Do you need to declutter? Do you need to organize? Do you need to do both? I sure do! This video is my final video in my January decluttering and organizing series! This week I tackle all of my kitchen items and I also go back and revisit the places I’ve already decluttered and declutter even more! Well friends, we’ve made it to the end of the New Year Declutter and Organize series! Today I tackle kitchen items and revisit some areas! I thought I was done decluttering, but I wasn’t! I still found more things! I hope you’ll stay tuned in until the very end because I give you my totals for the entire month! Some weeks were better than others, but when you put the month together, the final total is CRAZY!! Thanks for being here and I hope you’ve enjoyed this series!

Impressive. We think we’ve decluttered and the space is good and then we finding more. That’s the situation I’m always in. This morning I was straightening up the medicine cabinet not looking for anything and was able to declutter about 5 things. We had 6 decks of playing cards. We don’t play cards, ever! lol. 🤦♀️ I love those hanger I have them everywhere. I did pink in my daughters closet and black in my husbands. They really do save space. Decluttering is a never ending battle because we are always bringing stuff in. We tackled the garage again and it’s amazing how much we still find. Thanks for a great video! Good morning to you, Grace!! You are definitely right it is a never ending battle and there is always something or some area that seems to need decluttering! You mentioned decks of playing cards oh my goodness I bet I have the same amount and we never play cards either! I bet I could go through all of my games and find a ton that haven’t been used for at least a decade! 🤣 I’ll have to make myself a note about that for the future! oh my so you went back to the garage it looks so nice in the last photo I saw!

What an impressive haul! It amazes me how beneficial it is to go back over spaces and how you catch things you missed the first time through. I am definitely in a phase of getting real with myself about "if I don't use it, let it go!". Tough to do sometimes but SO worth it. I am glad you are open to suggestions from viewers. I admit I haven't really thought to participate that way but if, in the future, I have any suggestions, I will be sure to share them. You never know who might benefit from it. Hi Matt! I thought it was an impressive haul too, especially since this was week four! You are right, it is definitely tough to let go of some things! I will admit though, even after all of the decluttering I have done since I started my channel, there is not one thing I have regretted letting go of!
Regarding suggestions, absolutely, I am open to them! I think sometimes we get blind to the things in our own home, and it’s good to have a new set of eyes, or many sets of eyes watching! 👀👀👀

How fantastic! I have always saved cool whip containers and such bc in the “olden” days, we used that as Tupperware. We stored all our leftovers in those used containers.😉. I love the idea of keeping only manuals that our house specific! Genius! Boy, do the right hangers make a difference! Love how that closet looks now. I really like that you did a review of the spaces you had already decluttered. I get decision fatigue while decluttering and the teacher in me always thinks - I can use that for something! lol. What a fantastic series! Loved every minute of it! Great job, my friend!🥰
Hi Jennifer! Oh, yes, ma’am, back in the day we sure did save all of those tubs. There was no such thing as all of these food storage containers that we have now! I remember my mother had a stack of Parkay butter tubs that she used! my goodness I sure do say back in the day more than I used to! Lol! I’m getting old!!😂 that is a great way to word it about decision, fatigue! When you’re in the middle of the big project and you’re just wanting to get it done, I think it affects your decisions, or at least it does mine! Incredible total! It has been really enjoyable to watch these last videos as I find myself inspired to go through some areas of our home to get more serious about decluttering. I am very proud of everything I was able to part with this month! Now, let’s talk about what’s really important…. The game! There will be cheers and jeers in our home as well. I have no doubt that your team is going to make it extremely tough for us to come away with a victory! It really will depend on which Chief team shows up tomorrow. Your team has definitely been the most consistent throughout the year. If we play like we did last week, I think we could win, if we play like we have been the other weeks of the season, it won’t be a good outcome for the red and gold! 2 nights ago, I suddenly got the urge to move something in the kitchen. This snowballed into an hour-long reorganize of MOST of the drawers. Afterwards, I had to call my husband in for a "tour" so he at least knows where the pots and pans are now 😅 But, it's so much better! 😉
I love your comment because it rings true with my home! Sometimes I will get a wild hair and rearrange things and then I feel the need to be considerate and let my husband know what I’ve done! I am better than I used to be, but I’m known for rearranging furniture and moving things around the house and completely disorienting my husband in a matter of a couple hours! Lol! UPDATE : My goodness,friend.... you did a lot. ...what a wonderful way to wrap up your " New Years Month " Series !
I will do that, as well... with certain types of containers, ..to re- use those , ...my thing is using them for ...mixing paint colours... or other such things. Lol.. They are perfect for doing that ,and I label it, with the date, etc. Every so often ,I do use the Lunchmest ones, for storing food items ,since they can be put in the Dishwasher, and are convenient, because they stack . I don't purchase a lot of Lunchmeat, but those do come in handy if needed. :). I don't use those Washable Food Storage bags, ... but my daughters do. ..; I just have this " mental block " about them, lol..( or is it Psychological ? Lol !) I used one.,once or twice ....but , I'm just so weird that I didn't care for those, lol.

I too have a Collection of Jackets and Coats ... but I have gotten rid of only a few, because I do wear them ,at different times, for whatever I need . The closet looks nice, im just not a fan of thise tyoes of hangers, l.ol. I actually use the nice wooden, sturdy coat hangars ,as some of my Coats are " dressy " and need to retain thier shape. I tried using the slim hangers for certain things...but I'm not a fan ,after those created rips in my clothing. I have only a few ,for certain items of clothing...I like my " Crystsl type" hangers that stores use, and the White Wood ones,for heavier things like Blazers, etc. But we use what we like or prefer, and the closet you did looks cohesive and well organized! ( no surprise, Miss Dede!)

..! Msy I inquire as to where those were purchased ,...? I saw those and thought ... " soooo lovely. I might need those "...lol. I seldom purchase anything like that ....but those .... they spoke to me, lol.

Well, hello again, friend! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Keeping the food storage containers for mixing paint colors sounds like a perfect use for them! The jury is still out for me on the washable food storage bags. There are some things I like to put in them and then other things are not as convenient at one point I stored some cut up raw, cauliflower and broccoli, and it did not work out real well because it crumbled and it was hard to get down in where the seam is to get everything out, I do them for other things though and I like that they take less room. I have really been enjoying the ultra thin hangers and haven’t had any problem with them, but my husband‘s suits are still on the thicker wooden hangers.
Thank you for noticing my patterned glass canisters! I have gotten several compliments on these and get ready to be shocked. I received them from a coworker at school when several of us had a gift exchange. The budget was very low, but the person that had my name just spoiled the fire out of me! She got the canisters from Dollar General and they were $10 for the set of three that you saw in the back of my cabinet!! I absolutely love them and it was very rare for you to see all three in my cabinet at the same time because usually I’m using at least one or two of them if not all.
