For all of the new people coming now that heared it on the news and that are trying to figure out how to disable that: 1. Scroll to the bottom in settings 2. Click on Privacy 3. Click on Usage & Diagnostics Click on Personal and then turn it off 4. Click on Ads right above Usage & Diagnostics Disable both options I don´t know if this is all what he showed you but maybe it will help you. (I have the Xiaomi Mi 9 with MIUI Global 11.0.5)
Man, I wish I could give a recommendation for Xiaomi right now. So far all I can recommend is their Poco F1 phone because of how they want to cater to the enthusiast market and promise /only/ a 3 day wait for unlocking the bootloader. Which, there shouldn't be a wait at all. . .but hell, I was given a 30-day wait to unlock the bootloader of my Global Redmi Note 6 Pro If you like MIUI, then I say go for it since you won't mind using their software while you wait for a bootloader unlock. But I am just not a fan of their OEM skin
If you can bump that to around $270, then I highly recommend the Poco F1 - www.gearbest.com/pocophone-f1-_gear/c_11293/?lkid=17511615 But if you're tight on cash then the Redmi Note 6 Pro is a fantastic mid-range smartphone that is good too - www.gearbest.com/redmi-note-6-pro-_gear/c_11293/?lkid=17511623
As far as I can tell, no, they are not collecting passwords. I have no idea if they're collecting email addresses or anything. . .but if you already have a Mi account, then they already have your email address
today my pleb network gone super slow than usual and I check what device is eating my bandwidth so I turn off/on each wifi device we have and xiaomi is the culprit and what its doing I'am surprise the gallery has the highest data usage. I don't fukin care if it send tons of my nudes somewhere but for crying out load can you not use the whole bandwidth my god 721ms on pinging google
@@ExplainingAndroid I read in my Redmi note 7 that they are collecting email, bank account number, job title, credit card number, gender, and many other details.

Not a problem, glad I was able to help

Does Redmi have a Chinese spyware?
Still worth getting any phone from them like the Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2, or any in general bro? With everything that's gone on with Xiaomi.

Android Explained alright, and I've never used a Xiaomi device before. I'll have around a $200 budget, which one in the price range you think is good
