People love to say "only tall women get to walk the runway" and blah blah like height = beauty but in reality tall chicks are viewed different. I feel you sister, I was 5'11" before 10th grade.. but I'm glad you have come into your confidence. You're beautiful ♥️

You can be Christian and a Bussycat. I exist! I’ve been watching you regularly since 2016! 😊
I am 6’0” tall. I am definitely not tall enough to be asked by strangers how tall I am when I am in flats, but I definitely get asked that question when I am in heels. I get that ever annoying comment from insecure old men, “With as tall as you are you shouldn’t be wearing heels that high young lady!” As I stand in my sensible 2.5 inch pumps. I have been dysphoric about my height and wishing I was shorter since the fifth grade. I realized about a year and a half into my transition though that if you are taller than a certain height people are going to notice. I can either make them notice how confident I am in my height and how good I look in my heels, or I can let them notice how insecure I am about being taller than most girls. I try to choose the former as often as possible. I still sometimes wish I was shorter, but I don’t hate my height anymore. I consider that a success.
I also used to think of 6’4” as being so tall until I dated a man who was 6’6” and taller than me in heels. Now I am spoiled and sometimes find myself thinking, “Can I snag a 6’8” tree next time?? Like that total catch who ghosted me??”
Also, the guys in school didn’t stop being afraid of me when I was still living as a gay guy until I started bringing delicious food to football games my senior year and they realized I wasn’t trying to poison them. I had a brief moment of popularity because I bake so well! I literally baked my way into being liked by accident! 😂
Anyway, I am so happy that you are doing so well right now! I truly hope it continues for as long as possible! Your viewers have been through so many ups and downs with you. We are there through them all!!! Even if you don’t know about all of us! Much love and many hugs, Victoria! ❤️

As a 6'0" cis woman, I 100% relate to ur struggles with height. Tall women with eating issues is a huge problem that isn't talked about enough honestly. I often think it would be easier if I were a man so that people would idolize me instead of hating me...

But a 5'10" tall girl (or taller) all eyes will be on YOU. I live for it lol it makes me feel so powerful, and this video further helped with my confidence. Thank you girl!! Being 5'10 I'm really the cut off for being an "acceptable height" for a female which has really swayed me away from wearing heels because If I wear flats then I don't get weird looks even though heeled boots are my favorite type of shoe. It took me such a long time to accept myself and wear what makes me happy even though I get stared at in public for being 6'2 in heels. I really don't get why being tall for women is such a bad thing? Like tall women are idolized when they're models, but shunned when they're just normal people I really don't get it.

    • @MummaQuan
      @MummaQuan 5 лет назад

Girl. I feel you. I’m 5’11 or so and I can’t wear heels bc I feel like a monster or something and get weird looks. It’s bullshit. People should worry about more important things than another persons height. Some shit that nobody has control over.

I'm 6ft 1 . I work in a bar and guys are constantly asking how tall I am and if the floor is raised where I am stood, while making fun of me.
People are so rude. Don't know how people have the nerve to say things out loud.
The other week I was sat in my city centre waiting for my mum and someone shouted at me and made fun of my big nose.
I do fashion at uni and overheard one of lecturers saying. "You have made the shoulders too broad, it isn't very feminine, make them more sloped".
People don't realise comments can really stick.
Just got to let them pass and carry on! Haha

So I’m a 6’1 transwoman, and I never really had a problem with my height from other people (most people just think I’m exotic looking since I’m mixed and/or a model) and most of the time I don’t mind it either. However there has been plenty of times where I wished I was shorter, so I totally can relate to anyone who is dysphoric about their height. Whenever I have gotten dysphoric, I just always look at it like “I could have no arms or legs. I could have one leg. But I have all my limbs and I’m healthy. So I got to appreciate what I have and accept it” and that always makes me appreciate my body, height and all. I know it isn’t that easy with some people, and I totally get it. I’ve accepted my height though and I’m glad you have too! You’re my favorite trans RUclipsr Buss Queen

On another note- can I just say, it ANNOYS me when trans youtubers (Eden the doll, Elena Genevinne, Angela Vanity, Blaire White for example) have all made it seem like being tall is a bad thing? Like, girl. I’ve seen plenty of tall trans women more passable than you 4 so you can stop the height shaming. 🙄

Yes queen! I love hearing you talk about that moment. I felt a similar way after becoming a little insecure about my body and after awhile, I had the same moment like.. “ya know, I’m cool with this. I don’t hate this. I’m good. I’m okay. This is me and I like it.” Instead of feeling like I should always consider my body a work in progress like women are almost taught to think. I’m not trying to spend 6 years still “working” on a “beach body” instead of going to the damn beach. My body is at the beach, mission accomplished. ✌️
    Love you!💘

This is a good time for me to hear this story, I just went to the shoe store and as usual couldn't find anything I liked except for one thing, which they don't have in my size because my feet are an abysmal size 6 men's and they never have my size and I knew this would happen before even going there. I'm also trans so my dysphoria just whacked me with a bat in my nonexistent nuts and I basically ran the fuck out of there. Driving home I felt so fucking depressed. The shift and knee bend trick!! I’ve used that for so many group photos. I always felt weird being the tall girl. Everyone has always said they’re jealous of my height, but it’s annoying. I don’t want to be noticed as the tall girl, I just want to be a normal girl. I’m only 5’8 so my experience probably isn’t nearly as bad as yours, but I still get upset when I’m taller than everyone. I feel like I can’t wear heels even though I love the way they look. We just gotta be powerful together!

