Pole Fishing Down The Edge With Carp Spod Mix!?
If you follow our channel you'll know that Steve loves experimenting with different baits and methods and his latest thoughts were... specimen carp anglers spend lots of time, effort and love on there spod mixes, but (especially on commercials) its something that pole/match anglers don't really do.
So we headed to Reepham Fisheries, with a bucket of 'big carp' spod mix to see how well it would work and if it would work better than conventional baits like pellets and corn.
To find out a exactly how we got on, watch the latest episode from the waters edge…
As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.

Lovely to see.
That was awesome. I'm not a match fisherman at all never given it a go. But what I really enjoy is learning different aspects of fishing. Great video. Really enjoyed it. Tight lines 🎣🎣🎣
Interesting, well done
brilliant video boys, i love margin fishing for carp but use hempseed on its own, and i think it's the best attractant for carp, keep them coming
Steve, you look like you've lost a lot of weight and looking in really good shape. Great to see and a great video as always.
Excellent video guys:-) Any plans for a beach session?
I put a bed of the same stuff down when overnight barbel fishing, except the hemp is sonu spicy sausage, the pellets are hinders elips, the corn is big maize and the boilies are chopped up Sticky the Krill :)
I’ve used party mix down my edge a few times, just need to be careful that the Ingredients don’t break any fishery rules
Good day
Hey guys when is your next sea fishing session missing them
where’s steve gone?
It would be a more useful experiment if it wasn't a commercial fishery where you would expect to catch all day with a tin of corn and a tin of meat.
still muddy puddle fishing, best you get on the beach and catch some real fish lol
Hang on he washed out the boilies, added liquid to them and then crunched them up, hello, ground bait….such a waste of a perfect bait
