  • Another low cost French OTIS elevator from the 1970s, but this one has been refurbished probably in the 2000s with new car interior and strange looking fixtures. Seems like the controller is still original as the elevator starts and stops abruptly, similar to many old two speed AC traction OTIS elevators.
    This is in an apartment building with some doctor's offices on the 1st floor, so the front door is unlocked during working hours.

    This elevator looks nice even after the mod, I like those fixtures. Those button panels are called Otis Alto, and are also quite rare in continental France, I haven't found many of these.

      Is the flat stainless steel variant also part of OTIS Alto? Any sources that prove these fixtures are known as Alto? I couldn't find brochures or publications of these fixtures on Wayback Machine sadly :(
