Go to 5:55 to see the damaged iris leaf. I did put the shutter/iris all back together and re assembled the camera and it all worked. After a second drop when the mount failed I replaced the shutter/iris.vibration reduction with a new assembly.
When dismanting, I couldn't disassemble cylindrical black plastic case separately.....although this video is showing two parts disassembling at 5:50 time interval.....pls help me !!!!!!, if you know the possible case for this problem.
I bought my daughter a P900 for her 21st about 2 1/2 years ago and then, last year I bought myself a P1000. They are great cameras. Unfortunately, my lens barrel is a bit 'grindy', so may have to get it looked at.
Regarding Nikon Cool pix P900 camera. Some abnormal sound happened when entering home position if Lens as shown by attached picture . Possible cause is too much external axial force by hand. I want to repair by self repairing .I have complete tools for repairing including any screw drivers in my tool box. If you know, pls tell me the cause of abnormal sound. Full lens stroke is may be no problem for moving from telescopic to wide range.
My p900 lens has not fully retracted back to it's position, resulting in the camera not being able to be switched on again correctly but resorts to a lens error disclaimer or would just turn the display pink. How do i fix this problem? An insight will be appreciated
Howdy, I have a CP900 and it won't turn on, even when I have directly connected to a power source the screen only flashes on for an instant, but then turns off. Any idea what this might be? Thanks in advanced babe
@Rick Sanchez You obviously do not know a lot about photography. Let's compare it to a midrange DSLR with an APS-C sensor size. Let's stick to the same stable and price range and look at the D7500. Cameradecision has the D7500 kicking butt for Portrait, street, sport daily and landscape photography. Their final word: "Nikon D7500 is the clear winner of this comparison. It has a higher Overall Score and beats Nikon P1000 in all criteria. It has better general image quality, more features, more compact body and offers more value for the money" How stupid is that?
Yes it's good when it works but between us, level material It's a nice piece of crap. It's been 2 times that it crashes objective level and still the same breakdown in addition choppy image in video and black screen as well on the touchscreen as in the viewfinder warranty exceeded 1 month they put me for 200 euros repair and no parts in Stock I had to wait for a lease before it was repaired. And it's not a fault of use it's their junk. This device is to be banned.

I will think upon it. Tried a different battery? Original USB lead?
@@whereswa11y Thanks for the reply! I have yet to try that due to time, but will do that. If it still doesn't turn on what would it be?
Did he drop it from low earth orbit? :)
I always thought th p900 was a DSLR with interchangeable lenses.
And now, due to extremely poor choices, the thing is covered in fibers, lint etc. You'll never get that mess cleaned up.
Except for taking grainy pics of ships disappearing over the horizon a DSLR or Mirrorless with a few decent lenses is probably a better option
