- This Downton Abbey Inspired Furniture Makeover takes Furniture Flipping to the next level. This French Provincial Dresser is being refinished using Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paints in a design inspired by my favorite character on the show Downton Abbey. This is episode one in a new series I am calling Downton Abbey Inspired Furniture Makeovers. I hope you enjoy it!

I love this idea. I love everything Downton Abbey. It would be hard to know what to pick ! Also, the white lightning link is wrong it looks like the same as the handles. Please do more of these. I want to tackle something like this but have never ever done it before. It is amazing what you have done. I need a clone to do this project.

This is fantastic!! And I love that you took a theme from a TV show's era and costumes! I have to say... I was so fascinated watching the color blending, and when you took out the stencil, I thought, ""OH NOOOOO!!"' I was envisioning some white lacy cheesy effect. But my gosh, you nailed it! The DARK stencil is what did it. Just absolutely gorgeous.

For someone who’s not a big fan of French Provincial - or blue furniture for that matter - this outcome is STUNNING! ❤🎉 I literally did a double take at the end. I’ve never been too successful with stencils but you made it look easy!! Thanks so much for your effort and opening my eyes to new possibilities. “The Grantham” is a winner! 🌟😄 (I have always loved blue and black together…🤪)

Lovely. Using clothes and fabric for inspiration is so exciting. I have a pair of Jammie's and the colors are pretty together. Lel of made by Marley just used those exact Jammie colors in her latest video. Furniture painting is so rewarding. I love your work. ❤

I was recently asked by a client to do a blended painted dresser an hombre pink. I may try this out on an old piece I have first. You make it look do able. Thanks for sharing your trips and tricks! Just gorgeous - great color combo! Good choice of hardware and oh yeah, love that stencil. Elegant and refined - just like Lady Grantham's ornate dress. I need to look into getting a couple of stencils like that for my next project, I wonder if they have anything suitable for kitchen cabinets. Thanks for a great video and all your tips along the way.

I love the look! I have also been inspired by dresses from shows. One that I still haven’t done was a gown from I think the series Reign. It was like a French Linen color at the top and blended into a Dusty blue at the skirt..Had some sparkles at top.
