  • One of those rare times we all three got together to play. Ben is playing his Martin D-18, Jim is on the Taylor 314ce, and I'm on the AC3R. Hope you like it...

Thanks :-) It was something we put together quickly.... It is hard for all three of us to be able to get together at the same time, so practice time is limited.

@@thomashayes3417 that’s pretty cool and I’m honoured that you’re trying one of my songs! I had a lot of fun transcribing your song Abram Falls! I wish I had tabs for Akinsdale but unfortunately, I’m just not good at making that kind of stuff. I don’t know how to read music as well as I learn, strictly by ear. Nonetheless I try to record my videos, showing my hands so the people watching them can hopefully figure them out by seeing the positions of my hands on the fretboard. good luck good luck!! 🙏👍👍

@@colindamo - We "play by ear" too. I think there are both advantages and disadvantages to playing that way. It's fun anyway!

Hi Hayes Brothers! Really enjoyed this, thanks. I’m curious if we might be related?
My GrandDad, Ray Hayes was from family in Tennessee, and they went to Enid, Oklahoma probably just before or after the Depression… Maybe we’re long-lost kin!

Well, if we look far enough down the family tree trunk, we just might be! :-) Yes, we are brothers. From left to right, Tom, Ben and Jim.
      Thanks for the kind comment!
