CARP v SILVERS! What Should We Be Fishing For?
For this latest video we head to Meadow Farm Cottages, to hopefully answer an age-old question... at this time of year, in the cooler months, what should we be fishing for?
Should we be sitting it out to try and target the bigger carp and F1's?
Should we be getting our head down and trying to put a net of silverfish together?
Should we simply be fishing for anything/both?
To try and answer the question we decided to fish for both carp and silverfish, allowing ourselves 2.5 hours fishing time for each (replicating a 5 hour match length). We'd then have a mini weigh-in after each 2.5 hours and see exactly what came out on top!
To find out a exactly how we got on and to see if the carp or the silverfish won, then watch the latest episode from the waters edge…
As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.

Got to thank you for this video, I live 5 mins away and never knew the lakes were there! Fished yesterday, not a pole man so waggler for me and found that by plumbing and shotting correctly if I didn't hit the silvers on the way down I would almost certainly have a carp or tench off the bottom. Cracking friendly venue and look forward to my next visit.

Never knew that little cup on the end of the pole was called a 'toss pot' that's brilliant.

Couldnt care less if i catch Carp or not. Theres an automatic assumption that everyone wants to, or should, fish for them.
Decent catch or individual fish of any species is fine by me.
    Great vid.

Excellent video lads. Really interesting topic. If there is a good head of F1's then I would defo feed a line for them in the hope they come on in the later stage of a match.

I don't mind catching silvers but when you are targeting bigger fish as carp, tench or maybe barbel, they can be a pain. Btw Great video again!
