I was diagnosed in December 2009 with leukemia (AML) and went through chemo and full body radiation treatments. It took me a year and half to get my immunity levels back to normal. I survived with the lesson that I learned and pass on to my patients. It's not a question of WHY this has happened, but if you know Jesus as your Savior it will be the question of WHO will be with you as you go through what I call the "Valley of Uncertainty". I had been a Christian since my surrender to God's son since 1978 and I knew He was there with me during those rough days knowing with an assured certainty that whether I lived or died, I would still be in His presence - nothing would have changed.
he means that he doesn't want to just act like he is a christian... he wants to actually be one. and follow through with everything that god has set out for him.
I was abused for several years and finally spoke up on may 17th, 2009...this past March I finally felt true healing take place in my heart. The Lord is so amazing! He lifted me from the pit and brought me back to life.

This song hit my heart ❤ strongly. Back in 2009 I was falling away, becoming a lukewarm Christian. I went to church going through the motions, but feeling further from my JESUS. God moved me and my family to Idaho. It took a couple of years but I found a church that preached TRUTH. I am now walking stronger in the Lord Jesus, and love 💘 being in His service. (Growing in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ is a daily experience).
This song is so powerfully relevant for Christian's. Life can be so ritualistic and mundane you're literally going through the motions waiting for theat heavenly spark to bring meaning to life. I pray God gives me that passion for him. Thank you Matthew West for this important reminder.
Exactly I know what you mean. This song 🎧 reminds me of all the horrible times in the hospital 🏥 when I had to go through brain 🧠 surgeries. I honestly believe it’s because of Christian music 🎶 that I am still alive today.

I heard this song travelling this May, didnt catch who or what the title was. Little did I know what I was getting ready to go through. Wife had already walked away June of 14 three states away with my two girls. Lost my house and July 7th like lightning I had a Major depressive episode and became suicidal. I thought I was losing my mind because of my medication prescibed for depression was affecting my undiagnosed bipolar too. I prayed and cried and prayed and so on. For two months. And by the end of that my diagnoses is Major depression disorder, Anxiety disorder, rapid cycling bipolar type 1, borderline personality disorder. Im not here still because of my power. I couldnt stay in that place one second alone. Today I heard the song and it reminded me of me. He has shown me signs and grace. Now Im being patient enough to let his path and plan unfold for me.

I'm so disturbed right now.. My good friend, Robby has decided to resent Christ. He's been a church friend of mine for years. He decided that the church was too hypocritical and that everybody within it is evil. He says I'm the only person he ever actually saw follow Christ. But I guess he's wrong.. Cuz if I really wanted to do something, I would have made a difference in other people's lives so they can assist in making a difference in his life.. I don't know. Prayers for my friend!

This song changed my life 14 years ago. Hearing it one early morning and singing it loudly to our God, He lead us to raise our two great nieces for Him. They were 3 and 8 and are now 17 and 21. God is good and has been faithful to help us every step of the way.

I’m 20 years old I’ve been addicted to meth for the past 3 years I have 3 felony charges against me and 3 misdemeanors and I’m losing hope just keep me in your prayers because I don’t wanna spend my whole life asking what if I had given everything. I feel like my grandmas dying soon and i don’t want her last memories of me to be as a drug addict. I’m laying in bed in tears as I write this and I just wanna change.

This song could be 3 hours longer and I'd still want more. It's just so powerful and musical and foot tapping, head nodding, and body moving that it leaves me listening to it on repeat, still hungry for more.
This song broke my heart... Until you are facing the uncertainty of surgery, where everyone else is in control (and you are not), you will never know how faithful God is, and how much He loves you and gave His life for you. Jesus is my healer, no matter what the world says.
Surgery is not the only thing that does that. All humans will hit this point ....because life is joy and loss

God is my life. Hes the only reason im here today. God put us on this earth for 1 reason and that reason it to tell people about is son Jesus Christ. Im not afriad to tell people about Christ they think its a joke but its not its real life. they joke about it now but they are going to be begging Jesus for forgivness at judgement day. On August 2nd 2019 I got a call saying my uncle Matt had been in a motercycle accident and was in the ICU. We went to see him stayed over night being told he was gonna pull through and he was gonna be okay. August 15th we were told his spleen was going to rupture do you the pressure in his head, soon in August 16th we took him off life support. Then after I started smoking, drinking and doing drugs. My friends found out and we all went to church one night and prayed. God is with you through everything.

