper on board, we had a great beginning to our night.

Regarding the video quality, we're working on it. It's a focusing issue we couldn't work around this week. As mentioned previously, our "A" cam has died. We were trying out different cameras that we have already to see if any are suitable, but it's apparent that our original A cam is the still the best way to go, and it will be replaced before next week. Please note though the on-ride stuff for Jungle Cruise was shot with "fancy cam", so that should still look pretty darn good IMO :)
No problem...takes trying things out to find the best way to do it!
I have a first gen DJI Osmo I could lend you if you are still having "A" cam problems this week! I havent used it in years. FRESHBAKED!

David, I'm a bit confused. You complain when the crowds are light that more people should come to Disneyland. But last week when you and Ian walked into Fantasyland and it was crowded, the first thing you said was, 'I wish I was somewhere else." I totally get your reasons for wanting people to come, but you can't have it both ways.
I suffer from a mild case of social anxiety. When it gets super crowded and tight, I freak out a little. But having said that, I very much want Disneyland to succeed. I want the park to be busy and successful and for everyone to do well. I just have to find ways to deal with the anxiety on a personal level. I don't blame Disney, or the people, for it. So yes, it can be both ways. It's just my problem to deal with.
i have rather serious s.a.d. and it's indeed challenging at times. i'm fully team lower crowd- it's not as though it's actually dead, just not mental. far more enjoyable even for non-s.a.d. types. disney'll be fine.
@@FreshBakedDisney Ok, I get that. You're a much bigger lover of Disneyland than I am in that respect, I guess. I'm with Liz on this one -- the park is much more enjoyable for me without sweaty bodies packed all around me. I like relaxed Disneyland more than anxiety Disneyland.
I'm with Liz. Less crowded is so much better! haha I mean, Iget it... but I really like being able to move and ride rides in peace! hehe

Bengal bbq is hands-down the best. Delicious, fast, affordable. Take it wherever you want! We took it to Ranchos patio to watch Big Thunder.
I was so. happy. that Tropical Hideaway was open Jan 2019 during our last visit!!! Lovely atmosphere and fun food. We all enjoyed the bao and the special Dole Whips!
P.S. the Jungle Cruise is best at night!
Weird question but how do you transport your food, do you just walk around the park with your tray? I want to do this but I dont know if its allowed.
Portion sizes of some of Bengal BBQ's items have noticeably decreased in the last few years. 2 thumbs down.

Pretty much. You can take it anywhere there’s open seating: Rancho, Stage Door, French Market...just not to a table-service restaurant. It feels a little funny, but it’s worth it.

Hey Fresh Baked! So I'm the Skipper from your cruise and this video has made my whole year! I love that you guys were laughing so loudly and were so engaged! Thank you for all your kind words and know that I was really touched. Truth be told, I was battling tonsillitis during this time and was struggling to get through work, but seeing people really enjoy what I do makes it one hundred perfect worth it. We work long hours in the heat and humidity of the jungle until our voices are hoarse just to try to make people laugh, and the fact that I could keep you entertained for even just 10 minutes, is really all I can ask for. I even sent it to my mom! 😂 Feel free to ask for me anytime you are around the jungle! 🖤

Disneyland is better without crowds. I'm with Liz on this one. I love myself some Disney going with my gf often. I do also love this channel. But truth is people are speaking with their wallets.

Back when it was too crowded everyone was saying Disneyland needed to do something about it. Since then they added a new land (more space), they widened walkways (more room), and they raised prices (supply & demand), and it all worked. Disneyland is great now, and soon enough the former passholders who didn't renew because of the price increase, will return and things will start getting crowded again. So let's enjoy it now!

I was there the 3rd-6th! I was surprised it wasn’t crowded! The first day we got there the wait time for the new Star Wars was only 35 minutes!

We've learned that rise of the resistance won't be open until January 17th that's okay who wants to hang out with Grandma and the little kids in the hot summer anyway it's not crowded because everybody is staying in the cool air I'm totally okay with that because I'm coming to Disneyland, now later and again and I can't wait to meet you guys. David and Liz, If this is a not crowded Disneyland bring it on. Once upon a time an evening like this we'd all consider the park to be packed out. Don't tell Disney though, because your right they can do crazy stuff. This puts me in mind of how " empty" the park was before the 60th celebrations.They might bring that game back that they got guests to play in Frontierland. I hope not.Cheers, Chris Perry.

Last week when you were there I think there were "leftover" crowds from the 4th. We made an impromptu trip last week (our first ever summer trip) from Utah specifically because we liked our chances!! Although I wouldn't have called it "light" crowds (especially in the afternoons/evening), I have to say the first few morning hours were WONDERFUL! And we did everything we wanted :)

The quiet makes me nervous for my trip next July. I have to say I was very happy with the quiet on the trip I just had June 26-28, it was fantastic. Pirates queue was empty at 7:30pm.

IDK if its true or not, but it was in my case. No heartburn during my first pregnancy and my daughter didn't have any hair, but I had heartburn like crazy my second pregnancy and my 2nd daughter had a whole head of dark hair. Maybe baby Sofia is gonna have alot of hair too 💁❤

The reason there is no crowds is because Disney is blocking the majority of Annual Pass holders. Signature and Signature Plus are good. All others are blocked for the summer. Come August 19th, during that week and month of September the gates will finally open.

Id like to suggest that Disneyland, in general, has been broken since the 60th celebration and that the low crowds are actually a direct result of Galaxies Edge and all the "operation star dust" action. Simply put- 30% more Disneyland+ well planned wider walkways=less congestion around the park.
Also, I think the majority of people who are coming to Disney, are already coming. Im not sure the are many Star Wars fans who would come that wouldn't already be planning on coming. Believe it or not outside of Ca there's alot of people who just aren't interested in going at all many of them star wars fans.
The whole"Galaxies Edge is gonna break Disneyland" panic is just that, panic.