I am 22 and i spent most of my life living with OCD, depression and hair ripping and i was always trying so hard to keep it together in front of others like i hear you express too. In January i started also taking an anti-depressant after realizing that struggles and growth with our mental health are a beautiful part of existing on this earth and , and that i should not feel ashsamed to get help. Hearing you express your journey with self-acceptance is heartwarming and i am grateful that you are getting relief from the pain you were feeling. When i started taking medication for myself, i started feeling soo much better too! and i remember watching your videos and sending you my love so you could be happy too. I’m 5’6, and have often been told I’m tall! A lot of women are 5’0-5’4, and constantly make me feel like I’m really tall, and men even have said “I’m tall for a girl”. I’ve always wanted to be 2-4 inches shorter. So, if I feel that way, I can only imagine how women taller than myself feel. Something I always say is, height, hair color, eye color, skin color, and age, are all things we cannot control, and we shouldn’t judge people for things they can’t help, or have no control over.

Ugh girl PREACH I'm a tall woman, I'm literally not even that tall but I still hate it. Dating sucks bc I'm a shallow ass bitch and don't like men that are shorter than me bc it just makes me feel like Sasquatch or Paul Bunyon or something. One of our family friends is a tiny petite little 5'0" woman and I complained how really tall men only ever seem to date woman who are like a full foot shorter than them at least and she was like "well we're little we need protection" BITCH I'M SOFT AND HELPLESS AF I NEED PROTECTION TOO ITS NOT MY FAULT I'M TRAPPED IN THIS GIGANTIC BODY

I was always the tallest in school too. And even though I was mostly quiet, I remember once my class was called to speak to this reporter on some field trip we were on, and EVERYONE wanted to be on TV... naturally it was a frenzy. And AS the tallest kid I took advantage & KNOCKED all the other kids heads away like dominos because they were all so short to me (I felt like one of those monsters on Power Rangers knocking over buildings, that's how easy it was lol). Than we all just started fighting but I know I made it worse and I CLEARLY remember the camera man running away from us 😂😂😂 mind you, we were only children but he ran for his life. Fun times. Now at 5'8 Im almost average height for a female, but some people still say I'm tall.

I'm 5ft 10 overweight... It sucks and I feel like I stand out with my friends. it's always been that way. I feel like I'm so undesirable and being called a fat bitch online definitely doesn't help. We gotta bring eachother up not tear eachother down

I felt this so much and I’m 5’7 but I’ve been that since Jr High 😭😭😭 for a Mexican girl, who tended to be attracted to Mexican boys (who were always 5’7 and under) it was AN ISSUE. I hated the fuuuuck out of myself until I turned 20.

yaaasss, tall woman pride! i used to get teased all the time for being tall af and in trouble all the time for playing too rough w other kids (6 ft club, ayeeee lol). now i realize that tall humans are just more evolved than our short brethren.

You are really inspiring and I hope to be happy and healthy like you some day. I'm starting more intensive therapy soon to hopefully teach me to stop splitting, and engaging in other defensive and self-damaging behaviors like constantly eating. I'm also starting a new medication that I am praying will help with the feeling of hopelessness and just the feeling that I am done for and have ruined my body by being so overweight and self harming. I've been like this for years and I am at the point that if therapy doesn't work then I need to be institutionalized because I just can't get out of this cycle. No one understands how not-in-control of myself I feel.

Okay so you’re model material and you’re mad about your height? Omg Victoria so many girls wish they could be tall! But the stereotype of a cute innocent small girl is always gonna be the male ideal girl, which isn’t okay but I think we’re all moving towards acceptance of anyone’s appearance. Idk why people care that you’re tall??

The problem with tall girls is that it's intimidating to a lot of guys. Small femmes that we can hold and protect is ingrained as perfect, and a female that towers threatens your manhood. Personally, I love females about my height (I'm 6'3).

Skullz Rodgers it’s so funny, I’m like the least intimidating person ever but apparently guys are all scared of me just because I’m 5’8!

Runway models have to be all the same size. 6'4"is usually too tall. The issue is a damned is you do, damned if you don't think. Long limbs are sexy, but a woman with a large frame is seen as masculine or less feminine than a small girl.

I'm 5'11" and I used to absolutely hate it. It doesn't bother me as much anymore but I still hate that I have to buy special sizes for pants to actually be long enough lol

God, we're alot alike. I was tall and wide all throughout middle school too, then went through eating disorders, started drinking and smoking to cope, all while realizing I was trans and different.
Love this video, and would definetly be interested in stories about medication. I was on lots of medicine from ages 17-20 and it turned out to not be for me, probably because I wasn't actually depressed, just miserable in my skin for awhile, and the anxiety came from my social anxiety from being non passable for years. The more my transition develops, the better my mental health is. That's just me though. Glad you're taking care of yourself. Ahh Victoria, sorry for rambling, I just totally relate. haha
    *liked* ☺😊😊😊💖💖💖💖
