Outstanding review on this bike which I purchased 3 weeks ago! This is a great beginner bike, but also its perfect for people who have a disability that prevents them from using gears and/or a clutch. I absolutely love my Honda CMX 1100 DCT! Thank you for this detailed, concise and informative review.
I think you missed the whole point that its not supposed to be a traditional cruiser...
Great review. For a 180cm tall rider it is perfect. For taller riders not really. You covered everything. I rode the 500 and for what it is, the Rebel 500 is a very good bike. Can check my test ride.
Very good review.
And also not missing some humor (recommendations for HONDA 🙂).
What a nice city in the background! 👍
Always good, honest, reviews...
Stay safe
Very honest review… Very much appreciated..!!
Cool! ...the big rebel. And
which brand of helmet is it?
It's a good retro style!
Beautiful footage and review ☝💯👏🌟
But .. it's globaly fanstactic bike with DCT... power and light more any harley or Indian. Tks HONDA power of dream
Good review.
For me, I cannot justify the extra money for the 1100 over the 500cc.
They look the same, both are twins and both do 100mph (160kms).
I do not need all the electronic user modes/gizmos that are likely to make the motorbike less reliable and costly to maintain in the future.
Honda should have made a 4 or 6 cylinder cruiser like the old CBX1100.
I have an 2018 Africa Twin Adventure Sport with all the "modes/gizmos" and never had a failure or trouble. These Hondas are super reliable. _But_ if you are worried about the modes & gizmos breaking just get an extended warranty like I did for 5 more years (6 total).
I do plan (if it's God will) to replace the Africa Twin with a Honda Rebel 1100 _"manual trans."_ as I am getting too old to mount that high beast of a bike, the Africa Twin Adv. Sport.
BTW: like a car with cruise control mode, no one really needs that gizmo _but_ if you were to go from New York to say Texas you would wish you had it. So... modes & gizmo make our short lives easier & happier. Don't be tight spend the money.
@@sweetcostarica I live in the UK and with the traffic on the roads have little opportunity to use cruise control. I am loyal to Honda for motorbikes but consider adding a Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor. If I had to choose between manual or automatic on the Honda Rebel, would take manual also even though one hears good things about the Honda auto.
@@johntheaccountant5594 You live in the UK, *sorry to hear that.* _Joking,_ I love you guys, nice people but not your government & your gun laws.
But I will pray that you get whichever bike you truly want. Again, life is too short to "settle" for second best.
I have no experience with Royal Enfields or Triumphs (so I can't comment) but hopeful if I come to England to visit my friend Simon Hengle I will test ride them.
My feeling is: *_"John The Accountant"_* should buy a *2022 Honda Rebel 1100 in DCT.*
Why: He knows he deserves it.
_EDIT:_ I say "in DCT" because you should try *new* things so you *know* whether you like it or not. But I have heard good things & _"bad"_ things about the DCT system.
@@sweetcostarica I actually live 50:50 Thailand:UK now. I got tired of Treason May as Prime Minister and no intentions of Brexit so moved my capital to Thailand. The Honda Rebel 500 is well adequate and is actually manufactured in thailand for the world market.
Great review, thanks.
I'm 1,93 m tall, so this is sadly not a good fit for me. I hope Honda will make a bigger frame version with a bigger tank, but I doubt it. Thanks for the review!
At 1.93m, I would be looking at a second hand Honda CB1100.
The strap snapping dude simply wants a Harley-Davidson.
Nice Review Sir
