In Brisbane, for example, the blacked out badges was a non-optional option they wouldn't let you purchase without one, and of course charged for them. Cross-comparing this with a Supra and A45s, and not really an M2 due to weird availability/new gen coming out and crazy price in QLD. Ended up going with ordering a new a45s, which only had a 6 month delivery time compared to the 1.5 years of the others. Coming from a previous gen TTRS, the new RS3 felt like a bit of a let down actually, especially at the price. Still a great review/content guys! Great work!
Great review as always. But Paul, when are you getting your hands on the car I cross-shopped this with, the BMW M240i? (Which I picked because it's 25% cheaper fully loaded than a BASE RS3 in my country!)

My RS3 came with flat bottom steering wheel. You can order one from any Audi dealer. You wouldn't want to fit from the RS3 8V, get the right one for the 8Y and code it in.

I was lucky and managed to snag an RS3 two months after ordering it. As I live in the US, it's a "saloon", which I think looks classier than the Sportback. As my last car was a Mazda MX-5, the somewhat downscale interior in the Audi doesn't bother me much nor the tire noise. The car is wicked fast and looks and sounds great. Mine is the Daytona Gray Pearl Effect with silver badges, so it's a real sleeper. I've taken it on road trips and achieved 33 mpg (US) and it did really well as a long-range cruiser. Car Expert did a comparison. RS3 faster in the drag race. A45s faster around the track by 1 sec which was surprising considering it’s a 3 year old car on slightly slower tires.
Audis cost cutting measures are really showing lately. It’s looking a tad cheap. Good old chip shortage improving profit margins, price goes up, tech comes out.

By the way, 45 years ago, a friend of mine had a Volvo 343. Yeah, that slow one with a cvt gearbox. I tried it in reverse on a normal street. Made 80 km/h. Really scary. When you measure the place in the backseats. Who is sitting there. Normaly just kids and tenagers As I was a taxi owner for many years back then, of course then I used Mercedes E-class or VW Caravelle. Enough leg room then. In my youth, I was in fast coupes, such as Mustang and Ford Capris, it was enough room for us then, in those cars. We were often four or five adults, but we were young. I bought those, because my friends had to drive when we were touring and I was sitting in the backseats and reading newspapers. But today, the perfect car for me, is a BMW 3-series and who cares for the spaces in the backseats. Yes, I live in Scandinavia. Which BMW 3 series is the best in value and performance. The 330D estate. With all gadgets and that, it's US $ 10K cheaper than the M340D and the M340i, and better fuel economy. Of course an Audi RS3 is fun, but, once in a while when the police are of duty. Here, the penalty is a near death sentence when you are caught speeding.
previous generation of the RS3 with the DAZ engine and DQ500 box was a better car I feel... I know this has all the new tech, but the previous gen was really what set the standard... sort of like the R34 skyline... yeah the newer ones are better on paper, but you'd pick the R34 every time
Wireless charging is hit and miss, some came with some didn't, its total luck whether it arrives with it or not 🤣 mine didn't. But it did come with side parking sensors 🤷and no blindspot monitoring. Totally random Also the RS button is literally on the steering wheel
Are Audi the worst in industry for delivering less due to chip shortages? And how much longer would we wait for delivery if we waited to get everything we paid for? Massage-chairs, I can live without, but the front camera for a 360° camera? Stupid thing to leave off.
I am embarrassed for Audi with how much they've omitted in features considering the pricing. I'd expect 10-15k off for the ridiculously culled feature list. There's missing things in there you get on 40k cars!
The tips aren’t actually connected to the exhaust but are fixed on the rear bar, there are smaller exhausts behind the tips but I believe some manufacturers do this to protect the rear exhaust in a rear end collision as it is not cheap
Not really available new in the UK anymore….. as far as Audi’s site goes. Like so many many stunning cars, they have become speculative purchases. The post-pandemic world sucks really…
Love your videos, but you need to work on your audio in editing. You have a tendency to settle into half volume talking on a point for 20 seconds AND THEN GO ANYWAYYY THERES ALSO THIS OTHER POINT. Thats fine, thats natural speaking pattern for a lot of people, but I find myself having to turn you up and down constantly because youre yelling at me one minute and then I cant hear a word you say the next. It takes 2 seconds with an autotool in audacity or other free software to fix this.
B&O is not great. First thing I noticed when I got my new RS3. I suspect more cost cutting has gone on with the audio. You have to do a lot of trial and error with the settings to get it to sound OK, but it's still not amazing. Compared to B&O in other Audi's I have owned, it's bottom of the pile.
I don’t think so. The haptic buttons aren’t as good and when you a driving through bends the flat bottom wheel actuates a bit annoying so I imagine a flat top and bottom would be really annoying
@@davothegreat9990 i seriously question that, you can get a demo m340i for 90k and then spend the remaining price of a rs3 on mods and it will be easy 800hp
I ordered one almost 16 months ago and still no sign of it and its doubtful it will get built Audi removed the car from the UK/EU/US configurator so unavailable to order since September As for the car yup the interior is not worthy of its price tag as are most new Audi's these days also the The A3/S3/RS3 8Y is due a facelift in 2023 The interior options where not available to UK car's ie no coloured stitching to the seats and doors/seat belts ...which does lift the interior also the sound of the car is very disappointing 😞
Yep VW and Audi are too close now for build and price, yes although there is no VW product like an RS3 (yet) it's really what the Golf should be for a proper Golf price.

