@@adamhuntoon355 LOL. No, I have been an avid viewer since 2014. That's why I hate click bait titles. I think we should take action and not watch them.
The last point was right on! I sold my Seiko blue mini turtle I bought from Macy’s after it sat in my drawer for a year. Next year I regretted selling but still wasn’t keen on the blue but got a Jones for the Pepsi version. Bought the Pepsi from a guy who also sold his blue mini Turtle and then got the Pepsi but stopped wearing it. I asked if it was authentic, and get this, he says he bought it from Macy’s. He was glad it was going to someone who went through the same “love and lost” phase and back in love again. I’ve been wearing the Pepsi a lot and thoroughly enjoy it. I’ve also sold my orange Orient Ray ll that I never really wore and the feedback from the buyer was ecstatic. It felt good knowing that it brought joy to someone rather than gather dust in a dark drawer. So pay it forward with no regrets.
Don't do it. The memories will make you regret it. I'd bet somewhere down the road even if you aren't wearing it now the love will return. Sell if you are trading up not just because you are having a temporary love affair elsewhere. Everytime I've dumped something that I loved once I regretted it. Stuff I never loved no problem. Good luck.
I always have to remind myself that Jory didn’t invent time (he just tells it). I often find myself expounding on Jory’s role as a founding architect of the time-space continuum. And then I hear the T3 outro, and I come crashing back to harsh, cold reality.
This afternoon, I traded away my Omega SMP 2531.80. I thought it was the one I would never part with, but I was wrong. I found it a great home with a guy who now feels about it like I did when I bought it new. I traded it for a trumpet worth $3,000 more than I paid for it from an authorized dealer. A watch I wasn’t wearing for a trumpet he wasn’t playing. We both made a great deal for ourselves. I sold a Ball Hydrocarbon Trieste limited edition. I would love to have that one back, but finances prevent me from replacing it.
Own a Seiko tuna Marine master Ninja for 3 months and gained one second. The 7C46 movement is LEGENDARY and worth all the hype and it's probably the only Seiko I'll ever need but might add a Darth Tuna or Golden Tuna. It's soo hard to go back to a automatic Seiko movement after experiencing the 7C46.I even dig the Tunas connection to the Bond film 🎥 For Your Eyes Only. Roger Moore also wore it in the film North Sea Hijack 1980 so it was his personal piece. There is just something kool about Bond watches that only made a quick appearance. Like the Heuer Night diver aswell
Yikes! Thought you were shutting down your channel! In terms of the content, that makes sense. I have watches that I absolutely love when I was younger (wore a Seiko Kinetic Arctura every day while in university and my first job). Now that I have a larger collection of watches, I almost never wear it anymore (brought it out again once last week, back in the watch box again). The downside is that because I wore the thing for so many years and have alot of memories with it, I can't give it up. I love my Pelagos, Planet Ocean, Longines and Hamilton now so I feel like I have to wear one of them every day. I will say that your Baby Monster looks cool, I think black coated watches are neat. Poor Seikos not getting as much love anymore :(
Sometimes you just need to grab a (quartz) watch and go. I keep an 'atomic' solar watch in a spot with lots of light, so it's always charged, synchronized and ready to go.
I have been collecting for just over a year. So, I haven't gotten overly attached to any of my watches in this way. I can completely understand having a timepiece that is attached to memories and how that can impact one's appreciation for it. I am also a collection addict and I have gone through probably over 300 watches thus far in my journey. I currently am trying my darnedest to keep my collection to 24 watches. It's been difficult to say the least... as I do appreciate as much variation as I can get, in order to get exposure to various price ranges, brands and styles. I am learning what my tastes are. Much like any collector of anything, you hone down what you really like or dislike about something and this guides you to your next purchase. T3... I can also respect not wanting it to be just a watch that stays in a watch box not getting "love." So it is very cool that you set it free and let someone else enjoy it. As of this post, your video is just over 21 hours old and I bet that watch sold in less than 5 minutes! Enjoy your content, your humor and just your "you being you." Thank you for these videos... for us "watch addicts" roaming the earth. Peace!
This was the video I needed to see. I have 9 watches in my collection at the moment: five Casios, an Invicta Pro Diver, a Citizen Promaster Ecodrive, a Fossil Chrono, and a generic clone that looks like a Rolex. I don't like owning watches I don't wear, and that's a problem when you have that many. The Duro and the Polex are on dead batteries, so may have to go soon. So I totally feel you. I took my A-500 out of rotation and brought in my Forester. It's less useful than the A-500, but it looks way cooler.
yup, same.. i pretty much regrets buying coated version watches.. should have bought the natural uncoated ones.. unless it's at least slightly coated, like brushed gun grey metal..
It's weird. Sometimes my inside voice would say something like "ok let's see what does my mind want me to wear today?" "What mode am I currently in?" It's like you don't really plan out these different moods that your brain chooses to go for. So when your brain changes mode, you change mode or whatever the hell that may mean.
It's been a couple of months since I wore my Baby Tunas. I've been wearing watches that haven't been out of the box for a while.. But sometimes , you just want to wear a DIVE WATCH. Baby Tuna time.
Something I can relate to. I haven't sold it yet but I'm seriously thinking about selling my Rolex 214270, 39mm Explorer I. Loved the watch but lately it hasn't been on my wrist that much. My other watches get more wrist time.
I sold a spinnaker watch. It was kind of a POS watch but I got so many compliments, it was also one of my earlier watches in my collection. I sold it because it was too big, but now with such a large rotation I don't mind an oversized watch
I've noticed a while back that I've no more Seikos in my collection... They're just not doing 'it' for me anymore. Most everything I saw from them in the past few years was one big - meh...
Mine would be my IWC Mark 16. Sold it a year ago to get a shiny Omega Aqua Terra .... missed the stark beauty of the IWC, and a year later amazingly the guy i sold it to sold it back to me for the original price... Sometimes selling is a mistake, but usually its the right thing to do, if you no longer feel the love. Wearing my IWC on a "coyote" CWC nato and it's all the watch i want
i got a STBR011 lowercase/united arrow limited edition baby tuna with a yobokies lowercase stbr shroud for $50 bucks on craigslist. i'll never sell it. but i feel you.
Enjoyed the vid. ⌚😎🤙 Ironically, the watch I had seller's remorse on was the Seiko SRP637 Baby Tuna. I bought one right after Seiko released it. Sold it in 2015 or 2016. 😒 Ended up buying another new one in 2017. ⌚😎🤙 This one will not be sold - unless it's for financial reasons.
i got a ckock off tuna the other day just to check if it would look good on my ridiculously tiny wrist and i just enjoy the way it looks and feels so much that now i am convinced i want the real deal.
The Tuna is the better one. As you say, you don't use it that much. I'm sure if you sell it, that person would surely love it and may get more use. Good video, keep it up.
Interesting. If a watch in my collection doesn't get worn in three rotations, it's gone. Price, uniqueness, none of it matters. Have i regretted it? Sometimes.
