I started a house when I was 30. I’m 56 now. As a young architect, it would be my signature achievement. On a beautiful lake, I got so lucky with the site. It is concrete, ahead of its time and is now the envy of many but it was painful in ways. We live it in full time now and will never leave. You learned early what I finally realized. You have to have ‘balance’ … take your time, enjoy this journey. Don’t rush it. As long as you keep it protected from the elements (which your going to be great at soon enough) the key is to enjoy the process. TAKE time to do the things you enjoy along the way because it is a long, long haul. Make those memories and do the things you love. Don’t miss out. Happy to say after the long journey, my Son and I are building a second house in the Vermont mountains. And we’re in no hurry to finish it. As much as I look forward to a completed house with all the comforts, I know now I’ll miss the camp fires of framing scraps and sleeping in the camper along the way. Enjoy.
Amen ❤❤❤✌
r u hiring any one to help work ?
Very wise truthful words 🤝🙏🏼
You are and amazing person wow I just love this channel they just don’t make men like you very often I can get enough of all your Videos❤❤❤
I lived in Invuik for a year years ago there is something amazing about the deep cold there just something special about the people how they look out for each other
@JefferyEpstein666 Every one will be rush to hire Epstein 666 I'm sure
Taking a break, getting outside, being with positive people = the best detox ever! 😀Take care 👍
Thank for giving me the opportunity to watch from your perspective while you kayak. I only went a few times until marriage, work and children kept me from the adventurous outdoor life. I'm disabled now and restricted to my electric wheelchair and hospital bed. I'm grateful for finding your channel. Although I was briefly saddened because I am unable to even walk more than 20 yards, you did bring joy to my heart. Mark ( Bear ) Smith from West Texas
Thinking of you, Bear.❤
Don't forget to take care of yourself, Timmy. If you aren't enjoying your journey, since even the things we enjoy can be exhausting, go find your joy again. Thank you for sharing your life with us, we want you to keep sharing it with us for a long, long time. Take care, Sweetie, sharing your light gives other people light too 😘
You can tell this man is a real Alaskan, mid October he is walking around in a tee shirt and shorts. Good luck with the build.
20 above zero is a heat wave in a Alaska! Especially with close to 9 months of snow! I lived in the
Big Lake/Houston area for 13 years and by Halloween… full parka snow gear for trick or treat. It’s either 20 below or blizzard! It’s worth though.
Or a Canadian!
@@annelowry357Yeah, I was like "what's the big deal? It's raining; it's not cold!"
Glad to see that you are taking a break here and there. You have been so focused on your house build for a while now. Like you said in this video, you are refreshed and ready to get back at it. You have made so much progress on the house and I can't wait to see when it's finished.
No shi*... You are always in 10th gear, i am always in awe watching your neverending and enduring energy and plans you make and everything you do all the time and it all looks so easy... I am kinda relieved seeing you too are human and you do need a break... 😬🙃✌️
I've said it before but I'll say it again...by far my favorite channel!!! Please keep giving us these awesome videos and of course take care of yourself and if you need take time away from RUclips we'll understand and will be here when you come back!!! Again thank you for sharing these amazing videos!!! You have inspired me to get out on the water and it's changed my life!!!
New subscriber here. I’ve been binge-watching your videos for a week. It’s a very good way to get through these unsettling times. ❤
Some people go their whole life without knowing when you need some R&R. Happy you have the awareness and are sharing so others can see the return on the investment for you!
Wow! Loved watching you run the creek. Looked like so much fun and relaxation from the build.
Yesssss!!! I'm too chicken to white water 😅
Hang in there Tim. Seeing the size of your project as you drove off to go paddle was quite a statement. You are building a castle. Stay the course. You’re an inspiration.
Man Alaska area you been showing us lately is just beautiful
Running a good whitewater stream was always my favorite relaxing pass time too. Enjoy.
Awesome. I started kayaking in 74… I can say you can take the kayak away from the person, but you can never take the rush it gave you away! I still have a kayak , but only fish in the summer off of them. 😊
It was nice to see you rolling towards glenallen a couple weeks ago. Trucks looking as killer as ever.