Of course an Audi RS3 is fun, but, once in a while when the police are of duty. Here, the penalty is a near death sentence when you are caught speeding.
previous generation of the RS3 with the DAZ engine and DQ500 box was a better car I feel... I know this has all the new tech, but the previous gen was really what set the standard... sort of like the R34 skyline... yeah the newer ones are better on paper, but you'd pick the R34 every time
S3 and tune or RS3?
RS3 all the way, I believe these have been unlocked so there’s some companies that can tune them now
They are no longer taking orders in Australia and cancelled deposits back to Nov 2022.
At night reviews segment
Wireless charging is hit and miss, some came with some didn't, its total luck whether it arrives with it or not 🤣 mine didn't. But it did come with side parking sensors 🤷and no blindspot monitoring. Totally random
Also the RS button is literally on the steering wheel
Can you please review the Toyota Camry I really want to see your thoughts on it. That will be awesome!
My nana has camry, awesome car
Are Audi the worst in industry for delivering less due to chip shortages?
And how much longer would we wait for delivery if we waited to get everything we paid for? Massage-chairs, I can live without, but the front camera for a 360° camera? Stupid thing to leave off.
Love the RS 3 except the price
I am embarrassed for Audi with how much they've omitted in features considering the pricing. I'd expect 10-15k off for the ridiculously culled feature list. There's missing things in there you get on 40k cars!
My car got nothing emmited
Interesting, it has real exhaust tips unlike the S6
The tips aren’t actually connected to the exhaust but are fixed on the rear bar, there are smaller exhausts behind the tips but I believe some manufacturers do this to protect the rear exhaust in a rear end collision as it is not cheap
Amazing engine, normal car
Not really available new in the UK anymore….. as far as Audi’s site goes. Like so many many stunning cars, they have become speculative purchases. The post-pandemic world sucks really…
You've discovered that the reverse test triggers ppl like me to comment havne't you lol.
Did you ever do a full review of the Supra? I know you bought one but can’t find a review of yours for it online
Neighbour bought the rs q3... a well wicked car
I think that transmission is a dealbreaker!
The 2024’s steering wheel is so much nicer
I don’t think so. The haptic buttons aren’t as good and when you a driving through bends the flat bottom wheel actuates a bit annoying so I imagine a flat top and bottom would be really annoying
as a German i´m glad that you get the car in Australia so cheap 👍
Aš a canadiain , į wish for a cheap car
@@danrook5757 the cheapest car in Germany is the Dacia Sandero, start price is US $ 9k and what is the cheapest new car in Canada?
Watched this for 1 minute saw the 90k price tag and laughed and left... NEXT!
Waiting for Road test
For me, carbon package is money that could have been better spent elsewhere.
NOw much in canada, Toronto area
I went to buy one last weekend and they wanted 130k to order one
A mate has the A45s and inside is, so, so much nicer ~~
First time I see you saying "sh*t" haha
👏👏👏👍👍👍
Geez I wish my daddy owned a bank.
The Mask
The car is amazing in its own right but at this price point there are much better options. For example any b58 Beamer, (340i, 240i, z4oi)
Why are they better?
@@Teton12345 they aren’t
🤣🤣🤣🤣. What??? Rs3 is still better...
@@davothegreat9990 i seriously question that, you can get a demo m340i for 90k and then spend the remaining price of a rs3 on mods and it will be easy 800hp
@@rishigannamani7340 rs3 awd. Higher ceiling on mods. 5 cylinder superior and lighter. Win win.
I ordered one almost 16 months ago and still no sign of it and its doubtful it will get built Audi removed the car from the UK/EU/US configurator so unavailable to order since September
As for the car yup the interior is not worthy of its price tag as are most new Audi's these days also the The A3/S3/RS3 8Y is due a facelift in 2023 The interior options where not available to UK car's ie no coloured stitching to the seats and doors/seat belts ...which does lift the interior also the sound of the car is very disappointing 😞
Usually a very family friendly review but editor left a little nugget in this time 😂 ruclips.net/video/JGR0VjEYppc/видео.html
90k!!!
That car looks cheap for the money
You're paying for the engine, the interior is nice too, I just got the scratchy gloss bit around the start button wrapped, looks much better.
For $92k, money can be better spent on something else.
Yep VW and Audi are too close now for build and price, yes although there is no VW product like an RS3 (yet) it's really what the Golf should be for a proper Golf price.
I agree
What’s better for the money?
Nolan Drive
Holy shit 😂😂😂😂
I just bought a Volkswagen Golf 7.5 and this is just not worth $90k plus on roads
My wifes ring is worth 90k, NOT really
BMW tops this.
I guess it’s not the time to buy a new car unless you desperately need a car. Due to the chip shortage, it seems that you are shortchanged and not getting the real deal
Crap yellow should have gone Lamborghini yellow
I thought we EU are going eco mode but still produce fun cars for immature people who cause terrible accident on the road. German lobbyists anyone?
You can’t even buy one now if you wanted, Audi closed the orders for these..
Audi are taking the piss. 100k and no 360 camera or matrix led. Don’t sell them then.
Mine came with everything including matrix and 360, not sure what you’re on about
@@knight2425 watch the review genius.
@@THEAC83 I’ve got one numb nutz, for the record pretty sure this car was one of the first to hit Australia as media car so it did miss out on equipment and Audi have actually stop taking orders for them anyway so the review is outdated
@@knight2425 so the car is outdated too then?
@@THEAC83 in what way, because you can’t get one currently?
