New subscriber here. I made the mistake of asking my husband if we had some old playing cards I could use for crafting; I am now the proud owner of about 20 packs of cards he found in an online auction, so I'd best get busy 🤣
Hi Sue, welcome to the channel love. Now, as i'm so behind on my comments and i see it's been around a month since you left this message, i expect you to have used at least 10 packs😘😁🤗💜
@CameliaCraftsDesigns not even one, yet! But hopefully soon! I did order some of the collage paper, gesso, and brown sticker paper from your Amazon list tonight, so I definitely will be doing this next week! I'll be out of town over the weekend, or I would start right away.
Ok...I’ve checked out some of your other RUclips vids & they are all wonderful! Yippee! A new adventure awaits! Thank you, thank you, you make beautiful things!✌️🦄🧚♀️
I wish that rose paper was still available. Oh well, I bought the birds and grabbed the new Halloween paper while I was at it. I’ve never bought the collage paper before, but I love these altered cards so much. ❤
A pleasure watching. Thanks heaps for sharing. I'm still binge watching you. Wishing you and yours the Happiest n safest of Easters. Bless you all. Hugs
OMG Wanda, thanks love, i hardly ever use it as it's so expensive. But then i end up letting the expensive stuff go off as i don't want to use it, which makes it even more expensive😅 i need a rest now😘🤗💜
Fab cards! For small glue or gesso tasks I buy cheap dish sponges 10p each and cut inch squares off - doesn't waste sponge brushes or time cleaning them - get about 8 uses per sponge.
Greetings, ma'am! I just came from your Amazon store where I purchased some of these jumbo cards, the sticky brown paper, and an embossing dauber. Honestly, you have the BEST STUFF in your shop!! 😁 Thanks and hugs, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Hi Dorothy, thank you so much🤗 I did intent more videos over Christmas, but I've slept for England. I'm going to be snoring in the 2024 Olympics😳😁 Hope you've had a lovely Christmas🤗💜
Your running commentary is so funny - you make me literally laugh out loud, which is good medicine. Your colloquialisms crack me up - I wish I knew what most of the meant!
Lol!! I love listening to you as I create - it's inspirational and entertaining. And I have sooooo missed life in the UK - hearing things like "while I went and did my Asda shopping" brings back many memories. Still, I mustn't get too distracted, or I my glue will get gloopy, 'and we don't want that, do we Deidre'? 😉
Ive got some lovely Christmas napkins that would, I think, make lovely gift tags. Like you I’m sure I have jumbo cards but don’t know where I’ve stashed them, so will buy more. I also have white and black gesso but not clear….another amazon order 😊thank you and bye for now 💁🏼♀️
That would be a wonderful use for them Pat. I reckon you must have put them somewhere safe😐 I have a mythical safe space somewhere in my home that has swallowed up alot of stuff 😅🤗💜
New subscriber here…under 3 minutes in, and I’m hooked on you and your humor. Glad I’m not the only one who can’t find things I’ve tucked away for future use 🙄🙄🙄😂🥰 Of course I’m still with you…..😂😘
Hi Cheryl, welcome to the channel love. I gave up trying to look organised early on in my RUclips journey as it just isn't me😅 I've learned to pause if I need a ponder on where I stashed stuff😁🤗💜
Oh wow! I’ve feel exactly the same way as the commenter below! You are absolutely delightful! I like your energy & attitude & of course, to those of us here in the US, your accent is fabulous! It’s as fun to hear you speak as it is to watch your great tutorial. I’m so glad you used large playing cards, brilliant idea, so much more area to make pretty. I’m looking forward to checking out your other tutorials! Thanks so much for doing this! Sending love from the Northern California Coast! 😊💕🌸🌺🌼🌸🌺🌼🌸🌺
I am going to use to my deck of inspiration cards because they are just sitting around. I love the idea of decoupage on the cards. I feel like I am right in the room with you when you show your crafts! thanks!
These cards are absolutely gorgeous. I love your style and technique and your playful delivery. It would be so much fun to sit across the table from you and create together. ☺️ I will be adding this project to my list of fun things to create with playing cards. Thanks so much. 💐
I just started following you and Junk journaling. I have tons of paper from card making and am no longer selling cards so I thought junk journaling would be fun
Hi Yvonne and welcome to the channel😊 That's exactly how i got into junk journaling. It really is a fabulous way to incorporate all the stuff left over from other crafts. Have fun love 🤗😊💜
Love love love these 😄 I have been following you for quite some time but on my other account which I watch on the tv, the only problem there is I can't comment. I will just have to rewatch some of your videos won't I. Julie you're an inspiration and such fun I am sure to have a wee cack every time I watch your videos and get inspired to.
Great cards, love the result & the sticky brown paper you used...genius, makes life way more simple! I got some smaller playing cards from Poundland (4 for a pound) that I use in my travel/mini journals, I leave them shiny & I put washi tape on them for decorating journals "on the go", the washi tape sticks well, removes well & can be replaced for next time 😊
Going to make some of these cards. I have a box of jumbo size from the dollar store. I have never seen the Tim Holtz bird or flower paper. If you don’t buy his products when they come out your chances of finding them later is difficult. Thank you for sharing your talent Julie. 🌹🌷🌹🥰
Hello again, Julie! I’m always glad to find something I missed before! This a really great idea for a little bit different kind of tag! Do you think you could lie the card down like you did on napkins? I have lots of the TH medium I need to use up, before getting a liquid version, I think it’s a bit trickier to use… but I like this idea, so I think I’ll round up some old cards & give it a try! Thanks as usual for an educational & fun romp in the craft room! Erica❤
Hi Erica love, glad you enjoyed it Mrs🤗 laying the cards down should work, but giving it a whirl is the best way to find out, i may give it a whirl too. Playing cards are one more thing i have way too many of🤗☺️💜
These are beautiful! I will have to try making some. My granddaughter has some cards that are missing their mates so they will become ephemera instead of filling up my trash can. Thank you!
Thank you so much Trudi😊I love this kind of ephemera, it always looks like you worked way harder on it than you actually did. hope you have fun making yours love🤗💜
Thank You so much for the video. I was just looking at my jumbo deck the other day and tried to think what to do with it…. Thank you so much for the answer!!!
Clever and cute. Would mod podge work instead? Have to say that my new favorite word is “Craftalanche” that you said on another video I watched a few days ago. Make me giggle. Hubby said my whole craft room is a craftalanche”. Love your videos and running commentary during your crafting along.
Hi Mindy, still catching up with my comments. I have quite a backlog after covid and the school holidays😶 Mod podge us great for decoupage, I just personally find it too sticky, which I know sounds crazy but I'm quite heavy handed and I tend to tear my paper when I use it. I've had a few cat created craftalanches lately😅😁😊💜
Hi Lady :) Wow have I got some catching up to do! My eldest is still with me, but he's out atm, so I'm sneaking a video in! Blue Peter, there's a blast from the past! Those collage papers are delicious, going to have to get some! Those tab dies you linked me to arrived the other day! Lovely!! Ive got piles of tabs now, lol :)
