I mainly play McGinnis, and this build was actually something I was testing out a few weeks ago before it more popular as of late as I really enjoy Engineer/Supportive playstyles in games. I often focused more on a few more smaller items like boots/extra stamina at least for a bit of mobility and etc before getting Rescue Beam, Divine Barrier, or just items to help make me tankier. I don't completely ignore the turrets as they do help with pushing minion waves on their own, an early warning system, and the slow can help out in teamfights (as mentioned later in the video)... I kinda treat them like Venomancer wards from Dota 2 in a way (it would be cool, although a bit strong if they provided a bit of map vision around themselves like Veno's wards). Also, I don't really follow hero tier lists with how often balance patches can happen (and I just play what I enjoy) but I'm surprised that players considered her the "worse hero in game" since she is one the best heroes at melting objectives with just Monster Rounds and the Heal's attack speed boost alone (and even more so with Heroic Aura's active). And with players talking about how important it is to take down the first Guardains/Walkers to gain map control/economy you would think a hero that does that job well would be seen in a bit more of a positive light viability wise (even if she's just a situational pick and not top tier). Anyways, just wanted to share some thoughts as a player who likes McGinnis. Best of luck in your matches everyone.
I’d argue mcginnis has the strongest landing phase in the game Medicinal specter with monster rounds and healing rite just make you unkillable. The damage against is temporary while her damage is permanent. She has the highest dps weapon when revved up so as long as she only takes when she’s revved mcginnis is at least going even on trades which is still better for the McGinnis cause she is constantly healing. Also she just can melt tower and if they sty to shoot her down during her dps phase she can just aim that ridiculous dps at the people shooting her just brushing them. Most the time I just shoot the tower to bait them into los while I’m revved and in the heal damage amp massively chunking them. The wall is stupidly useful, you can just claim every other creep wave, the ultimate get out of jail free card to bail you out of every scenario, and it’s a constant threat of don’t come near her AND it can cut off the guardian to push really deep Also her entire kit helps her steal the early game camps Also ammo scavenger was practically designed for McGinnis, all her abilities get substantially better with spirit power and she wants mag size and she goes for shooting the orb instead of melee more then almost any other character. Also her ult lets you take tier 3 camps at 7 minutes
For people that are unaware of this narrator his name is Speeed, guy is insane at dota and is at like 11kmmr. Man knows how to identify and analyse gameplay.
Unfortunately, the narrator is inexperienced with the game, did not lab test many of the interactions he tried to speak on, and tried correcting the plays made by the "best McGinnis in the world". One example of this is at 13:40 when the turret is thrown out. This is NOT a turret McGinnis, so placing it behind the wall is pointless. If you pay attention to the locked beam of the walker, it deaggros McGinnis and goes to the turret. It was likely intended for that reason. Referencing a "friend" for information like guardian and walker soul numbers instead of loading up a game is lazy. Looking forward to content that has more than 30 seconds of thought put into it. This just looked like a live cast from someone with 100 hours in the game.
Bro, did you just try and call out someone's accidental fumble, not a very poggers play. I'd go a step further and say you are right, however there is another interaction. he doesn't do it only to remove agro, but also to make sure the guardian is attacking something, because if it isnt then it is invulnerable. So he wants to throw it out to get a few extra seconds for his team to kill it.
I completely agree that he isn't great in this game and his content is low effort. If you check his DotA content a game he is actually good in, he does the same thing. He just takes a recent games goes over it and that it. So much stuff being very unique and will not help most of the persons. And the analysis is very base level, which people below his rank could easily do. His channels are usually just gold to find new fun builds
at 5:05 he could have saved his heal for a play like that. Even tho Lash was extremely low 5 seconds ago he had to heal him so its not a waste like he indicates. And also at 12:37 he only talks about the active part but the main reason he buys it is because the passive works with his turrents.
I normally go gun mcginnis but I'll add healing booster and rescue beam to that build next time, I'm unkillable with bullet lifesteal and standing on the heal
There is no "n" in the word "Turret"
I was coming down here to comment the same thing. Like wtf?
Who cares

i think the buffs spawning at 10:07 is a replay bug. im 99% sure they just spawn at 10 min
yea, ingame they spawn at 10. Replays just start counting the clock a few seconds before the actual game clock starts.

So do you have a build in game we can click on and follow?
This is an awesome build for people who like support and fighting ty
This is a cool build to highlight! I like to prioritize wall over medicinal spectre for the stun but I may have to try out this way
Also I love that you are highlighting support gameplay, it's not as showy but it's important
“Turrints” and “Scepter”
6:30 does this mean denying you r lost guardian nets you more souls than to your enemy?
What does he imbue with the cooldown? Wall is imagine?
Cool down on wall or heal can even go surge on heal aswell for a Lil more juice.
Yo anyone got a build wanna try this out

Speed up cooking deadlock too? omg🎉🎉
At least link the build or give the name in game? The "ultimate guide' but no build ?? ...
The items and skill order are shown in video. Can check out "Quig McGinnis Support 9/30" or "Rey's Support" for an in-game build.
