Thanks for showing these DBJJ quilting. I was so happy to see the dinosaurs. I have a dinosaur quilt for my granddaughter. I wasn’t sure how to quilt it. Now I know.
Oh Ginny, I wish I could feel like that! I tolerate it but I just hate presenters yakking about themselves and using filler language, wasting our time and data, and just try hard to find vids where they just say what they are doing and show it, like in sew very easy and jorden fabrics. Better even the foreign presenters who just write the instructions on the screen and show the work step by step. We dont always get what we wish for . . .😞
The new sewing studio will be awesome. Some sky lights or Solar Tube would really make a difference in the room. Can't have too much light in a sewing space.
Hi Becky I envy you to have so much quilt store around you. Here in Montreal we don’t have a lot maybe 2. When I go to USA I always search for those quilt shop. I did a few on those trips. We have visited 42 states in USA already but St-Antonio is the one I prefer. See you
After 3 years using a “temporary” plastic portable table laid on top of two four-cube shelves for my cutting table, I finally bought a 60 x30 x 1 3/4” workbench top to put on the cubes. I had already installed the cubes on wheels. I could not believe the difference it made in how much easier it is to cut fabric. And it looks fantastic too.
The striped fabric looked like a wooden frame from a distance when you showed us the finished quilt. Very cute!! I’ve made so many girl quilts so it’s nice to see this theme
The dinosaur quilt is adorable!! The colors are perfect!! Lucky you with that sewing room!! Going to be outstanding!! We will expects TONS of quilts and crafty things every week😊
Thank you for your video, Becky, and congrats on your new room! It will be wonderful. Just realized I never shared with you that the seam rippers I ordered from you for Christmas gifts were all really big hits....and I love mine, too. Thank you to your hubby!!
I have 2 South Shore cabinets from Amazon that I love. They have a pull out section on the right that is good for storing a small sewing machine or something, plus a shelf for smaller things. On the left there are 4 drawers, one of which has a pegs for spools of thread. The top is very large with plenty of work space. Check them out before you jump into the kangaroo furniture.
Diane Wolfdd, go to Amazon and do a search on South Shore Furniture. When I did it earlier today the cabinet I have was the first one that popped up. Also, go to FB and search on my name and you may find where I posted a link in a reply to someone else that will take you right to it. I don't think I can post the link here, but will try.
Good to know Becky. I been waiting for Ikea to get some more Linnmon tables in, Because that is what I was going to use for my sewing/ embroidery table. I guess I better start looking for something more sturdier... Hmmm....
Love that Keith is doing so much of the work. The room is really changing! Isn't the Square Quilter in Shiner on the shop hop? That's not far from me (south side of I10 from me). Have a great weekend.
I have the Aussie II style cabinet that I purchased in 2002 and it looks brand new. I also have the Koala Cabinet that I purchased in 2009 and it has issues with the edge wrap of the thermofoil delaminating. I'm glad to hear that you went with the Aussie II, you'll love it.
@@PowerToolsWithThread My unit has the same slide drawer unit which can also hook onto the left door. Depending on the closeness I want for that slide out, I like the option to have 2 placements for it. I do have keep from pulling it out of the main unit too fast to keep the drawer unit upright and maintained in the channel. I only need to think about that when I move the unit. Once it is in place its firmly in place.
Love that dinosaur quilt. Love seeing the sneak peak of the new sewing room and look forward to seeing more. Lighting will be a challenger for sure! Have you considered having Keith ( or someone ) installing some of those solar tubes in the roof? They provide an amazing amount of light to a room. We had them in a house that had a dark living room and they were wonderful, or maybe a skylight with a sunshade you control remotely.
Dino quilt is very cute! Love the fabrics and colors you put with it. Your new space is going to be gorgeous. I've been General Contractor on 2 whole house renovations. Great learning experience!
Hi Becky. Thank you so much for your videos and kindness in sharing your knowledge. I am recently retired and have just finished my first quilt. I use a Brother PR1000 which I have had for 10 years. I have used it very little. I am learning. My question is, when you quilt with a color thread on your brother 10 needle, for end to end quilting do you just use the white bobbin thread? If not do you use regular bobbins?
I am going to start my stitch by row from fat quarters in March. Any suggestions on problems I might run into? I just finished the cross stitch row by row and I love the design.
You will love your sewing cabinet. I do not have an Arrow but do have a Horn and Koala Outback and love them both. Your new studio is going to be lovely and you will not have to worry about social distance in it--LOL. By the way, my cat is trying to help me type this note. I am about to start two quilt tops --one is the Fat Quarter shop Best Friends Quilt and GE Designs Wanda quilt. With Covid just too many designers and shops offering free sew alongs and quilt patterns with videos. Love it but makes too many Rabbit Holes for me to go down and get lost in. LOL
Oh Becky, your room will be just beautiful, I am jealous :) When Keith is done, please let him know if he wants work and practice more building skills, I would love to have him come to MN and help me revise my sewing room. I thought you were going to have the epoxy floors, what happened? I do love the flooring you picked out, such soft colors all around. Please keep up the updates on the room, I need more ideas for mine. Love the panel quilt, it is really cute.
You have Spanky and Darla? I have a ferret named Stymie. lol I cannot wait to see the progress on your new room. It looks very large and should be just wonderful. I have pretty much my whole basement as my sewing studio, since it is no longer full of teenagers. My husband has finished it beautifully for me.
You should do a light pale yellow in there I think the gray is not going to be bright enough. It is going to be beautiful when you are done I am so happy for you.
How to do print the template for the end to end quilt pattern from JuJu? I purchased a few end to end designs, but not sure how to print it to the size I need for the hoop.
I had a handyman working for me , well still working for me. Lol. Old house lots of work to do. I had him remove the useless breakfast bar, and build an island. I told him it was for cutting fabric and pinning my quilts on it. The look he gave, like I had suddenly grown three heads. It made sense to me. So after he left and the island was complete I laid a quilt on it and sent him a picture. Lol. He replied only you would use a kitchen island for a quilt !!! Lol

