I’m having a similar issue on my 05 Summit 800. Very wet under the y pipe, found a couple loose screws, one missing. Found all this because the compression was down around 87-90 on a go to Harbor freight compression tester 😅
Yeah, you need to make sure the Y pipe bolts are tight and the y-pipe to exhaust piper is sealed correctly. You don't want to suck air here, it can lead to a blown motor.
Yes, that makes sense. We started talking about it and then we tore it apart a little more. One of the pistons is scored. We are just going to do a top end rebuild. Thx for watching
Check PTO seal and split the case or check runout to see if bearing went I asked my friend of mine who used to grassdrag in newhampshire skidoo is notorious for bearings on PTO side leaning out causing burn down on PTO side
Paisteboy should keep that sled the 600r might have a little more power but my friend who knows skidoo says the tried and true are the older you can clutch for equal upgrade in power the gen 4 MIGHT BE TOO FAR FORWARD he likes the 90s era triples but had a mxz tnt 2015 with a blown up etech and replaced the crank on it and cylinders only reused the bottom case and after a few years he sold it running good very fast looked brand new
Oh man There he is JUKE 🚬 can’t wait for winter this guy is a bull in a China shop mama lock you’re doors bring the children in get the bikes out of the way mister JUKE is snowmobiling again Shag is giving him a sledd what a great guy I’m going to ring the bell and subscribe 🛎
Hey Mark, we took it apart a little more. We found the one cylinder was scored. We are going to replace pistons, rings, gaskets and seals. It was nice to see logged on to the Mudbrats podcast
Now this is the video I was looking forward to!!! Made my day great video
Thanks Alex. Don’t worry, we will get Zuke back on the trail again. We need him for our trail side chats
@@shagboys2251 I was smiling when I saw the notification!!!!
@@shagboys2251 lol
@@alexkraw5990 Don't worry, the season is right around the corner, more snowmobile stuff will be coming. Thx for watching
Hopefully once it’s Fixed and rebuilt there won’t be anymore break downs ! Love the videos
Let's hope. There is nothing worse than breaking down. Thx for watching
Parts should be in on Friday so I guess we're working on it again on Saturday.
Can’t wait to get Zuke’s sled fixed so he can ride this year
crank seals, full gasket set, rings....run it until crank bearings give up.
We will rebuild the top end and we should get her fixed up. Thx for watching
how many miles on the engine that led to this issue?
I think this sled had 5,800 miles on it

The only gasket that will affect compression is the top head gasket, the lower and case gaskets will not.

I just bought another blair morgan but the guy that had it put 1.5" lug track on it...can I stud it without hitting the coolers?
What size studs are you thinking ?
@@shagboys2251 I ordered 1.52"
@@mattandkatchristie2552 Those are pretty big, be careful
What ended up being the issue with this?
We ended up buying a used motor. Most likely it was the crank seal, We sold the old motor and let the new owner know it needed to be rebuilt
Check PTO seal and split the case or check runout to see if bearing went I asked my friend of mine who used to grassdrag in newhampshire skidoo is notorious for bearings on PTO side leaning out causing burn down on PTO side
Will do, good advice. Thx for watching

Nice video Shag! Always something with his sled ha?? 😆😆 Question is, will it last after the build?? 🤔🤔🤔
Hopefully it lasts the season. Yes, always something with everything Zuke owns. Thx for watching
It's a mystery. Head gasket ?
