So excited for you! I have 2 3-year old pups and they are still babies to me, even though one weighs 105 lbs and the other weighs 52. I've been using pro plan for both since day one and have no regrets. One uses a slow feeder and the other uses a regular bowl. You will definitely get to know how personality quickly.

Welcome to the fur mommy club! Sage is beautiful. My sis has that breed but with curly hair. He is a handful!😂 Tips: 1 keep an eye on small items he can swallow. My sis learned the hard way $3500 later bc of a rock. 2 Take him around ppl/dogs & stores to get him use to others & car rides. 3 Potty pads were great for training. 4 & lastly, the rest will come to you naturally.❤❤

My biggest share as a new puppy mom. Don't start with puppy pads. Several friends informed me that even after there training, they will go back to that spot, if there not let out timely My pup doesn't like rain, and had I used a puppy pad, she would have gone back to that spot to avoid going outside. I woke up every 3-4 hours and walked her out, so far no accidents unless her tummy was upset. In my home we say privileged not spoiled. She can't control what her mama buys...lol
OMG...THIS....My plan has been to skip puppy pads and go straight outside but so many keep telling use puppy pads... I dont want him to think potting inside is ok at anytime. Thanks for that reminder, so many different suggestions lol gets confusing
How is your puppy doing in the metal crate? My Weimaraner would be out of that in less than a day lol. Mine is a hunting breed, so I got a more heavy duty hunting type kennel. How was the first night? Stick with the crate training … don’t give up! We gave up after a week and then went back to it … ( should never have done that!) but mine knows when it’s time to go in her crate now … no problem! She is almost 8 months! No escape from the kennel I have! A solid plastic shell. Not like the two piece ones that are in all the stores. Mine is a Ruffland kennel XL and it is awesome! Yes very expensive but it’s a one and done … I should never have to replace it. Know that their will be times when you want to give up … DONT! You got this!
I just want to say THANK YOU for this message because whewww have the first few days been beyond “challenging” with the crate being the biggest struggle” and yes I want to give in and just take him out but I know it’s not a good solution I’m the long run so we are taking it one night at a time lol. I appreciate the tips more than you know🖤

Still watching so I don't know if its mentioned in the video but feeding him near his kennel while he's young will help him associate it with a positive experience. Always have the door open so he can vibe in there whenever he wants. My dog loves his den 🤗

Omg I looooove this video. I've been a dog mom for a couple of years now and I am upgrading my stuff for my pup since I just bought a house. I added the slow feeder and half mat to my Amazon cart because it's giving me everything 💕. Training as soon as possible is key. Introduce him to the car seat or doggy seat belt early. Mine thinks doggy seats are prison or out to get him at 2 so I'm stuck using the seat belt 😂. The biting prevention to teach is when he goes from biting to licking, give him a treat for the lick. My breed is supposed to be horrible puppy biters but mine never went through that phase because I taught him not to as soon as we got home lol. Welcome home fur nephew Sage! He's sooooo cute! I added the slow feeder and half mat to my Amazon cart because it's giving me everything 💕. Training as soon as possible is key. Introduce him to the car seat or doggy seat belt early. Mine thinks doggy seats are prison or out to get him at 2 so I'm stuck using the seat belt 😂. The biting prevention to teach is when he goes from biting to licking, give him a treat for the lick. My breed is supposed to be horrible puppy biters but mine never went through that phase because I taught him not to as soon as we got home lol.
