Once again, awesome job! Short sweet and to the point. Keep up the tutorials, looking forward to more! These are the type of workflows that help me better understand how this ties things together.
@@JasonYadlovski Yeah, I've tried that. I was just hoping that I could change a setting inn a node to make it do this rather than having to take the "outside loop" to get the effect I want. Star Trek transporter technology! 🙂
Great video! As far as I understand the random seed does not really do anything quantitative, so it won't really change the result (e.g. like things being more random). It's simply creating repeatable variations of the 'physics' for each number value. So it's a slider only to be used whenever you're not happy with the way a certain turbulence scatter looks and you want another option.
I love this. You're a good teacher and a funny guy, too. What more could we ask. I followed you exactly and it worked fine. Tried to replace the text I'd used with a jpeg, it just wouldn't join to the first node, pemitter, I think. There was no little joining triangle to the left. I've noticed a few nodes like this. I know it's probably something I've done 😉. Keep up the great work 👏
My comment is how well you create instructional tutorials that are to the point with very little fluff. Great job! I also have a question for you . . . what model and type of headphone do you use for production? Appreciate your answer
Thanks a lot, Jason. I subscribed to your channel a while back and I still check out the new stuff you publish weekly. Thanks again for all the great tutorials you create!
That is a standard transition in Davinci resolve 19, I think it’s called displace. Look in your effects library under transitions and you should see it with the other fusion transitions.
Very cool. I got it to work. My question is: Is there a way to render it out as a clip. (Say an exploding sub button) I tried it and it no longer has a transparent background. It is transparent if I leave it a fusion clip. Any idea? Is there something I'm doing wrong when I render it out as a clip? Thanx in advance for any info.
You can only do transparent backgrounds in certain video formats. From what I can find you can use a Quicktime/mov format and use the DNxHR encoder and that will give you a checkbox for an alpha channel right under the frame rate.
Hey jason , currently i am struggling with a "beep" noise in my audio , when you listen to audio in windows it has no problem but when i put it in davinci resolve it gets random noisy beep sounds that is really annoing they are not load but noticeable , i did go to preferences- system - control panels - and ticked the midi audio - i found some kind of same proble. In google and someone said to make sure that microsoft gs wavetable synth is not in output and i only have that option so i can't change it not sure what to do to get this beep noise away from my voiceovers , ty in advance
Hey! I'm on a Mac, so I'm not familiar with all the PC settings. But if you aren't hearing any of the beeps outside of Resolve, you shouldn't inside of Resolve. My only thought is maybe you're using a plugin or tool that is a trial version and is putting the beeps in there? I know if I use a waves plugin and they don't renew my license, it gets a silence spot over 30 seconds or something. Other than that, I don't know what it's be causing the beeps.....
@@JasonYadlovski love the fact that you are always replying , thanks for the quick answer , i upgraded it to the latest version and it got fixed not sure what it was but it prevented me from going and learn capcut , or even instal premier to just fix that part , thanks
Oh goodness! I tried this on my PC... and it melted. Pro tip: when you're tinkering with the particles, set the Density to 0.25 or so, and it'll give you a preview, sort of, without having to wait several seconds [in my case] for each frame to render. Follow-up question: How do you make it look like your MediaIn1 is turning into particles, and then blows away?
If you mess around with the turbulence you can make it look like it's flying away. My computer is a little slow with this stuff too. Time for an upgrade. 😜
@@JasonYadlovski OK, I'll tinker with the turbulence. I tried changing the velocity and stuff... didn't get what I wanted, ran out of time, LOL. Yes, time for an upgrade. My old 2070 SUPER GPU is ... old. Something with 64gb of RAM and a 4000-series GPU ought to do the job ;)
I am using the latest and greatest DaVinci ... I have a green screen background. I have labored at this for 2 hours now and it is just totally not working.🤔 I actually did accomplish this before the latest upgrade and it was cool. Now ... not so much. What am I doing wrong? I tried in a new project (a 2 second clip). I could send you the project if you're willing to troubleshoot it.😁
I just recreated all your steps and made a nice composition. But when i copied that from my experimental page to a video project the effect was not copied or copied with errors. I made a compound clip. Nop, didn't work. Same timeline resolution and framerate. Any ideas why?
You should be able to copy it, I was able to with no problems. You could always try rendering out the clip and then bring it in as a rendered clip. Assuming you’re able to get it exactly how you want it in your test.
Hi bro...i am importing 4k footage from ps5 and it's in WebM format... but whenever I create timeline, audio track of that footage is not coming in timeline...so, please can you help me....😢😢😢
Hey! Are you on Studio or the Free version? The Free version is limited in the file types it can play/use. Studio opens up more options. I'd say you probably have to convert the video file to something more friendly.
When I try to switch the Resolve logo to another logo of the same size (or to any other image of any size) pImageEmitter and pTurbulence don't do anything. I can't click the two white dots under the nodes. Only switching back to the Resolve logo works. What could be the problem?
HELP ME HELP ME PLEASE! I did a video a couple months ago and now I had to add some extra information to it. The problem is that the audio won't sound the same no matter what I do and I don't remember how I made my original audio sound as good. Now my new audio sound terrible especially since the previous audio was so clean. I tried putting it in the same track to see what it does and the only thing that happens is that it brings up the volume of the new clips a little bit. ANY IDEAS PLEASE HELP ME HELP ME PLEASEEE

You're really good at explaining this stuff, thanks.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful
Glad to see you doing something other than audio.
QUESTION: Exploding is real cool ... but what about going in the opposite direction ... the particles congeal into a logo or video?
I would just render out the clip, then bring it back in and play it in Reverse.

Great stuff, Jason! Thanks for this tutorial. 👍
It would be cool if you could also "pulverize" simple 3D objects.
simple, handy, thank you!
I just reversed the effect using your tutorial of un-exploding rose. Worked great.
Great!
You explained it very well bro! Thank you very much!-more power!
let’s go he actually made something explode! nice tutorial btw
Sure did. Didn’t want to disappoint people after they wanted to see the rose explode. 😜 not exactly the same kind of explode but you get the idea.
thanks Jason, you make Fusion look easy.

Jason, thankyou for sharing your knowledge with us your awesome !
Id love to know how did you make the crazy displacement transition you did at 0:16 ?
It's actually a standard transition in DaVinci Resolve 19 called Disarrange. 😜
Wow! Cool! Thanks a lot! I watched it all and saved for future reference. But I failed to isolate yourself. 😊

How did you do the transition from yourself to the tutorial?

Thank you. It seems to work only when Fusion Media In node Media Source is Timeline, not Background, which would be much more versatile.
I'll have to give that a try and see what happens for me....👍
