What a great Song, some of bossa nova, jazz, blues....excellent interpretation of Slow Hand Eric Clapton.......enjoying all your music...greetings from mexico city!!!!!!!!!
I really hope he puts out more stuff along these lines. Been a Clapton fan since the 60's. Major influance on my playing too. 45yrs and still playing Crossroads at least once a week.
I had the chance to attend to the Paris (FR) concert of this tour. Billy was not in the lineup but Paulinho da Costa was. 3 years later in Paris, Billy was there. It's the only time I saw EC performing this wonderful tribute to a major music genre.
Hey, Eric, my teacher, how's life? Too much heat in the northern hemisphere, is not it? It seems that global warming will not cause problems. Continue playing better than yesterday. Your musical refinement and his guitar very well treated always impress me. Professor, I learn a lot from you. When it comes to Brazil will be in the front row. A big hug. Vinirayblues
Uma homenagem de Eric a João Gilberto, quando o Eric viu a apresentação do brasileiro em meados de 2000 em Londres, eric ficou impressionado com Gilberto, no ano seguinte ele fez essa versão.
Eric, please promise me that you will bless me with this exact sound later this year in September. Someone special is going to be there and they absolutely love your music. It's a Surprise. #ericclaptonfan
THIS WORK OF ART WAS MY IMPETUS TO BUY A GUITAR. i AM APPROACHING HALFWAY TO PLAYING THIS INTENSELY SIMPLE BUT TECHNICALLY INTELLIGENT REPTILE. IT IS POSSIBLE.
If you enjoy Nathan East ...pull up FOURPLAY..his band ...doing their rendition of Marvin Gayes AFTER THE DANCE. Nathan plays stand up bass..Bob James on keyboards, Harvey Mason on DRUMS, Lee Ritenour on guitar...with El DE Barge on vocals...ALL STARS ALL.
@anthonythirteen sort of, my friend. the term was coined by Eric's friend Charlie Cumberland, who used it with the phrase "Here comes that reptile who plays the banjo", referring to Clapton. and his calling his Uncle Adrian is quite a compliment. so, yeah, he used the term to describe his uncle. i dont know about naming it after him, but he definitely used it as a term to describe his uncle
:-) Good answer. Personally I tell people that all music is elevator music, it just depends on the elevator. For example, death metal is elevator in freefall.
a timeless song of love and pain.. beautiful, emotional, and pure.. a truly remarkable recreation.. again, the subject was surely Pattie.. love is blind.. isn't it..
@coal4life Glad to see I'm not the only one doing that. The "Wheels Of Fire" version is one of the greatest rock guitar solos of all time and a great workout for the hands.
This just might be the greatest group of musicians ever assembled as a band. Ever.
True! but the band comes Close... also stuff!!
I was lucky to be there. It was an indescribable magical night I'll never forget.

Thank you, GOD!
One of my all time favorite instrumentals. Love seeing Nathan East playing with Clapton! Went to high school with him.

Please this is just one of his big collection, may be not he best.... but Clapton is a composer, not just an ordinary singer, or musician.

This is what happens when a group of wonderful musicians get together!
We're on a beach, it's close to sunset but the sun is still beating down on us. We dance on the sand and work our way into the crystal clear ocean.