I just love when you sit and chat with us. Just makes my day!

I love the pieced sewing machine blocks behind you. Do you have a pattern for that?
Excited to see the finished sewing studio!! After much thought, I’m converting my family room area, into a new sewing studio!!
Wonderful idea! Time to make good use of that space. :)

Wow great room. Can't wait to see completed
I love mitered corners on my projects.
I just bought Taos. So excited to make it. Taos will go perfectly with my decor.

The striped border is perfect! You lucked out with your colors! It's adorable.
Thank you. Have a great day.
That room looks huge. Glory be it's going to be a wonderful studio!

Love when your dogs interrupt “hack, hack” lol gotta love dogs 🐕 🐶
You always brighten my day! Excited about your new room.

Loved the chat, fun visit to the room.

Love the colors for the new sewing room❤️
Love your new room
Be blest.
Your new sewing room is going to be fabulous! Love the neutral color palette! BTW my cabinet is a Horn!
Good morning!
Your dog sounds just like mine. Both times he coughed, I had to look down at Dexter to see if he was alright (he was sound asleep)!
Your dog’s background sound effects were awesome! Thank you for another great video💜
Becky. Please take a moment to look @ Anita Good design. OML embroidery. this remind,s me of you. And OML goes. Fromt to back- thanks
Cute quilt! Clever of you.
Where did you find your white cabinets
I especially like the one with doors and drawers
Congrats on your new sewing room!
Too sweet love it
Great job, Becky! The stripe just makes it all pop!!
That’s going to be a great room
What type of thread are you quilting the dinosaur quilt with? Thanks. Love your videos.
Hi Becky. Thank you so much for your videos and kindness in sharing your knowledge. I am recently retired and have just finished my first quilt. I use a Brother PR1000 which I have had for 10 years. For free motion quilting I will make a bobbin from the same thread as the top thread.
I am going to start my stitch by row from fat quarters in March. Any suggestions on problems I might run into? I just finished the cross stitch row by row and I love the design.
No problems that I've found so far. It's so much fun!
Your quilt is beautiful!

Nothing wrong with having too many projects in the works with Covid flying around! Your kitty did a great job! :)

Love the panel quilt, it is really cute.
He says it's too cold.😄😄
But our house is warm !!!! I promise not to have him in the garage, just in the lower level, OH COME ON KEITH :)
How do you/how will you store your threads?? I currently have all of mine in plastic bins but the bins are taking up too much valuable table space🤪🤪
I think the bins my threads are in right now will have their own cabinet. With my critters, I like to keep the thread covered and away from the fur.
You have Spanky and Darla? I have a ferret named Stymie. lol I cannot wait to see the progress on your new room. It looks very large and should be just wonderful. Actually, I'm reconsidering the wall color. Pale yellow might do it. Hmmmm :-)
That quilt looks great.
Keith rocks and that room is huge.
That dinosaur quilt is SO CUTE!!!
Is that a new tshirt? Looks great! Where did you find it?
It's from TeePublic. They have a lot of sewing designs.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Thanks! I'll check it out!
Love the quilt
Great update video ♥️
Dinosaur quilt is so cute! Please add links to your tshirts. That one is really cute!

How to do print the template for the end to end quilt pattern from JuJu? I purchased a few end to end designs, but not sure how to print it to the size I need for the hoop.
If you download Embrilliance Express (free) it will allow you to print the design.

The colour dots are not exact to the real fabric
That's the great thing about juvenile quilts! It really doesn't matter so long as the fabrics are fun.😁