You have the right philosophy for how to deal with a large-scale project. At regular intervals, you should disengage and refresh your mind and give your body a break. Fact is, there is no forcing stuff to happen faster in Alaska during October...just gotta take what we get. Push during a break in the weather, recover on sh!tty rainy days.
Your right, sometimes you need to walk away, Reboot, then come back Refreshed, Smart move, then we get to have fun too,,, loved it timmy...
Now that's a good video Timmy 👍🌴.
Love the 9 minute mark where your time stands still as you 2 dance at a stand still face into the rushing waters, the ROAR must've been EPIC. ✌💪
Keep diggin Man U are doing what some. People dream of 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🙏🏻
Good way to charge up! Thanks for another run!
So been watching your channel for sometime now. At the end when you said you where going to see horseshoes & handgernades I almost fell off my chair!! I know those guys well!! Been watching them here in Wisconsin for a good 10 years plus!!
Small world my friend
Thanks for the advice to stop and recharge - I really needed that right now.
We enjoyed again ,Timmy, me onthe ground XAVIER from above 😊
All will be good as long as you have fun with it, life is good, good to see ya as always.

Well said Timmy. As you drove away from the house it looks like a huge undertaking. You deserve a break!

Timmy this is the only way I would ever do river rrafting so thanks for this adventurous nerve recking experience loved it
This was great.
I felt like I was on the river with you.
Good luck with the rest of your build!
God Bless!
Good video….loved the creek ride🥰❤️❤️
Morning Tim! I’m here! 😘💘
That looks like fun, But I would never do it 😮😮😮👏🍁
You are so lucky you get snow! I live in Raleigh, North Carolina (US), and we don't get snow. We get flurries every several years, if we're lucky. I love your videos and your house you're building, is beautiful! I LOVE the spiral stairs. Thumbs up!
Keep your head up bud. You’re building a whole ass house. You got a lot going on. And you make it all work perfectly. Keep on keeping on brother.
Outstanding 👍👍👍👍
Your river rafting I enjoy ! Thank you !
Glad you took some down time to relax and recharge. Thank you for sharing that beautiful rainbow. A thousand blessings to you, brother. 🌻🌻🌻
The order in which you do things has this unique rhythm to it, Tim. I never knew watching someone split kindling, starting a fire, making a single cup of joe with some oven-baked cookies in a camper could be so wildly entertaining...but it somehow is. James Taylor wrote a wonderful song about this many moons ago called "Secret O' Life." It sounds so easy but lots of people fail to follow his lyrics and never do it...
"The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time
Any fool can do it
There ain't nothing to it"
Such a lucky guy. Living in such a beautiful part of our planet. Thanks for sharing, I really appreciated that little slice of nature.
I really like your videos. Thanks to you, I have a new dream. I watch your videos over and over again. This relaxes me and makes me forget the stress of daily life for a moment. greetings from Turkey...
Handsome, you're living your life. So wonderful to see. Look forward to seeing your wonderful home come to life.
That looked refreshing hitting 6 Mile.. and the band at the end is the kind of energy that is uplifting putting a smile on ones face. You bring out the beauty of your surroundings for us to gaze upon in these vids. Alaska has so many via's to travel down.
When you lose your keys in the grass, you know you gotta lot on your mind! Well deserved break! Love the channel dude!
Horseshoe and Hand Grenades is from my hometown. Been awhile since I watched your videos. Been binge watching your house project videos.
I spy the Graco airless, used one 20 years ago, those are so slick I finally got my own house 5yrs ago and bought one last year.
Im from Kentucky!! I love Alaska!!
Thanks for sharing !!!
Think is true living right here.
