Very good review! I went from a Mazda Miata to a 2023 RS3. What the Mazda lacked in power, the RS3 has in abundance. This is a car that is a great long-distance highway cruiser - put it in comfort mode and it will get 32 mpg at 65 mph. Set the drive mode to RS, and you're looking at a car that will just about keep up with Porsches costing twice as much. If you don't mind small cars (and I don't), it's a great choice for someone who wants a sport sedan and a confortable cruiser. If you go with a more restrained color, you'll have the perfect sleeper.
Right... cause It's TOTALLY logical to cross-shop a 60-70k USD 3500lb ~400hp compact against a 120-140k USD 5000lb ~600hp full-sized wagon. I'd be into the RS3 hatch because I'm looking for one nice car to do it all... not spend that twice over when I personally don't need (any) back seat space. I want/need a little more space than a Golf R... but don't need nearly as much space as an RS6 or full-size SUV.
@@Xolition RE the A5/S5/RS5 Sportback... Even though it's technically a lift back... it's still just a large sedan with a SLIGHTLY improved cargo area. And it's still much larger than an RS3 Hatch/Wagon. But I don't need the width and back seat space and prefer smaller cars and their ease to drive and park in the city, and fun on a back road. I imagine there are many young(er) professionals like myself w/o kids who are in a similar place. That's the point of my comment... there is a sizable hole in the lineup that would be filled by the RS3 Hatch/Wagon. To be honest: At the price point of an RS5 Sportback, a Macan S/GTS or SQ5 is a much better buy from a utility perspective, and I'm not sure it would dynamically be too different.
I’m sorry but saying the car feels naturally aspirated makes me wonder if you’ve ever driven one? There’s plenty of turbo lag and boom then the surge kicking in when boost pressure’s been built up. Nevertheless I just love my RS3.
Would love to see Micah's family reviewing this one! I love the color so much! Reminds me of the toxic green Lambo Diablo on NFS: Hot Pursuit on PlayStation 2 days! I am so happy that Audi made this, and we all know that Audi is the trendsetter, which means other car makers will offer fun colors like these soon. Come on Hyundai! Give us Venom Green or Fluorescent Yellow N cars!
That engine is awesome, wish that Audi gave us the hatchback version. Hoping the Mk8.5 Golf R interior issues are remedied, then that EA888 would be good enough for me.
These are very nice, but have massive depreciation. I would love to buy one, but I’m definitely afraid of the maintenance costs. Super nice car and on my radar. But I think the parts and service would bankrupt me.
If they still sell this in a couple when I reach retirement age (73) I hope to flip my B9 S4 (plus cash) for one. My religion (First Church of Don’t be Stupid) forbids paying a dealer markup, so please pray for me.
With your rockstar friend, tell her to get a wiff of the Lancia Stratos, Fiat Dino, and Ferrari dino, along with a Lampretti V12, the early F1 version they had in early ferrari's as while I love the quattro, saying that a 5 or a 10 sounds better than them, OH also the Alfa Romeo 2000 spider, and the early early lancia V6s is patently false, hell its one of the tell tale signs of a fake ferrari with a load of bull on its hood you just get one wiff of that audi V10 and GO nOPE, not a lamborghini, not in the slghtest, as if the patently germanic design that did away with all the color accents, put in a ton of understeer, and turned the interior into a claustrophobics hell instead of the beautful connoly leather of the espada, a car they should have remade in the early 2000's to compete with aston, instead of that ugly gallardo where its just a really nice place to be. also alot of the sound is in the exhaust, cross pipes really help, along with anasi pipes, like you have to look at who is tuning that, just as much as everything else and that is coming from someone who had the exact same motor as you for over 12 years, which is why I'm looking at this, as I was like hey wait does this have my old motor in it just bumped up to UR quattro rally spec? figures though the back seats would be a problem, I need something with good space back there, and the 2.0 liters and the V6's they make just give off a vibe of problems going somewhere to happen to say nothing of their overpriced costs, like their median for a half decent car is 60 thousand dollars for literally everything. ' granted then you look at a 300C and its interior and its like OH DEAR!
Don't get an Audi. They are having recalls on all A4, Q3, Q5, and one other model for AWD clutches. My car is still with Audi after a week. I'm trading it as soon as I get it back. Run away from Audis.

Depends on the drive mode. In confort, turbo lag is noticeable, then becomes increasingly less so as you move on to auto, dynamic, and then RS modes.
Honestly I wish all cars had the same blind spot assist as the Audi
Great reiew Lynn! And yeah AoA, where is the hatch for US and Canada?😄
Great review! Love the sedan- hatch option would be cool too.
I always enjoy Lynn's reviews.
If only they offered the hatch to US and Canada... :'(
RS6
They don’t even offer the sedan in Canada :(

Great review-Just got my estimated ship date on a MY24 Kemora Gray arriving in Charleston, SC in January👍

They did review the 2023 RS3. Hop on over to his channel and search for it. It’s there.
@@LordStaind found it and watched it! Everything I would have expected it to be. Thanks!
If this thing had a manual option it'd be nearly perfect.

The last KBB video I saw was the intro of the new EV Cadillac SUV. Lyn looks so much more normal-sized in this video. Great review!
That color edit should be in every video
70k with decent options...no thanks. However, the review is solid!
Nice review. Thanks.
This is a car where I’d have to have a cigarette after going for a drive… 😂😂
Your mmi may have an issue. I don’t see those issues on my 2022 rs3
Good work Lyn. I used to have a 5 cylinder mkv Rabbit
Great review Lyn!😸
Just one question: Can we get the hatchback?!?!?!
Previous Audi owner, usually love the designs….this looks like a Corolla…
What's going on with the dash @ looks like a water leak inside the dash or something to the finish in the dash that has gone awry.
Give me a Sportback!

So are parachute pants coming back or something?
Way too much engine for me but do I ever love it and that color too is amazing!
You get this car for the engine lmao
Audi light looks good back in 2017. And then it’s just too much with stripes design.
So where’s Micah? Don’t kind Lyn, just been a while….
Micah took a new job at KBB that doesn't have as much camera time. He has his own channel though and uploads there pretty often.
@@nknasithe channel is called Micah Drives
The blue Cadillac in the picture is CT5 not CT4
Just give me one in a metallic gray and I'd be set 😏
Think of the audi RS3 as a 4 door Audi TTRS technically the TTRS is still here just as a 4 door
Is your friend Misha Mansoor?
No wagon, no buy, but those orange pants are fiiiire! 🔥🔥🔥
Ceramic brakes not offered anymore
I miss Micah. 😢
He had his own channel he uploads car reviews to all the time
I didnt know Cayman was a convertible.
I own one class

What a terrific vehicle. But can we as a society, please, please, please get over the black rims fad? Not everybody wants black rims!
It's an option, chief
@@dubsessed9790it’s not an option when your only choice is a black rim.
The only thing keeping me from the RS3 is a manual option.
Give me the blackwing
I do agree about the mmi elements audi just can't do it properly
Это же лада веста !
