Sorry I only speaking English, I have the 8x30 model and it's outstanding. Is the 10x model of the same excellence?

Hello! I'm about to upgrade my GPO Passion ED, and I already have 2 bins in my mind: The SFL 8x40 and de Leica Ultravid 8x42, I know they are two total different bins, but I wonder which one has the better optics. It's going to be my "end-game" bin and need to last like 10 years at least.

Absolutely 110% go with the Leica. The build quality truly a second to none. The image has much more contrast and color saturation. But again you have to know if you like a more neutral or more saturated color rich image.

The index finger wouldn’t have to reach that far up if the focuser was further near the oculars ,because your other three fingers would grip more of and higher on the barrels. The way it is now, it appears to be a design flaw, because the pinky finger is dangling over the objective. The design works in the 40mm, not with the 30, What a shame.

@@xxxvvv9172 yes I do know. I have Nikon MHG and Leica Ultravid to name two among a few others, all of which are just as small and have the focuser in a better position, better ergonomic design. The SFL is smart focus light , not smart focus position.

No, I don't think so. I use my middle finger for focusing the 30mm-type. Since that finger is longer, you can rotate the focus ring even more.

@@volkeresper9519 I’ve now tried the 30, nice bino for sure. I have medium size hands and I don’t like using the middle finger (at least for focusing purposes 😛) on the 30’s. It’s all about ergos, the 40’s were fine. I have the UV for my compact light needs.