I definitely understand what you're talking about!! I'm glad to hear that you are feeling refreshed and ready to get back at it. I'm actually here in Alaska for a week of refreshing myself. Maybe I'll see you around here Timmy, and if not thank you for giving me ideas of what to do up here. If it wasn't for you and other people from Alaska I probably wouldn't have made this trip. So thanks again Timmy!! I hope the Lord blesses you, your family, and all your projects. And enjoy this nice fall weather!!
That band and song are great! Id love to hear more of their music.
Oh, I like country music ✌️😁👍💕
Heyy Timmy it's good to take a break sometimes, glad you found time to go enjoy yourself with your friends, stay safe
Wild ride thank you
Thank you for the video ! ☺♥
Wow 👏 great on the river, you and your friends. 🇦🇹
I built my house more than 30 years ago; two other rehabs since then and....DO it while you're young. It just gets harder! For me, the keys were: "White Board": I used it to write out- graph out the "order" of things. To think aloud...and make notes/reminders. "Photos": take lots of photos to chronicle what you're doing, have done; accomplished/Finished. "Blast Building": for some things, recruit some friends to blast out a project ....like pouring concrete, lifting rafters/beams, trenching a foundation perimeter, drywall, etc. My house took me (5) years to complete, 80% solo.
time to chill ! 😊
Wow the kayaking footage was Stunning thanks
I love watching you do all things
IT LOOKS AS DANGEROUS AS IT LOOKS GORGEOUS. 😇😇😇
Lol, well to each his own, but after working 3 jobs to the point of exhaustion, the physical and mental exertion of white water kayaking and partying is not my idea of "recharging"! I'd be thinking of some quiet time, maybe a little extra sleep and relaxation, some vitamin rich food and prayer or meditation, but then, I am an introvert! To me, trying to fill every heartbeat with activity and distraction, is the most exhausting of all! Anyway, I hope you are feeling better and ready to "get'er done"!🤗
The point is going and doing something you love as a break! Get away.
@@bucky716 Yes, you're right and I get it. I was just trippin on the way different personalities operate.
Cool vid enjoyed seeing you doing what you love outside - woohoo looks like fun
Bud I can't wait to see you when you get it done
That must be your favorite Speedway.. That's where I saw you last March in a heck of a snow storm... 🙂
I’ve been enjoying your videos no matter what your doing, thx for sharing!
Loved to see you back out smashing the creek again!
Wow…this is so exillerating!!!
❤️ it is looking great.
Great video and great message. I try and suggest often to friends that they need to schedule a day away from the grind of life. It doesn't have to be a lavish vacation, can just be a fun few hours doing something else ya love.
The perfect end to a perfect day....❤✌😎👍
.
Just take your time building your house and take a Breather if you need it and your subscribers like us Completely Understands.
Very cool seeing Hope. I passed through there a couple of years ago and met up with friends. Had a great meal at the Seaside Cafe. Great vids of kayaking the river. Used to do some whitewater canoeing back in the day, but those days are behind me now. Taking a break from your project for a day is good for the brain and the soul..
Great video. Thanks
How could there be such good music and good musicians in such a remote area? Wow.
Timmy I really do enjoy your videos man I was watching one of them 6 months ago you were in a snowstorm have you made some type of food that my God made me hungry you be careful son in these days this is Terry and I'm in Wichita Kansas
Fun episode Tim. Rosie and I had our new Brinkley fifth wheel to Alaska this summer. Probably the first Brinkley to see Alaska. Did a little jammin on the way We also are Wisconsinites like the band. Burlington Bill here busking on the road and on you tube.
Sometimes you just have to get away from it all and recalibrate... Awesome vid Tim..
Great video, Timmy!
I’m seriously considering selling my 300 acre 5 mill ranch on the California coast to relocate in Alaska. What’s going on in the lower 48 is no joke anymore.
I'd ROLL!! Good luck whatever you decide
Great vid!
I first saw your channel with the newer video where you were talking about your bird having passed away and now watching this one that's a little bit older and seeing them both still alive is touching.
Thanks for how and what you share of your adventure.
We appreciate your inspirations,,,taping into nature creativity and the ability to make dreams come true. Keep up the good work. We're in this together.