Some people I have sing in real life said i should go on American Idol, thinking about that. I been through alot already but this just begun, Here a question would you rather have a temporary thing or permeant thing? Eternity is Permeant, forgive our sins Lord.

I wouldn't go to American Idol. I would start singing & create a channel on here. American Idol is about creating an image & gaining notarity in the world. Start singing at church & maybe in town at talent shows or coffee shops. God can elevate you more than a tv show can & let him move you not the world. Sorry not trying to crush your dreams but I want you glorifying God. These shows will allow some singing about God but not enough. You'd be better going independent.
I would trade my entire 49 years of meaningless existence on this planet for one moment where I Glorified Christ and changed just one person's life.

Who’s here after hearing Matthew West sing at the virtual March for Life 2021?
Matthew West, you are one of my favorite singers. I love how you take ordinary people's life stories, including your own, and turning them into a song that fits a lot of other peoples life situations. You also put God's word into your songs and I love the message I get out of them. I, for one, am thankful that God healed you to be able to continue to sing about Him and His grace and love. Thank you for all you do and may God continue to bless you and your band.
Kind of like how Matthew West went through, I always questioned about my future and would worry too much about. Worried too much to the point where anxiety and depression crept through. I would always question my worth and if i'm ready for more changes and whether they're going to be good or bad. Maybe both. During the two years i kept it to myself, I slowly slipped from God and those two years were the worst. After two years, I couldn't handle it and I finally told people at my church and my slow healing has begun. I'm closer to God than I have ever been but I still worry and still suffer from anxiety and depression but I am also reminded everyday that God will provide and wash those worries away. God didn't want Matthew West to lose his vocals so God won't let me slip or anyone slip. He will provide. Thank you Jesus for us and Matthew West

This song reminded me of my why. Why I was pushing myself in school and sports . To prove something to everyone and right before state my last match I had to win in order to qualify. I listened to this and fought till the very end and won. This song really pushed me to be a better me not only with god, school or sports but with myself .
Had been a complacent Christian for years. It was easy and it was good enough for me at the time. Last November a good friend of mine (coupled w/ the Holy Spirit of course) pulled me out of that mess . . . and the best part is that she had no idea she did anything.
This song means so much to me. A few years ago I had a breast cancer scare. I remember crying out to God, telling Him that no matter what happened, I would use my life to glorify Him and try to make a difference in others lives until my death. I'm not sure if it was a test to see how I would react but my next test results were negative and the spot was benign. I give my life fully to Him and will not just "go through the motions." I can't speak for the other 2 persons, but Lisa accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior, she got baptized. Best decision she ever made. My thoughts and prayers for her family and friends. I heard this for the first time on Klove right after it came out. I was in the car with a lady that invited me to church. I was deep in my addiction. I didn’t get saved until later, but the song stuck with me all through the years. I finally looked it up with the lyrics. It was this song.

Mathew West, God Glorified Himself through your weakness and test. You described the struggle of my whole life! I never give up to look for the right job, and I am not talking about the one with most of money, fame, comfort. I am talking about the destiny that God prepared for me. Most of people just work for an income and not for a purpose, most of people dont look for vocation or give the best of themselves, they just want to survive. I always wondered what you said in your song 'what if I had given everything?' and that question turned deeper, real, hurt, when I had to go through two surgeries in less than 4 months, this year!! and no-coincidence on God's plans but... my last surgery just involved my vocal chords just like in your case... now I cant talk or sing at all... I am learning to be patient and to use wisely my voice, my words, my expressions. God is molding my character in this trial time. Thinks I couldnt see when healthy. I thank Him for what I am learning... First song I wanna sing when I am back is THE MOTIONS!!!! GOD BLESS YOU MATTH!!!
